Meanwhile a line was building at the register, so the manager slammed her door before coming back out on the phone, and continuing to be unhelpful. Finally Madison shows up and starts helping customers. She checked me out and hands me a receipt, but doesn't even bother to bag my items or hand them to me. Just a receipt and "have a good one" like seriously? I understand it's a crappy job but you can do the bare minimum of ringing up customers and bagging their items. This place has really gone downhill and I'd be better off going to Amazon and getting broken reptile bulbs than this.

We talked for a few minutes...he was knowledgeable, offered some good advice and asked me to to bring in a photo of the new nano tank when it was all grown out. They had a good selection of plants and inverts for planted freshwater aquaria if thats your thing. I will beback. I was impressed by Petcos selection and customer service.

As he had a 70g fresh water & 30g saltwater (5 ) he would spend every penny he had & beg us to take him weekly He recently took his 3yr clown fish in hopes to sell it back - as he has done with a few of his other previously purchased fish from BF. The young person offered him $5 he bought the fish for $8 and it's tripled in size.. hands down bigger than any clown fish in the store (1 ) He told them that was insulting - as would I & asked to speak to the mgr - the kid said, I am & all I'm giving you is $5 (1 ) Needless to say, Nemo was happily donated to our family chiropractor. It isn't about money, it's about principle & doing what's right. Shame on you, kid behind the counter Monday afternoon 3/14/22 at BFA. We'll gladly spend our money elsewhere

I went here for all of my live rats/mice, fish, and rabbit supplies for 8/9 months, loved the place…read moreminus the workers who are rude or uneducated, I live 40 minutes away. Mostly every weekend I would get live mice/rats, however I noticed something weird about a rat I had purchased, thought it was just a spot but come to find out their rats have fleas. It was a MASSIVE flea, which it takes time for a flea to get big. I knew at that moment this is why I have been battling fleas with my three cats for around 8 months because I had never in my life of owning cats have had that issue. Also probably why my ball python who never rejects has been rejecting. Told shop owner about fleas, they said they don't have fleas and all they could do was give me another rat, ( that probably had fleas too ) or my money back for the rat. I was more concerned of the fact Iv spent hundreds of dollars trying to help my poor cats stop itching. Plus my hungry/annoyed ball python. Stop going there all together. I now go straight through a reputable rat/mouse breeder, they are always healthy, plump, and are treated for fleas. Soon after I switched I was able to get rid of the fleas, my ball python is eating again, and I get rats/mice for a quarter of the price. Win win after all of the stress I guess.

We did it on our own. Inside the building, there are about 20 small enclosures for things like a bearded dragon or a snake. Then you go out the back of the building and follow the route. There are outside enclosures for tortoises, several different types of alligators, and a couple of observation deck. There's a building that has caimans in it. Takes about an hour to see the whole thing if you pace it. Some people go faster. There's the opportunity to buy food and feed selected crocodiles. They seem to like raw hot dogs! Helpful staff.

We opened the cage doors when we got home. They have loved each other from that moment on. We have never had bonded cats before but we sure know what that word means now. They bring us such happiness watching them. We really lucked out. Our last adopted cat from ICS lived until 21 1/2! Love ICS!

Try to push you to a specialist if it's anything more than standard vaccinations. They wait until right before they close to call you back so you can't follow up with them or ask any other questions until the next business day.

The manager pointed out the most expensive freshwater small (for now) fish, an electric blue jack Dempsy ($35) and said it was a great starter fish, that it's fine in a 20-gallon tall tank, and would be great partners with a school of glo-tetras. Well as expected they killed him not a day later. Turns out this fish is aggressive and gets up to 8 inches which needs a MUCH bigger tank. Returning fish is sketchy at best here. You need to bring in water and the dead fish, which I understand. They then take it back behind the tanks to run the tests, so who knows what is being said in regards to how your water is testing. I wouldn't trust if the blonde guy would do it because he's said such untrue info on fish to me before. If you try to contest or argue that you want to see it they say they cant bring it out. This has happened several times, to the point where I'm done. Which is a shame. They have a decent collection of fish there, and the GM Doug is super nice. Sadly I'm pretty sure he is one of two nice people there. The rest just don't seem to care.

Don't go here to buy worm or any other type of reptile food. I went in today and bought a 50 count…read moreof wax worms. It cost me over $8 after tax and I get home to see there is only 26 worms in the container. Not only is there 26 when I payed for 50 but three are dead. So out of a 50 count I got 23 worms my lizards will be able to eat. Very upset to see this.
