Took fudge for his picture with Santa. The employee taking care of everyone was super sweet and kind - Santa ehhh. This store is huge but not as well stocked as the Pet Smart at 100 Oaks. Maybe I went on a day that they were waiting on a restock.

Had to clean our dogs ears on our own after taking him to be groomed & paid for a service that included ear cleaning.

*This is specific to the grooming service* We had an appointment with Jake at the Brentwood location. It was our pups first grooming appointment, he was a little nervous and Jake did NOT give him any time to warm up before picking him right up and putting their leash on him. He was busy which is understandable!! However, did not seem to know what service we were there for or what our pups needs were. With all that being said, our pup came out with his nails clipped & filed, got a spritz of cologne & felt very soft! Service comes with a bandana and we were asked if we wanted one, only after returning home did we realize his ears were not cleaned as specified in the service description, so we unfortunately have no way of knowing if any of the services outside of bathing & nail trim were done. (I.e. teeth cleaning, anal glad expression)

We've taken our Coton de Tulear 'Huxley' here for grooming several times with satisfactory results, but today was the best. This was his first grooming with Michaela C and she did a wonderful job! (and Coton's are not easy to groom). His cut is perfectly even, nails trimmed nicely, and he smelled great! Also with the Express service he was ready in less than 2 hrs. Highly recommended!

So I went into this pet smart today around 12:30ish and I was going to buy the cage for my animal, well when I walked to the isle it showed only one on the shelf and that it was $42.49 and so I got excited thinking yay it's on sale and then noticed the box was kinda damaged and taped up so I figured that's why it was on sale, and so I carried it to the front register and grabbed a couple other items and went to check out. Well lone behold it rings up as $118.99 and I am like wait! That's not the price of the tag over on the isle and I took him to show him and so he investigated it and he told me I can't give it to you for the $42.49 but probably $62 because there was another tag underneath it... well I asked to speak to the manager as it doesn't hurt to ask about the price difference and so she comes to the front her name: ( Diane) and I take her to the isle to show her where it was and the price and she starts having an attitude with me and telling me that you can clearly see it's not the same item if you read it, and we were standing up looking at the shelf on the lowest level they have and you can't read it at all and that's what I told her... so she said okay let's go to the front and see what it's ringing up for and I will give you a discount and I agreed to see and we went to the front and it comes up as $118.99 and she said I can give it to you for $100, but not the $42.49 and I said so your not going to honor the price? And she said no, I will not honor it because it wasn't the same item on the tag, etc and she was rude and I told her she needed to honor it as that's the right thing to do, and she wouldn't do it, so I told her that I am going to contact her store manager and make a complaint and that I would not shop here again nor will I tell others to come and I am making reviews, to let people know how rude they are here and what an attitude she had with me. So if y'all need anything for your pets, go to Petco as they are a better company and will honor their prices even when it's been a mistake. I just moved here from California and I am shocked to see no southern hospitality or kindness from this person who is supposed to make things right and supposed to be friendly and kind, not rude with an attitude and unwilling to make things right! I will be contacting Denny the actual store manager tomorrow regarding this situation.

I had to come to Brentwood to find a kitten to adopted as I have been hoping the store in Spring Hill would have some.

He's a unique dog, and for a while we weren't sure we would ever find someone who could effectively and safely handle him, but Grace was able to not only speak his language - but also safely integrate him into walks with other dogs and help muzzle train him. She quickly became his favorite person and was one of the only people he trusted. Grace went beyond the walks and basic training and would sometimes ask if she could take him overnight to get him used to being around different dogs (hers) and people. He always loves these sleepover and has learned to better read other dogs and communicate as a result. Our boy has come a long way, and we owe so much of that to Grace and Lucky Dog!

This turned out to be the perfect place for our dog. Jeff and Grace keep great control over the animals, and keep the numbers way down. Our dog was unsure of herself for the first day or so, but quickly joined the pack because I believe she felt very safe at this place. Great big fenced areas to play in, and best of all communal sleeping on furniture! She felt right at home. Highly recommend this place. You can see her airborne flying with the pack in the second photo!

When I bring my cat there it's usually for matts that got out of control. The first time I booked my appointment on Facebook a few years back, and when I brought her in, they had no idea why I was there and who my cat was. Turns out I made the appointment with a Dee-O-Gee in OHIO!! But the groomer there on that day reached into pet my cat and said "oh! we cannot let her go home like this! We will fit her in!" Of course, I've been going back ever since. The same cat has cancer now and her grooming ability is fading because it's a bulging carcinoma on her face and nose. She's uncomfortable with her coat having several matts and hairballs from badly shedding, and hates being brushed, so I messaged for an urgent grooming, to keep her comfortable for the days or weeks she has left. Not only did Shawn answer me immediately on Facebook messenger, but took her in a few hours later and did a beautiful job! We discussed her condition, managing her stress, keeping it quick, plan B if she couldn't handle the shaver... it would be easy for a groomer to decline such a "patient" but that's not what happened at all. I waited for a bit and my kitty was returned unstressed and Matt-free, wanting to shop the store instead of go back in her crate I'm so grateful, this made her life more comfortable today and relieved my stress over trying to groom her myself!! Note, There were also a couple other times where I needed to work with the groomer on certain requests and custom needs for my cat. They've had different groomers and the cut may differ a little bit, but they always pay attention to what I asked them to focus on whether it's Matt removal, trimming her butt real short etc. I definitely recommend for cat grooming! I'm SO happy I found them (reco from someone at the Williamson animal shelter)!!

