She's a big girl with a lot of fur, but the groomers handle her with so much care, kindness, and patience. After driving 36 mins to get there for an 8AM appointment for my pup, I was told that the groomer had called out. So I enquired if there was going to be another groomer there and he said yes at 930. I asked if they would be able to take my pup and was told I would have to wait till 930 to find out. I asked if he could call the groomer and he said no.......what deplorable customer service. I placed a large order online for delivery. The order included frozen fish food. They did not bring my fish food. I had placed another small order for an item I forgot so I called and told the Petsmart on Bridford Pkwy what happened and was assured my food would be delivered with the new order. I was not present when they delivered and assumed my spouse had put the fish food in the freezer. I went to feed my fish today and there was no food for them I called the store and they said yes, it is still in the freezer. I asked how they were going to get it to me and they said I had to contact DoorDash. I did not contract with Door Dash , they did. The employee knew there was an issue and did not ensure the driver looked in the freezer. I asked for a refund and was told I have to drive to the store! With these gas prices? I also paid 2 delivery charges plus tip for my item. Very poor customer service. read more

What a horrible place; the cashier nor the 2 Managers know how the rewards program works. I bought a product which should have given me 5k points, but I didn't realize using my current rewards would take the total to less than the qualifying amount. The first manager states it will take 48 hrs to post to my account- she didn't even look at the receipt to know what was going on. So I returned the product and repurchased without using my reward points; now my previous points were not credited- a different manager states it will take 48 hrs to post- not true as I automatically received the earned points. But no worries- I called the customer care number and was given all my points correctly; she stated points are issued upon purchase with no delays. The cashier had was horrible with extreme attitude and it showed. It's a shame management doesn't know their job and are passing bad information- definitely will not go back to this location!! read more

The grooming department is unprofessional and rude. We arrived a few minutes before a noon appointment but were told to leave and come back in 20 minutes because they were not ready. Meanwhile two employees were sitting around doing little to nothing while talking to the one person who was grooming a dog. We left and will never go back. read more

Attended a 6-week puppy training course here and Mikey was great to work with. She was enthusiastic and my dog really took to her as a trainer. I have a nervous dog and had a sigh of relief at the level of patience the instructor had and tips that were helpful as a new pet owner. I would return for more extensive training courses with her specifically. I would recommend the service to any pet owners who were even inquiring about these courses. read more

I love this Greensboro location and have always received terrific customer service until yesterday. I visited this Lawndale location yesterday about noon. The male associate feeding the fish was amazing. He was eager to assist me, answer questions and provide assistance at the register. Then he had to call his manager. She provided no greeting, acted like I was bothering her and appeared to dismiss my concerns. I was surprised how lacking her customer service was. I hope her attitude does not rub off on the associates she works with. We all have bad days, maybe she was having one. If this is the case I look forward to a better experience with my next visit. read more

I bring my dog here for his puppy plan and absolutely LOVE banfield and all the employees... so i decided to take him to the petsmart grooming area for a simple nail clipping, when i arrive to pick him up they decide to tell me they couldn't trim his nails fully because he was "nibbling at them" HES A PUPPY! first off put a freaking muzzle on him if its that serious, and second he's literally a puppy... his teeth do NOT hurt and i can tell you he is the absolute sweetest boy so he wasn't doing it in a harmful way, he just thought they were playing with him. Also the girl decides to tell me that AFTER i paid $25 dollars for absolutely nothing. Then last but CERTAINLY not least, i get him home and out of the car and notice a huge amount of blood all over my car seat. so your telling me yall are that lazy and inconsiderate enough to "not cut his nails" but then make him bleed and in pain. absolute WORST place to bring your animal because you can tell they are absolutely just there for a paycheck. is it ridiculous and disgusting the way they act in there and the way they treat your babies, 0/10 do NOT recommend. read more

Grooming section check in is extremely small so I had to wait until a couple of people got their dogs. Not a big deal and if that is all I would ignore it. I booked an appointment a week or so to have my golden groomed. Even though I checked in on line it took considerable time for them to take him . I waited around a little while and he was fine. Before I got out of the parking lot they called and asked if he had ever been in I kennel. I assured them of course he had. They said they would try to put him again. I turn around and went back in . He was still at the check in counter. I said just give him back. He is a regular golden is extremely easy going and is crate trained. When I was able to interrupt their phone conversation they said he is just a big baby.. if you can't handle a golden you should not be business handling dogs. read more

Went today to this PetSmart location for the first time for grooming, Made an appointment for Bath & Full Haircut, and Nail Trimming. Just got my pet dog back and when I got home, noticed his rear left leg got nicked. Called and they said we could bring him in and see if he needs medical attention. Now it's not a serious injury, so we decided not to bring him in, but they said they weren't aware of it, my dog is a small 6-7 pound, white dog, how can you not notice the red scrape on him. When he got nicked, he would've yelped (no pun intended) or flinched. Hope the groomers will be more aware in the future read more

