Your staff have disclosed a lot over the few years at pick up. I've been bringing my German Shepherd to Canine Connections for over 8 years, and I always trusted them to provide a safe, caring environment. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has completely shaken that trust. When I picked up my dog, I noticed visible bite marks--injuries that clearly occurred while in their care. What's worse, no one called me, there was no incident report, and nothing was mentioned at pickup. I had to take my dog to the vet for treatment out of my own concern. After nearly a decade of loyalty, I expected far better from Steve and the team at Canine Connections. Mistakes can happen, but failing to communicate when an animal is injured is unacceptable. This isn't just a customer service issue--it's about safety, responsibility, and basic decency toward the animals they're trusted to care for. It's heartbreaking to say this after so many years, but I strongly encourage other pet owners to rethink bringing their dog to Canine Connections. If something happens to your pet, you deserve to know about it immediately--not find out after the fact, with no explanation. A few pics but there was more Injuries- bites on arm and all around his neck. It was Clearly a dog fight that Steve is claiming "nothing happened". Mind you my dog came home crying and shaking in pain. Vet gave antibiotics for 10 days plus pain meds washed out all wounds and closely monitor has we needed staples but declined due to the need to put him to sleep. read more

I rescued my dog Gracie two years ago and have been bringing her to Canine Connections for almost two years. They are our second family, Gracie has a strong personality she is sweet but sometimes she thinks she is in charge lol. They have gotten to know her ways and know exactly how to handle her. I would of never thought that i would bring a dog to doggie day care but here I am and it has saved me and Gracie when i have to work in the office and not remotely. and sometimes i feel my dog would rather have Canine Connections as her first home and me as second. lol. Took my dogs for the first time for grooming. Have to say I'm very pleased. They took good care of my fur babies and have scheduled another one. Staff is extremely friendly and professional. You can feel the love and enjoyment they get from all the staff. We also tested the daycare and I think it will work. Steve, the owner, actually sent me a video so I could see how my puppy was doing with being with all the other dogs. This establishment you don't hear to much about but definitely worth checking them out. Their prices are very reasonable which with today's costs, it is a breath of fresh air. We left our Shiba there multiple times in the past from 3 night to 10 nights. The experiences were great. First of all, the dogs are never caged or confined except for their sleeping time. For a dog like mine that never really socialized much with other dogs, this is a golden opportunity to do it once a while. My wife and I definitely recommend this wonderful place for the paws. read more

I found this place completely by accident and pulled in to check it out. I thought perhaps the business had not yet opened. The lobby area so clean you could eat off the floors. There were absolutely no odors and nothing to suggest there were animals staying here. I got the tour and in fact they had several dogs happily playing in the back. This room, the halls, even the play area: very clean and odor-free. I have had to board my pets previously and no location can compare to this. The couple who runs Canine Connections (THIS IS NOT A CHAIN and they are not at all associated with Canine Connection (singular)!) - they are warm and friendly-- they love dogs and my dog took to them immediately (even the husband--normally my dog is terrified and reactive with with unknown males!) A few years back, I boarded my dog at a well-known doggie daycare in Elmhurst. It was crowded, stinky, and when I picked up my pup he was filthy and aggressive. This time I needed to spend some time in the hospital and felt completely at peace knowing my dog was being so well-cared for and loved at this facility. Your dog will be loved, played with, and safe here. To top it off, their prices are very reasonable. Everyone's dog is their "baby" and leaving them with a stranger can be so stressful ... but when a situation comes up that makes it necessary to leave your pet for an overnight, THIS IS THE PLACE! We had to leave our little Charlie Brown for NINE NIGHTS for our wedding and honeymoon, and we couldn't be happier with the experience! First, this place is immaculate ... no doggy smells when you walk in the door and chances are, a couple little fur-babies will greet you when you walk in. Their play areas are huge, and there's a lot of running, playing, and personal interaction going on. Kim and Ed truly love taking care of your best friends, and be assured they will be treated very well. My favorite benefit of leaving Charlie here was the daily pictures and videos they post daily ... we could check in to see just how much fun Charlie was having with all his new buddies. When we picked him up, he was happy, tired, and looked great. This is the greatest place my dog has been at. We boarded him over the Thanksgiving holiday. He was very well cared for & even had a picture taken on Thanksgiving. I absolutely recommend this place for boarding. I could tell when we picked him up he was happy to see us, but had a great time here. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!! read more