I've ran into the same issue multiple times with Dee-O-Gee. I recently dropped off my female Bernese Mountain dog for a full grooming at 9:30AM. At 2:15pm, I called to check on the status of my dog, and the person working told me she was almost done drying and was next to be groomed....fine...I'm not going to be that guy. I call back 5:05pm since I haven't heard anything..... MY DOG IS STILL WET AND DRYING and has not been groomed!!! ....again they give me the excuse she takes a long time to dry....almost 8 hours of drying!!! Why did they schedule my appointment at 9:30am if they couldn't groom my dog timely? Who knows if they've given my dog water or a potty break. So many questions, but again read the reviews...this place sucks!

Trey has been my dog groomer for over three years now, and he is truly just the best around: incredible groomer, magician with nervy dogs, and just all around kind human. When he moved to Camp Bow Wow earlier this year, it was a no brainer to follow him. He's one of the most reasonably priced groomers in the area and does an incredible job with all sorts of dogs. My dog genuinely loathes bathes and is overall a nervous dog around other dogs. Trey puts him at ease and he comes wagging his tail every time he seems him, even though he knows he's getting a bath. His nails are always filed down and maintained well and he smells so delightful after a groom with adorable fluffy fur! The facility is super clean and I appreciate the dogs are separated for grooming and have their own crates while being groomed. When my dog got skunked when I was out of town last year, for no extra charge, Trey worked his magic and in a couple of visits the smell was almost gone. True miracle worker and I'm so grateful we found him, as it takes a huge headache out of my life and helps me to know I'm always leaving my baby for a few hours with someone I trust. There's a dedicated parking lot for customers and I appreciate that staff is on top of making sure any dog who comes here is up to date on shots/vaccinations. Even though I don't use the day camp services the staff at the front desk are incredibly kind and welcoming to me and my pup and give him little treats and hugs every time we come in. It's a wonderful and welcoming experience and I can't recommend getting your fur child groomed here with Trey enough!

I was completely lost before meeting Ali and team at Nashville K9. I had seen every Nashville dog…read moretrainer with no success and was confused with the differing opinions of how to handle my dog Iswell. Iswell is a rescue who is a mix of Pit, Boxer, Red Heeler. Iswell has been loved since the day I got him at 2 months old. I did everything everyone was telling me to do. Fed him grain free, socialize him as much as possible, get him around kids, sign him up for obedience classes (2 graduations of success) etc. So I did all of those things to set my pups up for success in the big world. At around a year, Iswell started changing. He would start getting into quarrels at the dog park, lunge at walkers who walked by us and bark continuously at friends who would come over to our house. I was frustrated. Here I had done everything I was "suppose" to do with absolutely no luck. I started signing up for every dog trainer in Nashville. I never left knowing how to handle my dog but left with their opinion of what was wrong with him. Nashville K9 was my last hope. I called and Ali answered. He's a straight shooter and told me exactly what I was doing wrong as the owner. "I don't even to ask because I know your dog sleeps with you and he isn't crated". Wow! How did he know? Ha! I was creating anxiety for my dog without even knowing it. What an awful mother, right? I had to meet this guy and see what Nashville K9 was all about. I packed up Iswell in the car and drove to see the place. It is gated and is maintained to perfection. Even has an outdoor pool! Ali was a great host and showed Iswell and me around the place. Iswell was on edge and wasn't the friendliest to Ali but I knew this is the sort of training he needed. Someone who could break his bad behaviors away from home, give him confidence and then show me how to transition it into our home. I signed him up immediately and Ali was able to get him in sooner than what I wanted. Iswell attended the 4 week board/train program. During his stay, I received 2 weekly emails with a vast number of photos showing off what Iswell had been learning. I would wait on those days so excited to see what Iswell was learning. Damon, trainer at Nashville K9, would send the emails and give you a sentence or two of his progression. I knew Iswell was in good hands. Agility, obedience, socialization were all included in these photos ( I will attach a few for reference). Fast forward to 4 weeks later when I picked up my pups. This sounds crazy to say but I barely recognized him at first. He had gained this whole new confidence I hadn't seen before. He seemed so happy but eager to show off everything he learned. The sweetest woman (I can't remember her name but had trained Iswell) met with me for 3 hours to explain Iswell's new plan. It was extremely detailed. Trainings, one on one time, crate time, potty time and eating schedule. They reminded me of how vital it was to keep to this schedule to help Iswell transition into the home with his new gained knowledge and confidence. I would recommend anyone to take their dog to Nashville K9. The trainers truly care about each dog and ensure they are set up with all the commands/tools they need to build confidence. Iswell is more calm and thinks before he makes a move. He looks at me for guidance. So grateful and will definitely send him for brush up sessions in the future.
