I went to her with my dog who needs training and left with my dog who still needs training and my trauma from her disgusting disturb-ness. This is a warning to all of the public. Update February 4, 2026: I am uploading the original graphic photo Lisa sent and her recent message to my mother. While Lisa claims the review is "defaming," she admits in her text that she "should never have attached that photo". My mother and I were BOTH disturbed by the photo which we talked to Erin about and she said that she would talk to Lisa about the situation. To clarify her other points: I am the owner of the dog and was the primary student. Because I was 17 when classes began, the paperwork was under my mother's name, but I turned 18 during our training. Lisa was well aware of the fact that I am the dog's owner and I was the one who signed up for the class. My presence in the group chat was necessary as the dog's owner. Furthermore, her "accommodation" of my volleyball schedule was a basic professional courtesy for a paid service, not an excuse for the trauma caused by her lack of boundaries. My dog is highly trainable and made more progress with a different trainer in one hour than with Lisa in weeks. This warning remains for the public: professional training should not come with graphic, unsolicited images. I will update this again soon. We are still awaiting a response from management that was sent on December 20, 2025. After we got the initial text from Lisa on December 20, 2025, we did NOT respond, but only communicated with the manager-on-duty, Erin. BOTH my mother AND I blocked her immediately. My mother came across Lisa's blocked message today, February 6, 2026 that was dated January 27, 2026. We both feel harassed with her messaging us after this incident. read more

Customer service is grossly lacking. I stood in the store, in the isle as one of only a few customers in plain site and was ignored by two associates. When I finally got an associate's attention as he stood by and seemly waited for a task, he told me to wait on the other associate to assist instead. No real explanation. Poor communication. Lisa Bell at Pet Smart in Frisco on Dallas Parkway is an amazing dog trainer. We trained two of our dogs with her from Puppy/ Novice through Advanced including Canine Good Citizen. We have had lots of dogs and gone through many different training programs with them so they get started on the right paw. Lisa taught us and our dogs. She was there to help and answer questions. Horrible customer service. Came for one thing that I knew they had in stock, about 7 minutes before closing. I asked, whom I presume was the manager, where the product would be and he said "if I had any, it would be next to the reptiles." Mmmok. Not knowing where the reptiles are, I ran around the store looking... my complaint would be not only did he not try and show me or at least point me in the right direction, I actually heard him talking sh*t, as I walked away. This is the best of the pet stores around. Their fish selection is not as good as petco but aside from that, the store is clean and the staff are the best. One lady that works the cash register is super nice and one of the reasons I always pick this store. read more

Counterfeit run never look back. Sold me a puppy for $5000.00 plus tax because he was supposedly 6 weeks instead of 8 weeks. After getting home and looking at the paperwork more in depth come to find out the puppy was a little over 8 weeks when I financed him like I did my cars and house which is just sad. A living breathing animal was purchased like furniture; just to find out, I was lied too. I spent $1500.00 more thinking he was 6 weeks old but in reality he was older. Took my dog to the grooming salon and (1) they weren't able to clip his nails (only reason we brought him in), then (2) the nail they attempted to clip was cut too short and made my dog bleed so we had to take him straight to the vet then (3) when I called for a refund the man who answered the phone told me I'd have to call corporate but told me to look online for the phone number because he didn't have it. He also told the guy in front of me in line (he was asking if 2 hours was long enough to get his dog bathed...he had an appointment) that at Petsmart they always work the walk-in customers' pets before the pre-made appointments so the customer will need to reschedule if he has a meeting in 2 hours. My review is regarding my store experience. 1. The people who work here are really nice! I felt so comfortable doing my order pickup and looking at the animals with my little one. We felt so welcomed :) 2. What I love about Petsmart is that whenever I go it's never over crowded. I always feel there's enough space to move around freely- and that means everything to me with COVID. They have masks and hand sanitizer at the front too. Overall, I would definitely recommend shopping here for pet supplies. *PS: Join their free Treats reward program. It adds up to credit you can use on anything in store. read more

Everyone outside of the grooming department were very kind and helpful. I appreciate that very much. I had an appointment booked for a grooming in advance and my dogs vaccinations done, paperwork in hand. When I go in the woman there is treating a dog terribly right there on the grooming table in front of the other groomers and myself. I looked at them and waited for them to look up at me but they never did. Finally the same angry woman turns me down for grooming for some bogus nonexistent reason. Plain awful. Never treat anyone like that let alone a helpless dog crying in your arms. The other employees seemed to be cool with it. I will never understand how people think it's alright for them to do that. read more

I have brought my schnauzer in 3 different times for them to tell me each time they will need to shave her because she is "too matted" I always brush her out before bringing so there are a few mats but nothing worth shaving over. This morning was no different. I asked why they always say that and that the other pet smart locations don't and they didn't have an answer, just a smug attitude. The reason is their groomers don't want to put in the effort so they're turning away business! I took my dog down the street to the other Frisco location and no problems! Great location. The parking lot is not busy which makes bringing your dogs in for grooming appointments painless. I've been pleased with grooming services from this location. I feel like the dogs come out shedding quite a bit afterwards so maybe a quick brushing afterwards to get any loose hair off would be nice. Overall happy here. read more

My dog is a west highland white terror that is 13 yrs old. All I ask of the groomer is to just shave all over and make it as stress free as possible. Dropped her off at 11:30 was told she would be ready at 1:00. At 2:00 I called and was told 3:30. I knew this would be too stressful so I went to pick her up. All they had done was bath her. She set in a cage for 3 hours before they even started. My main request was to make this as stress free as possible. read more

