This review is specifically for Keiron. 1st off I called him Mr. P straight out the gate bc I decided I had no idea how to enunciate Peiron. So I get in there and I'm like, "Mr. P, I need this and this, and I don't know abt the nails and his hair and his ears are not matted, "I am too good for that." I take care of my dog! Y'all I am so old, and such a rookie at all this. Keiron called me after I dropped off our goldendoodle and gently explained to me how matted his ears were and they were going to have to shave them. I know this is a chain, but real actual people work here who care about your dogs and after my experience today I can safely say Mr. K did a fabulous job and helped me through the entire process. I was in this part of town and dropped in to get a bag of dog food. With 5 rescue Yorkies, they eat "so much" dog food.. (sarcasm). Because I had been on the road so much running errands, I needed to go to the bathroom. Just to powder my nose, of course. While there, I immediately noticed the paper towel dispenser on the wall was broken. So, I took a look around. There were 2 stalls. One did not even have a TP holder. What?!?! . The bathroom is the reason for deducting two stars. Thexrest of the store was fine. Everything was neat and orderly. In fact, I did not see anything out of place anywhere. Kudos for that. The two employees I spoke with were polite and helpful. Overall, everything was great except for the bathroom. read more

If I could give -0 stars I would. Crystal in grooming should be in jail for dog abuse. yesterday, my miniature dachshund had his monthly grooming appointment. I was shopping around in the store, and decided before I left to look through the glass to see my dog getting groomed. Imagine my surprise when crystal grabs my dog by the NECK forcefully, not the top of his fur. His full neck. When confronted immediately, crystal played dumb. Was told my dog was a bite risk and tried to nibble in the past, yet this was the first time I was made aware of this and there was absolutely 0 notes in his chart because she "forgot" to put the notes in the past. My dog has never nibbled or bit anyone before. Whenever the manager came he informed me that he is "inclined" to believe his employees because he wouldn't be a good manager? What an absolute joke. Pull the cameras that supposedly work in grooming?? NEVER take your dogs here unless you want them to be abused. read more

Yesterday I had a horrible experience at this place. I took my puppy to be bathed, shaved, and combed. The lady who helped her named Cristal mistreated her on several occasions and I could hear her screams outside. Since yesterday, the puppy has been sad, and today I went to comb her like every day and she began to shake and cry. She is very traumatized. I didn't think it would go to that extent and I will do everything possible to ensure that this does not remain like this. Because I think that a person like that should not be working with our pets, which for some are pets and for others are family, as Bella is in our lives. read more

I brought my dog in to be bathed and cut. The groomer was not there at the appointment time the other groomer informed me that she is never on time. When I came to get her hours later she had not been cut. They agreed to reschedule. So, after driving back a few days later which is 30 mins for me one way to have her receive the service that was lacked in the previous visit. The two groomers walked in didn't not speak to me as they walked in passed me. Finally, the guy checked me in. The lady who was grooming her today asked what the problem with the cut was. I told her this is how she looks not cut and showed her all the shag which I have pictures of. She comes back and said well in the notes it said she couldn't get her to stand. Which has never happened before. Also, if you could not do the service why charge me $93 and pretend you did. In 40 mins they called me back and she was groomed and by some miracle I suppose they got what was impossible a few days before accomplished. While I am waiting for them to bring my dog out. I witnessed the guy in the back screaming to the top of his lungs at the dog he was blow drying and grabbing the dog forcefully by the throat. I will never recommend nor bring my dog here again. If you abuse animals, you should not be allowed around them especially in a professional environment where people trust you to take care of them. Animals can't speak and tell you what happen nor do they show bruises like we do, and it's taken advantage of here at this PetSmart. It's very unfortunate, and if you care about your animal's well-being do not leave them here alone. There also seems to be nobody to contact about the service here at the groomer which may be a problem in itself. There is no proper supervision over the employees. read more

I've been taking my dog here for grooming for probably about 2 years now and never had a bad experience! I started going to Petsmart because of the affordable prices and ease of scheduling. My dog sheds a lot so I was recommended the Furminator treatment and it helps decrease shedding so much! You do have to go about every 6 weeks to maintain it but it's definitely worth it because of the decreased shedding. Because of my dogs fur type, he doesn't need haircuts so he just gets a bath and brush with the furminator treatment. However, with this they do trim some of his hair around his paws and private area. This includes a nail trim also. My dog is very particular about who he likes and he always is happy to see the workers here! Probably because they pet him and always seem so sweet! read more