We had an awesome experience at this Petsmart! It was very well stocked with everything we needed and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I wish I know the lady's name but she recommend us an awesome kong harness. The staff at checkout were also very helpful especially since we brought our rescue puppy who were still getting to know into the store. Currently purchased a dog collar that was a no bark collar and I decided not to use it and it's still in the box and also I returned to store but because I either lost the receipt or the cashier didnt give me one ,the store leader there is telling me I am SOL because he refused to take the collar back or even give store credit, you would think that if in box not open or used that they would give me store credit right ? but naw, Jason Kruger , the store lead ,refused to do so. I will never go back to the store on Lawndale- Greensboro, NC. Put in a complaint to headquarters and y'all I got a reply back from the assistant store lead- why would I get emailed from someone under the store lead now that makes no sense either. My husband and I have 2 dogs who needed basic training. Both were signed up for classes with the same pro trainer at Lawndale Ave. The younger dog, 1 years old, had been abused before we got him and was extremely anxious. So we paid extra for private lessons. He attended private sessions with me and the trainer in a room. 3 sessions passed, and the trainer was not even able to give my dog a treat. She just sat on the floor waiting for him to come to her, which never happened. She couldn't get him to go with her into the store. However, as soon as she left, I put his leash on and walked him around all of the aisles with no issues, and passed her calmly. I cancelled the remaining lessons and took matters into my own hands. Within a week, our dog was able to go to stores and on walks without fear. Our groomer spent hours with him yesterday and couldn't believe the remarkable transformation. He went from being so anxious that he'd shake on the grooming table the entire time, to giving her kisses. Needless to say, we were highly dissappointed in the quality of training and effort given to our very sweet, intelligent dog. The trainer has one more session with our two year old dog. He's made moderate progress in the group class, despite being very sociable and intelligent. Both dogs are poodles, in the top three ranked breeds in terms of intelligence. We plan to continue our training on our own despite this $414. negative experience. While we appreciate that Petsmart's policy is that classes can be repeated over and over again for free, it seems highly unnecessary if the training was effective in the first place. I've expressed my concerns to the manager, Jason, who refunded the cost of the remaining private sessions. I'm purposely not mentioning the trainer by name, as I have no desire to impact her career and do not want to cause her any issues. read more

I see why they don't have very good reviews now. I've never had an issue until recently. I took my dog to the groomer on July 2nd for a simple (yet overpriced) bath, brush, and nail grinding, with no issues. July 3rd I found that my dog had cuts in between his toes that he did not have before, as indicated in the pre-groom check. I took photos and called to speak to the grooming manager Misty. She said to take my dog to Banfield and they could bill the salon for the service, meds, etc. Well very quickly afterwards, life happened and unfortunately there were a lot of family emergencies and things on my end so I was unable to get my dog seen quickly. I called on Aug 2nd to make the appointment with the vet and Dixie (who is very helpful and probably the best worker there) communicated that with the grooming salon. Misty then (rudely) stated that they would not cover expenses as it has been over 30 days. Please note that in addition to not being told the 30 day policy (Dixie didn't know about it either), exactly 31 days had past. I called today (Aug 6) to speak to the store manager Jason, who was no help at all. He essentially told me there is no way to prove that the injuries happened at the salon (even though I have photos and they cuts weren't there before or noted by the groomer) and that I should have brought my dog in sooner as the cuts should have naturally healed by now. He even went so far as to compare his dog's paw behavior with mine, as since they are the same breed, my dog could have been messing with his feet like his dog does, and the cuts were from that not the grooming salon. While I do understand that I should have taken my dog in sooner but again, life happened and I was unaware of the 30 day policy. If I had known, I would have taken him in sooner. I asked that Jason communicate this with staff so they are making customers aware of the policy. Very sarcastically he said he would and had the nerve to say "if there's anything I can do, please let me know". To which I responded "well yes there is a lot you could do". At the end nothing got resolved. I will not be taking my dog to the grooming salon again and I am considering finding another Banfield. We used to go to the Adam's Farm location but they went downhill about 2 years ago now. And it seems like Lawndale is not too far behind. However, praises for Ms. Dixie! She's amazing and remembers my dog and asks about him often. Promote her and/or give her a raise! Misty and Jason need some serious customer service training. read more