I am so happy to have a convenient alternative to Petco in the area. I have visited this PetSmart just a few times to pick up items for my kids lizards and the staff have always been very helpful and most importantly it is easy to find someone to assist you here! The store seems well stocked and almost overfull of merchandise - like the dog cages down the center of the store, which are very much in the way if anyone is looking at them. Trying to walk from the front of the store to the back can be a bit crowded. The store being overstocked is a small price to pay for to finally have a pet store with attentive staff to help you get in and out and on about your day. Very Disappointed in Pet Smart Customer Service. Long haired gentleman by the Name of Chris which is who I Spoke with on the Phone and he doesn't communicate that you have to have Up to date Vaccinations which I do have at home but did not communicate that I needed to bring that with me to get my Dogs hair brushed out. Then Chris has zero understanding of his lack of communication could've saved some frustration and they could've made some money. Absolutely will Not recommend them. Petco Here we Come. We've used this Petsmart for the past year since we moved to the area. Outside of our visit, each time has been disappointing and frustrating. From getting a call an hr before our appointment saying they had to cancel & did not offer a resolution for the short notice, to calling to book an appointment and they booked the wrong day, to uneven cuts. Today we went again for my cocker spaniels haircut, they charged an additional fee for brushing. When I asked why, the girl rudely said "because he's large!". Keep in mind my dog is only 30lbs. I tried to argue that he was not a large dog and that seems ridiculous. I've had him almost 12 years and have never been charged for additional brushing time needed until this place. She just shrugged her shoulders & told me "he is kind of big for his breed". He also has a large patch of hair on the top of his head that is obviously not cut the same length as the rest of his hair. The groomers name was Kaitlyn. I would avoid her at any costs. They have officially lost us as a client. I've tried to give this Petsmart a chance time & time again and have continually been let down. They are conveniently located to our house and I've used Petsmart multiple times before we moved to this part of time but this one is the worst. read more

I originally gave this grooming salon a 5 star rating. They were so great with my senior dog for over a year and always raved at how good and sweet she was. When I picked her up the last time, she was very anxious and the staff was very annoyed. They told me that I needed to find another place to take her because they simply did not have time to console her during the groom. What?! I was so upset because they had never said anything negative in the past nor has any other groomer in her 15 years. Took my dog, JoJo, here on a Sunday for him to be bathed and to get a haircut. Although the haircut was done, I'm not absolutely sure if they bathed him. There was alot of loose hair on him, something that I have never seen before. I think that I'll stay away from this location as far as grooming goes. read more

I always check out the kittens when picking up food for my cat. The kittens litter boxes were all dirty. Some of the kittens messed outside their boxes. There was someone taking pictures of the kittens. What she should have been doing is cleaning their litter. I felt so bad for the little guys. If the store is doing adoptions, then they need to make sure the pets are in a clean and safe environment. I told someone who worked there they need to clean up. Otherwise the kittens will not learn to use their boxes. read more

My Golden Retriever looked like a choppy shaved lab after Willy was done with her. I asked for a trim and had notes in my file from past grooms with another groomer at another location that I liked the longer, Golden Retriever look. I also showed pictures of the last groom. They said they used a guard comb (an attachment on a shaver that leaves the hair a little longer than completely shaved) instead of scissors because it's faster for them. Willy was also very late for our appointment. Willy was available the next day whereas my old groomer (at another location) had a two week wait. I took a chance. Lesson learned. read more

I wish I could put "0" stars cause they deserve none. Like a previous reviewer, they shaved my dog when it wasn't necessary. I combed the poor thing the night before to make sure there were no mats and they still shaved her. I even gave written instructions which stated if you think she's matted please return her to me "DO NOT SHAVE", yes I wrote it in caps. I told them I wanted a teddy bear round face, please do not leave pointy face. Yep, you guessed it, she's pointy faced. When I went up there to complain, they told me she isn't shaved, I informed them if you took anymore, she would be bald. You can literally see the pink of her skin beneath her fur. They said her face is not pointed, its teddy bear and everybody has a different idea of what teddy bear is. I wish I could post a picture, she's a poodle and now has a face pointy like a rat. They shaved her because they don't want to be bothered and to add insult to injury, they charged me $78 for this mess. Luckly after much yelling, I got my money back. They told me in the future I need to take her up there and verbally tell them what to do, because the paper my husband dropped of with instructions was unacceptable. They said they were notating in their system that she was not to be taken unless I dropped her off. So in other words no one else can take her up there. Such BS. If you go in there to adopt a cat do not go in there unless you are ready to deal with old grumpy lady which they are never even there. You can't go there and adopt whenever. They have to do SCREENINGS and applications before anything. I mean I understand applications but screening..... Lol They are so racist and picky and puts you down how you do not deserve a cat and that they don't let ANYONE adopt their cats. ....... Really???? Obviously she didnt like me and I think anybody can be their first time cat owners and have children at the same time. Who do they think they are to put a customer down to adopt the cat?? I feel so sorry for the Cat for being held in the little cage with less care. Because these people does not seem to think that and wants to keep them there as long as how they feel that day. She was even blocking me from going in the little visit room where everyone is allowed to meet the pets. So. If you want to adopt a cat and walk away with happy face do not go there. If you love your pets, save your time and money by staying away from this PetSmart!!! Other local PetSmart staff told me that this location had a bad reputation but I didn't believe them. They hired inexperienced kids to manage and work at this store. They are not knowledgeable about their products and lack customer service skills. Lesson learned. Great location but incompetent staff.
