My wife and I renovated our family room and needed a 65 inch mounted, move a 46 inch from the family room to our kitchen and move the 40 inch in the kitchen to a bedroom. He removed the 40 inch that was mounted over the fireplace in our kitchen and installed it in the guest bedroom, again with no wires visible and then he mounted the 46 inch over the fireplace in the kitchen. TL;DR: extremely unprofessional and incompetent. Trust the negative reviews. Do not hire. I hired Mike to remove an old mount and install a Mantelmount MM700. He was quick to call me, send me an estimate and it made me believe he knew the mount. We scheduled the install and he showed up alone. During the install: - he installed the new mount upside down on the wall. He had to remove it and remount, leaving two extra holes on the wall that he tried to hide with the wall cover clips that come with the mount - he installed an optional swivel kit without asking, so the TV now swivels only in one direction - removing the old mount created a hole that was patched up poorly - the TV was not mounted level - the handle of the mount was not secured - I had to purchase a separate adapter for the soundbar. He said he'd come back to finish the job when the adapter would come in. Unfortunately, I did not realize the problems with the install before I sent him a payment. I then reached out to ask to patch the extra holes he created on the wall because of the mount flip and to remove the optional swivel plate he installed without asking. I asked if he could do it when he was supposed to come back to finish to install the soundbar. He agreed. The adapter for the soundbar came in and I sent him texts to schedule the install. Like other reviews pointed out, this is when the ghosting started. So I was left with a botched wall patch up, holes on the wall because an incompetent install, a TV that can swivel only in one direction and a soundbar adapter to install. I sent a chargeback for part of the payment on Venmo because of these issues and lack of response on his end. As quick as he was to ghost, he was also quick to call right after the chargeback. If you have limited free time or an important deadline, please learn from my experience: I was looking to have an outlet installed behind my wall-mounted television to avoid visible wires, and I was hoping to have it done during one of my rare days off. When I called and spoke with Mike, he gave me a reasonable pricing estimate and said that he should have availability on the day in question, later the same week. He told me to text him my information to proceed with scheduling. Several days went by, and Mike was minimally responsive, sending occasional short, noncommittal texts but never confirming a date and time. When I straight-out said that it was okay if he was not available but I would want to look elsewhere for service, he finally responded that the date would work but again failed to respond with a time or time range when asked. After several days of this frustrating and unprofessional scheduling process, Mike proposed a 1-hour time range which I agreed to, and then I never heard from him again. I spent my day off waiting around and Petraglia services never showed up. They never called or sent any messages for cancellation, nor did they responded to any of my messages or phone calls. My day off came and went, and not only did Petraglia fail to do the job they agreed to do, but they completely wasted my time and essentially prevented me from booking someone more reliable for the same time period. I had a horrible experience with Petraglia services. Mike was referred to me from a friend of my family. Mike came by and I had him install two TVs with two wall mounts. He seemed nice enough and I liked the way the TVs looked. He didn't have the right equipment to install a sound bar so he said he would come back. I had no problem with that. FOUR missed appointments later and my sound bar is still not installed. Three out of the four missed appointments he just completely blew me off. He had an excuse each time I called him. I should have known Mike could not be trusted when he said if I paid him in cash he would give me a discount. I asked for an invoice but he "forgot it in his car and would email me asap". Never received my invoice. And the only discount I received was on his service. I definitely overpaid for what I received. On top of everything else we know a bunch of the same people and Mike still treated me this way. I can only imagine how he would treat someone he didn't have a connection with. I believe I saw them recommended from an advertisement on Facebook so I said what the hell and went with it. The guys he brought with him seemed like they were either detoxing or still on drugs, very sketchy feel to them but I figured they wouldn't be long. Took a few hours to do a simple mount and I flat out did not feel safe with having them in my apartment by themselves so I had to stick around to keep an eye on them. Needless to say I ran a background check before I would write a review and sure enough two of the guys he had with him had drug priors, the owner gave off that vibe as well. Free advice, ALWAYS run background checks before you allow anyone, especially this particular handyman service into your home. Both of them said that they would call us back but we never heard from either of them after our initial phone call. He arrived when he said he would and quickly found out what was causing our problem. he had jobs scheduled on the following day but came on Saturday and fixed the problem.