My partner comes here all the time to get food and it's usually an in and out process. For convenience of getting what you need and buying (literally bare basics) this place gets at least a star. We were approached by a trainer who tried to sell us onto training which is great honestly because it felt welcoming and I know it's their job so I'm thinking "at least their trying to gain Buisness." We were told about the deals and such but truthfully we NEEDED training because it would be great to introduce her to the basics and then go with a private trainer after to get into serious work so she can get the best help she needs while still being financially smart. We told the trainer we would think about it and the next day we gave a call to schedule an appointment. Long story short, we called at least 6 times... SIX TIMES. I left my name, my partners name, my number, her number, and my puppy's name each time because there was no trainer available to speak. I was promised a call back. I was even told the area code of the trainer so I can be ready. And nothing. I called when the trainer was supposedly coming.... And then they said oh she isn't there today. (Each day I call though?) hmmm The only excuse I ever got for not getting a call back for those times I called was "oh it's probably because she doesn't work Sunday or Monday. I DIDNT CALL ON A SUNDAY OR MONDAY. I'm so fed up. They don't deserve our buisness. Mind you this is our personal experience so if anyone has received great training then I'm happy for you but I would have atleast appreciated someone to tell me "hell nah" than to literally IGNORE US. We even mentioned on the phone to the employees that "listen we want to do the long run game and are willing to pay for whatever the trainer recommends so no need to give us the sales pitch and try to convince us to buy more or the premium classes because we WILL." I can't believe this. It's funny that I was literally almost begging them to take my money. read more

FYI- if you have a dog do NOT take them to PetSmart I had an awful experience today with my fur baby Oreo. Upon arrival, I could tell they were slammed in the grooming salon and employees looked swamped. I walked in and they immediately displayed having an attitude. I was told my dog Oreo was a "special needs" dog and he is hard to groom so there would be an extra fee. That wasn't even my issue, my issue is when I handed my dog on his leash to an inconsiderate, dumb and trifling pet groomer by the name of ERIKAH. Erikah yanked my dog by the leash and dragged him across the floor. My baby was crying he was in pain and already terrified. If you already have labeled a dog "hard to groom" why would you cause further anguish and anxiety to the animal by dragging him across the floor to a point where he is in pain? I am absolutely DISGUSTED by the treatment my sweet animal endured today. I refused to leave him there for people to harm him even further than what was displayed right in front of me. Petsmart you should be ASHAMED to even employ someone like this who treats animals this way. He is the sweetest animal and although he suffers from anxiety at the groomers (rightfully so based on today's encounter) he does not deserve to be dragged like garbage simply because he is scared. So my question to you ERIKAH, how would you like it if someone dragged you across the floor by the neck on a leash?! My first appointment was canceled because the groomer was out sick. PetSmart rescheduled my second appointment for Sunday 9/15/24. Saturday 9/14/24 I got a phone call saying the grooming was still sick could I bring my dog in today within an hour I dropped everything rushed over talked to the groomer who seem to have a slight attitude when I question her about madding & the prices she quoted me. Once she explained her version with know apology & told me I had a attitude bc I didn't agree with her I proceeded to say OK let's get my dog groomed her response was no I'm not doing your dog today. 2 cancellations I rushed over to accommodate them and yes this was very frustrating for me. Zero starts to the grooming department and pet smart as a whole. They denied me service because my 10 month old puppy has hip dysplasia. A 10 month old under 25lbs puppy because supposedly he needs to be able to "stand on his own". They didn't bother to even attempt, if they did they would know my dog does in fact stand on his own he just has issues walking. Like ALL dogs with hip dysplasia. Honestly just ridiculous. Having a policy where you can provide assistance to handy cap dogs is just beyond me. It's 2021 and you are discriminating DOGS. Truly baffled. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

Alright. I called to make an appointment to get my dog groomed. I call, making an appointment and they ask for my number, so I give them my number and make an appointment. Grooming day comes, I go and they asked "Did y'all bring your dog's rabies shot info?" WHAT?! I was never told to bring it. I have been going to this petsmart for over 10 years, recently updated the rabies shot info earlier this year. They should already have my information yet they asked if I have brought my papers. They told me if I don't have papers on my dog, they won't be able to groom him. Me being confused, they told me have a good day, going to the next customer. They didn't even ask if I have been here before, Just being rude and ending conversations asap. Finally making an appointment through my account, with all the info on my dog there. I cannot believe what I have been through for ordering 16.5 lbs of One dog food and bird seeds.i first ordered for same day delivery after hours of waiting for delivery I was brought an 8lb bag of dog food instead of 16.5lbs and no bird seed this story goes all the way into the next day so I will shorten this review spoke to dasher ..customer service more than once and supervisor ..supervisor assured me that I would get my correct bag of dog food and can keep the 8lb that they wrongfully sent she said they cancel birdseed because was damaged and I would have to re order..all first day ...I never received the order of correct size dog food ...now on second day NoOnE could find notes comments anything about me receiving wrong dog food and /or they did not see where supervisor was sending out the correct size. Today after an extended amount of time again on phone/hold and a call back I was sent two more 8 lb bags of dog food...All I was trying to do is order my pets some food for delivery because of my busy day and the headache and amount of time I wasted and can't get back is just amazing ...And the lack of compassion or care hmmm just exhausting to say the least read more

