My grandfather who's a regular here introduced me to this place. He's usually particular about the food and quality of service at restaurants so I knew if he loved it then I would too. He took me and I was very satisfied with the meal. The service was attentive and refilled our coffees when we needed it and the chefs cook the BEST eggs benny in the state. Disappointing experience. I ordered the 3 eggs and toast for $10, but after adding a coffee and a side of potatoes, my bill shot up to nearly $20. The cheap add-ons shouldn't cost as much as the actual entrée. Nothing here is homemade--everything is clearly purchased in bulk from Costco (Kirkland brand) and Restaurant Depot. If you're expecting authentic, scratch-made kielbasa or pierogies, look elsewhere. To make matters worse, they shortcut the cooking by deep-frying the bacon and home fries before finishing them on the grill, leaving the food completely oversaturated with grease. Here's the rundown: this is a cute little hole in the wall with limited dining space. The wait staff is friendly enough but not super attentive. You want your water refilled? You will need to ask. My major bugaboo is that the menu is pretty unclear. If you order a veggie omelette you might think it comes with at least some veggies in it. Apparently the $9.99 is the base price for just the eggs, and each item is added for $0.99 each. So when we ordered we were asked if we want all the veggies, it was unclear that this meant do you want to add $10 worth of extra items to the omelette. (Cheese is somehow extra too). The food was fine. Not worth $38 for eggs, toast homefries and the aforementioned omelette. So this is a once and done for us. And yes as others have said this is a cash only place. read more

A hidden spot in West Springfield just off route 5. Place I imagine gets missed being next to a giant business with semi truck trailers parked in its blind spot as you drive by. Was myself and two co-workers. We were seated quickly and push two tables together to fit everyone in one table. Lady who took our order was nice and gave us good recommendations. I had pancakes, eggs, sausage and polish rye toast. Server said the toast was the best toast they had. I could argue by itself with butter is ok. Make it into an egg sandwich, now we're talking. Now this is what I call a go-to breakfast spot! I never thought I'd find a replacement for my Coughlin's and while nothing ever will, this certainly will fill the void. It's run by a nice Polish family, and they go above and beyond to not only provide great customer service, but also delicious food. They have typical polish dishes, but also really good american style breakfast. Their California benedict is a show stopper, and they're not stingy with the avocado! Had heard about this place, and finally tried it. Kind of a small seating area (I counted eleven tables shoehorned in, and four stools). Tables are so close, I could tell what brand of shampoo the women at the next table used. A busy, crowded place usually means good food, and Sunny Side Up did not disappoint. Coffee came quickly and was very good. I opted for the Polish Benedicto....two poached eggs on English muffin halves with Polish Kielbasa and Hollandaise sauce. Comes with HFs and a small salad (which was surprisingly delicious. And had a balsamic vinaigrette dressing). Everything was super delicious and Victoria, my very capable and affable server, was the best. The kielbasa, I found out, is Bakic brand from New Jersey. Excellent. Found this gem of a place while in the area for an event. We came on a weekday and it was packed. There's parking in a small shared lot. It's a small establishment with several tables on either side of the entrance. Not enough seating to accommodate larger groups more than 4. You have to wait to be seated but we didn't have to wait long before a table freed up. Very friendly and attentive server. Food was delicious and filling. We had enough for leftovers. This small spot on the west side of town may be the best breakfast in the area. With a polish twist, this spot only seats a little over 30 people at full capacity. At times there's a wait but let me tell you, it's well worth the wait. The food is so good, with portions the perfect size.
