There is a standard drop off time, between 8-9 AM, which is pretty standard for things like this. I didn't mind the wait - they called at 2pm to say Panda was finished. I'd rather they take the time to do it well! And well they did. I've had a poor experience with the unpersonalized experience of big box grooming businesses, and my dog reacted poorly. When I came in, I was immediately greeted warmly! Panda was too, and they didn't crowd or rush at her in the lobby, so my shy girl was able to feel a bit better about being whisked away. When we picked her up, the owners husband and I chatted a bit, and he told me about her experience! I was so glad that she was well taken care of, and she's adorable as heck! I'm glad I gave her a shot, and my shy nervous dog got a great hair cut. They even (tried) to file her nails down, rather than leaving them sharp (But of course my dog wouldn't cooperate with that particular thing, but I appreciate their efforts!) We never felt like we were being persuaded to purchase anything unnecessary or upsold on anything. Sadly, I'm…read moreleaving a negative review because most recently my dog was not groomed as I requested, and I was treated rudely on top of it. I specifically requested that my dog's bangs not be cut short because I like some fringe over her eyes. They were cut completely off. When I brought this to Mandy's attention, rather than offering to fix them as soon as they grew out, she argued that she did what I requested, which is the same as calling me a liar. I know what I told her I wanted and had even shown her a picture at a past visit. Additionally, my dog's tail was cut, which I did not request. Mandy said it was "automatically done unless specifically stated it is not wanted." My dog has been groomed many times over the almost 5 years she's been alive, and no groomer, INCLUDING MANDY, has ever cut her tail. Instead of treating me in a respectful, professional manner, Mandy continued to argue that she had done everything correctly. Needless to say, I will not be taking my dog back to Ruff Cutz, and I recommend to anyone that does to make your requests in writing.