I called the grooming salon on a Saturday afternoon to ask for a simple bath and brush appointment. The lady on the line said there was an opening that Sunday morning (the next day) at 8, so I went ahead and scheduled it. Fast forward to Sunday. Even though we work long hours during the week and the weekends are our time to rest and relax, my fiancée and I got up at 7 on a Sunday to rush through breakfast and get our dog to her grooming appointment on time. We get there to check in, but they're having trouble finding us in the system. After verifying our number three times, I'm told they don't have our appointment in their system. Mind you I had just scheduled it 17 hours earlier. "Did you call the right PetSmart?" I read them the number from my phone. "Yeah, that's us." "Are you sure you scheduled an appointment?" Yeah, I thought that was established when the lady on the phone said, "Okay, you're all scheduled. We'll see you TOMORROW morning." "Hmmm...that's weird because we've been full on the weekends for awhile now." Not according to your computer less than a day ago (that part I thought, but bit my tongue and didn't say). The lady working the counter went into the back for a few minutes, then came out and said there's no way they can fit us in, despite the fact that they'd made a mistake with our appointment, and we got up at 7 on a Sunday to drive our dog out there before running some errands (we had to drive all the way back home to drop her off so she wouldn't have to sweat it out in the car). But oh, they offered to schedule us an appointment on another day. That's not how you make up a mistake to a customer. We wanted the appointment we scheduled. To not honor that, and to be so unprofessional and disorganized that the person making our appointment over the phone apparently never entered it in to begin with is a violation of the most basic of business relationships: Customers have to trust you. I don't want to schedule another appointment there. I don't want a makeup, or even a discount, because I no longer trust PetSmart to honor their word and our appointment. We altered our entire morning to fit them in, only to be given nothing in return. We won't be coming back. Oh PetSmart. I have to say that the reason that this place is down a few notches is because of the staff. Don't get me wrong...not ALL of the staff. Just the few that are slouching around like me being there is a HUGE waste of their time. Look I'm buying enough dog food to pay your electric bill so chill out. I had taken my dog there for the pet training classes. It was a decent training and the dog responded well while there but I'm not sure if they way they taught the skills was conducive to long term success. I have a Shiba Inu. They shed like crazy. I was on the verge of giving my dog up because I could not take the shedding until a neighbor told me about Petsmart and the furminator treatment they do. OMG what a life saver! The work with Max for longer than they normally do because he had so much hair that was shedding and on his coat. They went above and beyond. I just left this store with a friend and they were trying to get a hamster and we were aware of the closing time being 9 and it being 8:40. Besides the point, we asked a staff member by the name of Wren and he was very disrespectful saying we could not get the hamster and rolling his eyes. We then thought and asked if we could reserve the hamster to get it tomorrow evening and he rolled his eyes once again and stated they do not do reservations. Little back story: my friend used to work at PetSmart and I used to visit all the time and all policies are the same and their policy stated they were able to sell pets up until closing times. "I don't think anyone is going to buy it by morning" but not realizing we both work at a full time job and couldn't make it in the next morning. The manager was standing right there and heard the whole conversation and took no action into his disrespectful employee. I went here the other day to get some chinchilla supplies. I notice the boy chinchilla they had was in his wheel pushed against the glass. I understand the store wants to sell them but he couldn't get any food or water. I approved a staff member and she said he was like that all day. Any one with common sense would know he needed to eat. He just looked to stressed. I waited to see if she would do anything. Of course not. I told the cashier and explained to him that I'm educated on chinchillas since I have 2 boys at home. He said he would move it. As I was walking outside that lady I originally told was outside smoking. I went back the next day to buy him and he wasn't there. I just hope someone bought him and he didn't die. We took our puppy into the store to look for some items. The trainer greeted us and proceeded to tell us that the reason he was moaning and scratching was because he had allergies and recommended we get BLUE dog food. We took him to the vet and the vet informed us it was mange not allergies. And he told us to NOT use BLUE because they have been sued many times for false advertising of putting/not putting things in their products. We signed him up for the training class (after thatI don't know why)! The training area was small and had 6-7 puppies in the class. Add 1-2 owners, it was very crowded. The trainer was not nice and rude-spoke to us like children. Our puppy was energetic and she said we needed to take control of him (2nd class-he's a puppy around other dogs and wanted to play)! She told me after the 3rd class that he was on a different level and she couldn't spend the amount of time she wanted to with him and would we consider private lessons (over $100 more). We got a refund for the rest of the lessons. I would recommend going to another place with a smaller class or a private trainer elsewhere. read more

