I had borrowed my cousin's car when the battery died. I requested a tow through State Farm, and EZ Towing's dispatcher called me before sending the driver. I clearly told him that this was my cousin's car and NOT the vehicle on my policy. He knew this from the beginning and assured us it was not a problem. The driver arrived about 45 minutes to an hour later, loaded the car onto his flatbed, and strapped it down. ONLY AFTER THE CAR WAS COMPLETELY LOADED did he tell us that the vehicle wasn't on the policy. We contacted State Farm, and they told us to cancel the tow and request a different service. When we asked the driver to unload the car, he refused and told us we had to pay $300 to take it to our house or they would take it to their tow yard. We agreed to pay the $300 and told them to take the car to our house. Instead, the driver took our car to their tow yard in Van Nuys. We waited at the house for 15-20 minutes, but nobody showed up. We called EZ Towing and couldn't get anyone to answer, so we drove to the yard ourselves. When we got there, we were given the runaround and kept there until approximately 5:00 IN THE MORNING. They eventually released our car, but charged us $1,150 to get it back. We then had to buy a battery from them for $300, even though the battery was worth $150. We ended up paying $1,450. The worst part was dealing with their dispatcher afterward. When we told him that we felt they were taking advantage of us, he was using profanity toward us over the phone instead of addressing the situation professionally. Look at the sequence: we told them BEFORE the truck was sent that the car wasn't on the policy. They sent the driver anyway, loaded and secured the vehicle, then suddenly claimed there was a policy problem. They got the car into their possession, told us to pay $300 or it would go to their yard, agreed to take it to our house, and then took it to the yard anyway. I cannot prove what was going on behind the scenes, but after experiencing this firsthand, I genuinely believe this was not an innocent mistake. It felt like they had this figured out from the moment we told them the car wasn't on the policy. This company needs to be avoided. In my experience, EZ Towing's actions were deceptive, the customer service was completely unacceptable, and the entire situation felt like a scam designed to take advantage of someone who was stranded and had limited options. AVOID EZ TOWING AT ALL COSTS. I would never use this company again.

They arrived on time in a clean and I mean CLEAN Ram flatbed tow truck.
