Near Freeway and Highway you could find typical American Food. I ate medium sirloin steak (ok) with French fries (bad). Salad bar was ok, incredible with sweet cream for topping. Service is friendly, style typically, prizes ok. If you are guest in MOTEL 6 you get a discount.

T-bone steak, eggs, home fried potatoes, also came with bread (not pictured) for 12.99

I wasn't expecting much from this diner but i was impressed. the food was pretty good and our server, Shea, was nice & friendly. My mom, dad, & I ordered the 12.99 special for the t-bone steak, it comes in breakfast or dinner. we chose breakfast and the steak came with eggs, your choice of potatoes (hash or home fried), and some bread and a beverage. My boyfriend ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes. My sister ordered kid's grilled cheese and just fries for my son. We all enjoyed our meals. My boyfriend did mention that the salad/soup bar didn't look appetizing. But other than that the food was pretty good.

Country fried steak with a little twist.

I was looking for a bakery in that area that did wedding cakes at a reasonable price that had great reviews and came across MG Bakery in Gustine. Gustine is so close to Santa Nella so thought we would give it a try. I called and got in touch with Gladis who helped me throughout the entire process. She was so helpful and gave me so much guidance on what I needed. She suggested ordering cupcake samples to try out the flavors of the wedding cake.. she also gave me suggestions on what the best sellers were, what filling goes best with the bread and also gave me feedback on my budget. My husband and I drove from SJ to the bakery and tried them out and omg they were all so delicious!!! We ordered guava with custard filling, carrot cake with vanilla filling and strawberry with strawberry jelly. All were so good! The bread was so moist and the flavors were so different and tasty! I sent Gladis photos of my inspiration and they did exactly what I asked for. We ordered a 3 tier cake and also did an order of cupcakes and it was almost all gone.. haha. Luckily the hotel staff saved my husband and I a plate of cake. We got so much positive reviews from our guests on the bakery. The pricing was so reasonable and honestly worth more than what they charged because it was THAT GOOD!!! Oh and by the way- They also delivered the cake to the venue for a small delivery fee and set up for us. They put the cake topper on and the greenery on the cake and cupcakes. It was so stress free. I am so happy and pleased with MG Bakery. Thank you Gladis and MG Bakery for taking care of us on our special day!!! (Photos courtesy of Kapptured Photography from Fresno, Ca)

Seating area consists of 3 tables, and they've got one of those mini arcade games for the kiddos as well. Overall pretty small dining area but Gustine isn't a big city so didn'texpect a ton of seating. Menu is displayed on a couple of monitors in the wall as you come in. The pasta is cooked in an open kitchen right behind the counter as you order. Pretty neat to be able to watch them make your order. Ordered the Volcanic Fettuccine because who doesn't like a spicy Italian dish right? Got it in a bread bowl with added chicken so cost was just shy of 20 bucks because of the upgrades. Didn't end up eating on site because it was really close to closing time for them and didn't want to be "that guy" so took my order home. The fettuccine was really good, cooked well, and the sauce was actually spicy. Not as spicy as I was hoping it would be, but it did have a nice kick. I'd definitely have it again. Overall, nice family run place with home made pasta. Would have ordered a pizza, but they ran out of pizza dough, since it is house made they don't have any extra in the fridge/freezer like you'd expect at a lot of places. If you are in the Gustine area looking for some really good home made pasta check them out. Definitely worth the drive.

So, as you're driving down the I-5 and looking for a place to get delicious sandwiches, this is the perfect spot! And, while you're there, stock up on wide variety of handcrafted sausages, brats, beef sticks, bacon, marinated meats, dry rubs and more! We brought an insulated bag with ice packs to put them in. We grabbed some for family we were visiting in Sacramento and stopped again on our way back home to stock up. We tried the Brisket and Ribeye sandwiches. The bread got soft fast, maybe a little too soft. They were both hot sandwiches so not sure if it was from a little too much bbq sauce, juices from the meat or how it's wrapped. The brisket and ribeye were tender and juicy. I liked the Ribeye a little more since it had mushrooms, bell peppers and onion. I would have liked the bread to be more toasty since we ate the sandwiches there. But, that's my preference; I love more texture in my food. Loved the variety of sausages, brats and beef sticks that we got. The bacon was a lot thinner than we're used to. We bought lots of their dry Wolfsen's seasoning since it's one of my bf's favorites! I loved that the beef sticks that weren't too oily and very tasty. I wish we had gotten more of them! The sausages were so flavorful!! We tried them in a variety of dishes. Now, I suddenly feel those visits may increase exponentially. I've also never stepped in the store, but have only longingly gazed at it from outside, as they were still closed for the New Year. But if there's one thing I can say about it, it's that the fudge is amazing. Unfortunately, I could only try two kinds, but the fact that I plowed through the Tupperware full of the Peppermint fudge seems to tell me I'd probably enjoy other varieties with as much enthusiasm. I've also tried the Gingerbread but the Peppermint won me over. It's incredibly soft with chunks of soft peppermint candy sunk into the chocolate. But unlike other fudge that often feels so dense and so sugary your teeth start to hurt, C.R.'s makes it feel like a light indulgence and fantastic (nightly) dessert--so good that you eat five or six and pretty soon you've managed to eat your way to the bottom of the box. My mom tells me that the fudge's sweetness is matched only by Carol herself who makes the delectable squares. It warms me to know such talent surfaces in a little town, and unlike other shops that may fall by the wayside, C.R. Fudge better stay in business if the people know what's good for them. This visit happened to fall on Mother's Day weekend. We had reservations for both Saturday and Sunday, but we stopped in on Saturday to cancel that day's reservation since we'd already eaten lunch and knew we wouldn't be hungry by dinnertime. On Sunday, when we checked in for our reservation, I was impressed -- the hostess remembered us by name, which says a lot considering how many guests come through the restaurant. We were seated, and soon after we were greeted by Eleanor, our server. She was warm, attentive, and never made us feel pressured, which was a huge improvement from a previous visit. She answered every question I had, including how they cook a medium‑rare steak (every chef has their own interpretation, lol). She also gave an honest answer when I asked whether the vegetables used at dinner come from their greenhouse. The service felt genuine, and the food was excellent -- a much better experience than my last review. This visit was absolutely worth the return. Kudos to Eleanor and the Kitchen at The Mission.