Took my dog to this facility and it was small and very dirty. the staff was moody and unfriendly. After I picked up my dog, he did not smell clean and looked dirty. I was not even sure on who groomed my dog as the groomer I set the appointment with left for the day. it took 35 minutes standing in line to just pay for the service. They keep your dog hostage until you pay the bill. I just moved to this area and used to go to a PetSmart in NY and it was wonderful. I will never return to this facility. read more

I go to this location for my cat's food, because it's the closest one to me. I've never had a bad experience, and once I even bought the wrong food, and they let me exchange it to the correct one. The bag was open, but they didn't mind. My cats eat the petsmart specific brand, Simply Nourish, and it's always been good for their bellies. Their fur is beautiful too. read more

I am sure the store itself is just fine but I'm disappointed in the grooming salon here. I had an appointment for a puppy bath at 10am. When i dropper my dog off I was told they'd be done and give me a call in about an hour. So, at 11:30 when I was done with all my errands, I figured I'd just go there because surely she was almost done. I arrive and am informed that they "just started" on my dog because they do the dogs in shifts. That's fine, except: 1) why make an appointment? 2) why tell me it'll be an hour? 3) why does your system allow multiple people to make appointments at fixed times that you cannot handle. If it was a walk in, they would go after my dog, I would think. Mostly disappointed that my dog sat in a metal crate for an hour and a half when I could have just arrived at 11:30, and disappointed in the lack of communication. I've never experienced this at home in Jacksonville but we evacuated due to the hurricane and I figured we'd get a few things done before we went home. We have had our dogs groomed at this location for 2-3 years. Our regular groomer has left in the beginning of 2017 so we asked the manager for someone to groom our English Springer Spaniels. My wife returned to find our female shaved incorrectly and the skirt on both sides completely gone. No attention to the Springer Spaniel cut. Our male's bottom was almost shaved. When pointing this out they admitted they had made a mistake and offered only a $10 discount. Very poor attitude and poor customer service. BEWARE OF THIS NEW STAFF. read more

This Petsmart location has its ups and downs . I am a regular customer I come in every week bc I have 2 dogs a pitbull and Chihuahua . The lines are pretty fast , and the store has a wide variety of everything for every pet . I have also tried the grooming services they were decent but you have to make sure you are getting quality service and not a rush job . The only bad experiences I have had is returing items you have to have the receipt for everything bc they say they keep it on file with their pet perks program but in reality they really only keep it on file for a short period of time . Also never ever do the free holiday pictures ! Bc you will NEVER RECIEVE THEM ! after all the hard work you go through to take pictures with your animals you want your pictures . So DONT !! waste your time and energy for pictures you will never see ! I've also tried the docs office inside of petsmart they did a good job , be careful with bringing your larger animals bc they tend us harsh handling methods . I have a 4 month pitbull that's just plays and wants attention but he weights 50 pounds ( some vet tech don't know how to hand him ) just be mindful of that , other than that the doctors know what was best fit for him . Overall I rated them 3/5 bc they do good most of the time but they still need to work on a lot of areas just like most places ! read more

Just curious took my dog in at 16 years reluctantly for haircut (due to his age) apparently as they say while cutting he had a senior moment. Snipped his ear and proceeded to glue it . At that point put him in bath at which he apparently had another moment. Called and said they wanted to reschedule tomorrow 8 am next day at where groomer wasn't there apparently only the original groomer to finish so rescheduled next day to finish . (My dog has been groomed for 15 years never any incident! Went to pay billl full charge no apologies of snipping and gluing of ear or wrongful scheduling. I went Total NY . Groomer said what's big deal it was just a snip! I said how would you like me to snip your ear and glue it back! Needless to say it got ugly manager came in no charge and I highly recommend stay away from Pet Smart Greensboro. Although they charged me nothing I will never feel comfortable to ever bring my dog there!! read more