If you love your pet, do not use this PetSmart. We took our dog to get him groomed, and after we took him back home, we realized he was bleeding from one of his paws. We called PetSmart right away to ask them about this injury. It was relatively minor, but we were confused as to why we weren't made aware of the cut. The person who picked up told us that there wasn't any blood on the table. Ok? If there was blood on the table, and you didn't notice the cut, then you're completely inept. If the person had apologized and mentioned that she didn't realize the cut had been made, I would've been fine with it. But the fact that she never apologized and kept inferring that we had caused the injury after we picked up our dog (which is impossible because we had forgotten our leash today, so we physically carried him from the store to our car and held him the entire ride back), made me realize this worker's some cheeks. If you love your dog, just pay a little more $ to take them to a place that actually cares about animals. Edit: The manager called to apologize. Nice to see that this type of behavior is not the norm in this establishment. If anyone decides to use this place, make sure to ask for Shawn as we have had great experiences with him. We schedule a grooming appointment with the PetSmart on Lawndale in Greensboro. When we arrived the groomer was " too busy" To help us or the gentleman behind me, the receptionist was on the phone. Our appointment was booked in as bath only even tho I called into the salon to book the appointment and said that she needed a trim. The groomer said he already had to do an extra dog because " Someone messed up" and I might be able to fit your dog in but she will have to be here more than 5 hours. Or we could reschedule~ no, we drive in from Burlington, he was rude and would probably take his frustration out on our dog. We won't be back. read more

I have taken my dog here a few times, I've never really had a great experience with any of the workers- but not terrible either. They're not very friendly or welcoming but not necessarily mean. However I have a sleddog so he sheds a lot, I normally have them do the furminator+ so he gets groomed, brushed, teeth and nails done. I don't think this location in particular has ever dried his fur completely, cut his nails, OR brushed his teeth. In fact in the little report they give you when you pick up your dog it always tells me how his nails looked great when I brought him in so they didn't cut them... I keep his nails trimmed so that they never scratch myself or furniture. I know he has a thick coat and it can be hard to dry completely but the last time he went it was for over 3 hours before he was ready... I expected him to at least not leave wet prints in my car and be dry! I have been trying to find a new groomer. If you need your dog to be washed and that's it then this place is okay anything more and I'd look into somewhere more professional. read more

Overall not a bad place. People are generally nice and helpful but there's one lady that no matter what, always has a bad attitude. Or maybe it's not "bad" but she clearly doesn't care if she reflects that she doesn't want to be at work. Whether it's her personality all the time or not, it's unwelcoming. And when she's the only cashier, it makes me want to avoid buying anything because I'll have to deal with her having a bad attitude. While I understand we have our off days (I work in retail as well), you shouldn't show that to customers. On top of that, it's not the first time her attitude has seemed so bitter. I've dealt with her subpar attitude twice. It's incredibly off-putting. I don't expect to have flowers thrown at my feet as a customer- but jeez, if you're having an issue with something/someone, don't take it out on the customers with an "I hate my life" attitude. I got a new puppy. Went to pets mart to check things out. When I asked for help, I was immediately was coerced into buying this stupid "puppy book" that had coupons for for "starter puppy kit." The coupon book cost $20 and it basically forces you to buy the most expensive things in the store if you want to receive the discounts. It has a free vet check, however I receive those in the mail all the time. Like an idiot I purchased the book and it wasn't worth my money because the coupon book cost more than the discounts that I received. At the check out the cashier said "congratulations, you saved ALMOST as much as your coupon book cost." I will avoid pets mart and go to another pet store where they will actually care about me and my pet instead of trying to swindle customers out of money. Besides, pets mart is way expensive and for what? Target next door is more reasonable and if you need good dog/cat food for a reasonable price, go to local pet stores or tractor supply store. read more

I made a 7am appt for grooming arrived before my dogs groomer and they did not finish until 12 . In my opinion this is ridiculous yes take your time and do a good job but don't waste my time . I had to leave to go out of town that afternoon and never thought a 7am appt would conflict. I don't know if they do not know how to do scheduling here or are just that poorly skilled at their jobs but something here is not working very dissatisfied. Other groomers take 3hrs about and my dog comes out looking fantastic but 5 hrs and mediocre job is unacceptable. I booked my two dogs for a bath and nail clipping on Thursday (today is Sunday) and when we dropped them off, they said that we were only booked for a nail clipping. They told me they didn't have us down for a bath but whoever I spoke with on Thursday clearly repeated everything I said 3 times so I'm not understanding what the mix up was. I am so mad that I wasted my time and gas to bring them and all they got was a nail clipping. Being that it's a pandemic this was there first grooming appointment since the whole pandemic started so I was super excited for them to get this done. The manager and employees seemed to not even care and didn't try to resolve the error that they made. I took my dog in for bath services on Sunday. I paid extra for the express service so that she would not go in the kennel at all. We were in and out in 30 minutes. The next day my dog had kennel cough. She's a 20 pound Pomeranian and the cough is so bad it nearly knocked her out. No, she did not walk through the store. The groomer offered to her hold her while I went in line to pay. Today I called and spoke with the supervisor of grooming to see what happened, ask about their cleaning procedures and if any other dogs were reported sick. Of course he didn't admit to anything and was extremely uninterested. He told me he'd "keep an ear out" and stated that they clean after each dog but I've never seen them clean anything. No wonder this was the only place I could get an appointment right away. The vet bill was $227 and we have to do a follow up in 7 days. Never again! read more
