a plate of breakfast food with toast, eggs, and hash browns

Very friendly staff. Menu has many choices. The ham on the bone order is huge. They have a large low counter with chairs at and a bunch of tables. One whole side of the restaurant is all booths. Plenty of parking and tables for large groups.

One of my favorite breakfast spots. Came here while on a walk for breakfast , and ate outside . Thank goodness they had hash today ! I got scrambled eggs , with cheese of course , shredded potatoes , rye toast , and a side of hash. It was delicious . Sometimes I have to ask if they put cheese in my eggs , but not today ! The only thing I disliked is the margarine or whatever it is they use to put on the toast. Definitely not butter . Use ALLLL the butter , it's better ! All in all , a great breakfast , and I'd go back anytime to eat here .

Standard breakfast here, for $6.95! I'm satisfied.

Sometimes the best thing a local diner can have is consistency, Petro's is one of those diners. While other local Diners tend to overshadow this one, it has regularly become one of my go to places after a work night. While weekend mornings can get crowded, week days usually have enough room to get a comfortable. The employees are always nice and some even remember how I usually like my order, or perhaps I'm just a memorable person, either way they've done their job well enough to warrant a good review. Anyways! If you want the best bang for the buck, get the Ham in the morning, it's almost too much at times, but it's always good to bring home for a sandwich, fried rice, drunken snack etc. pancakes are huge as well, beware of getting more than two unless you feel like competitive eating, but what's America without gluttony.

I was served bad ham in my omelet. This is the second time this has happened there. Will not go back. The rest of the food was average.

Breakfast was terrible. Food was undercooked and the ingredients were not fresh at all. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Awesome place for breakfast. Service is quick and food is always good. They make their own corned beef hash which is really good.

The food here is like eating heven on a cloud. The people that work there are extremely friendly. No matter how annoying

The cheap add-ons shouldn't cost as much as the actual entrée. Nothing here is homemade--everything is clearly purchased in bulk from Costco (Kirkland brand) and Restaurant Depot. If you're expecting authentic, scratch-made kielbasa or pierogies, look elsewhere. To make matters worse, they shortcut the cooking by deep-frying the bacon and home fries before finishing them on the grill, leaving the food completely oversaturated with grease. Heads up for future customers: They are also cash-only

You will need to ask. My major bugaboo is that the menu is pretty unclear. If you order a veggie omelette you might think it comes with at least some veggies in it. Apparently the $9.99 is the base price for just the eggs, and each item is added for $0.99 each. So when we ordered we were asked if we want all the veggies, it was unclear that this meant do you want to add $10 worth of extra items to the omelette. (Cheese is somehow extra too). The food was fine. Not worth $38 for eggs, toast homefries and the aforementioned omelette. So this is a once and done for us. And yes as others have said this is a cash only place.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon with a friend to check out this place. I parked on the street…read moresince their little parking lot was full. The exterior is adorable! It's an unassuming building but they've made it very cute! They have painted the brick around the bottom to look like stone as well as a continuation of the awning painted around the top. The inside is just as interesting. There is a huge wooden map of the world on the wall, a piano, and the lights over some of the tables are made from teapots. There is a large bar in the middle and plenty of seating. This place is larger than it appeared from the outside. The menu offered several types of teas- white, green, herbal, black with several different flavors within each type of tea. I chose a tropical white tea. It came out nice and hot with a packet of honey. My friend ordered a sweet crepe with mixed fruit. She loved it! I decided to try their unique offering of 6 mixed pancakes. It included 4 savory pancakes (beet, zucchini, squash, potato) and two sweet pancakes (Oladi, farm cheese). One of the sweet pancakes was fluffy but dry and flavorless. I think it was the Oladi. All of the other pancakes were excellent and the service was flawless. What a cute place with great food and service! I'll definitely be back!

My friends got the strawberry and banana crepe and a beet and a zucchini pancake. We got the small crepe which was massive. The service was quick and polite. The house hot sauce had a different kick to it. It was vinegar based and it didn't layer the taste of the food but added some spice without the burn to the food. The place was quaint.

I mainly visited since it was nearby, but also because they offered a standout Ruben, keyword 'offered' as in they don't have it anymore. My colleague loves Reubens but he ended up having to order something else furing our visit. This ended up being a good thing because he was super happy with his choice afterward. I looked over the menu and there were other menu items also crossed off, but still plenty of options to choose from. Their burgers are handpressed but only 6 oz. That is a little small for me, especially when I'm hungry. After conversing with the gentleman behind the counter about my options, we both agreed I should go with the spicy fried chicken sandwich. I ordered the spicy fried chicken sandwich which comes with homemade fries and their homemade green tea with ginger and mint. My colleague ordered the pork cutlet sandwich and said it was amazing due to the apple chunks on the sandwich. Both were actually daily specials listed on their board to the right of the menu. My sandwich was quite large and spicy with the fresh jalapenos and a spicy sauce. It reminded me of the large chicken sandwich at Longhorn Steakhouse, but this one was even larger and better. The fries are fresh cut which made this meal perfect. This restaurant is truly nothing special from the outside appearance and both my colleague and I even thought it looked closed when we were driving by. He also said he doubts they have any seating, but we were both wrong. Don't doubt yourself about this restaurant. It is a truly hidden gem with some uniquely prepared foods waiting inside. They had limited beverages. I wanted regular iced tea, but ended up with the homemade green tea with mint and ginger which was pretty good, but no free refills. Service was of course excellent. I interacted with the gentleman a couple more times as I knew I'd need a lot more napkins to tackle this food.

The small seating area is clean but lets you know that this is a great place for takeout. I entered about 15 minutes before closing (2:00 PM) and half expected a terse greeting. Instead, I was patiently given time to look over the menu of both meat-based and vegetarian dishes. I ordered the half grilled cheese sandwich with soup and salad. Everything was fresh and delicious, and a bargain at $15.95. If you're in the area for breakfast or lunch, I highly recommend Eat!
