I have a puppy that has Von Willebrand's (clotting disorder). Not his fault but he was tested by Banfield BEFORE his neutering. He came in well within normal limits for clotting (4 min. max; he was 1min 38 sec). They won't groom him. Even though I know the risks, which are minimal and would sign a waiver saying they are not responsible. Even though the doctor who is literally 10 steps away said it was fine to groom him. So if a dog that doesn't have a medical issue gets cut, do they deny service thereafter? But some "person" named Emily say she is not comfortable that she can groom him without issues. Then that means you shouldn't be in this line of work. My dogs have been groomed before. There have never been any issues even before we found out he had this condition. So my less than a year old puppy has to be uncomfortable in this heat because you can't do your job properly? Girl find another line of work. Giving one star because zero is not an option. I don't know what it is with this store. One of the trainers sucked. Grooming services suck. Banfield is an amazing animal hospital. If it wasn't for the fact they were in PetSmart, I wouldn't step foot in that store. I now understand why they can't keep clients or groomers. Don't go here. read more

In the few times I have been to this location I did not have any issue. However it rubs me the wrong way, when returning a carpet cleaner the cashier says that she is going to have to give me store credit for my deposit bc I did not bring my receipt back in. I kindly said that as a suggestion, when renting they might want to tell customers that they need to bring the receipt back with them upon return. She then looked at me and said "customers usually know they need the receipt, and I am not the one that rented it to you." read more

This store does not care about the well being of its animals in its care- especially its fish. I will never buy fish from here again- after bringing home diseases to my fish after purchasing from them. I purchased a beta 2 days ago that unfortunately passed away. I brought him back and was going to get a different one when I found 4 dead decaying betas sitting there for what looked like days without being checked on. The remaining struggling fish were swimming in filth so bad the smell of the water almost made me gag. Only when it was brought to the managers attention did they go and check on all of them after not knowing what to say and just staring at all of the containers of dead fish I brought her. read more

Fluffy the family pet is a Bichon Frise which is one of the more high maintenance dogs. I am always looking for a place that will do a good job on the grooming. I have used the Petsmart Grooming Services for a full bath and cut with mixed results. A couple of times Fluffy came out really nice and other times it was just OK. However, I am always happy with the results when Fluffy goes in for a bath and comb. The staff of Petsmart are very animal friendly. Fluffy seems to like going there which is not always the case with some of the other groomers I have used. About the only issue I have with the store is the often slow service at the checkout. We just got the cutest winter white dwarf hamster here. The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable staff -Karrie really helped us figure out what foods to purchase and types of hamster items to get. I know it sounds silly, how hard is it to have a hamster?!?! BUT we definitely would have gone the wrong route without her. Winter white hamsters are prone to diabetes, so she showed us which dry foods to get (versus getting all these sweeter trail mixes). These hamsters also are sensitive to cedar and pine, so the bedding we got was the natural kind. Our hamster is 8 weeks old and healthy/friendly! read more

**This review is specifically for the groomer. I love the staff at Banfield. I've been going to them for over 5 years** I was excited I could get a package like the Bath & Brush because my dog didn't need a full hair cut. I won't be back. He needed a bath, sanitary cut and his ears cleaned. All of those, and other services, are included in that package. When I picked him up I was told he had matting on his privates and inner thighs and would need a full hair cut service. So I clarified if trimming his privates is part of a sanitary cut or not because that's why I chose that package. I was then told yes and the employee was just not comfortable doing it because she was only recently trained. I'm fine with you being unsure if you're new at it, but shouldn't we have new groomers being supervised? She also tried to charge me without my dog getting the sanitary cut because she didn't want to admit she was unsure about doing it until I questioned it. On my dog's report, it says his nails are long. That is also supposed to be included in the Bath & Brush package. I didn't notice that until I got home. I think the younger employees need some help, more training or supervision. They shouldn't be thrown to the wolves if they are uncomfortable with certain skills. It's not fair to them or the customers. read more

They went above and beyond to help me in the salon (Cristina was great) and on the floor the manager (John) helped solve my dog food issue with no hesitation. It is clean and well kept. Generally never leave negative feedback but I was so incredibly disappointed with this location and the person in the fish department who was trying to tell me I could only have 2 fish in my 60 gallon tank. I've researched for hours, spent a lot of time to set up the tank properly and spoken to fish enthusiasts who keep fish, specifically the man I bought the tank from who's been keeping fish his entire life and was told I could keep many more. The girl told me she would void my warranty if I got more than 1-2 -I was only going to get 3, not only did they lose the sale but they also lost my business. I treat all of my animals very very well, And that's why I do my research beforehand so I am well prepared to do what's best for them.... Also didn't like the fact that she was speaking about me to someone else like I was an idiot as I was walking away. Those who work in specific departments should be educated on the animals they are dealing with because this girl was simply wrong. read more

Father in-law, 85 years old, on a fixed income, went in and bought a pet carrier to take his 13 yr old dog to the Vet to to be put down, because of it's health, Never had a chance to use it, And took it the next day for a refund, They told him they DO NOT give refunds, It's a real shame to take advantage of the elderly people in a time like that, when they lost their only and maybe the last companion they may have, It breaks their heart to lose a animal, And Pet Smart knows how to take advantage of them, They have no heart, when it comes to the people who really care about their Pets, Instead of the Multi Million business that use and Hide behind the name Pet Smart, I could understand if it was something different like a open bag, or cans of food, But something that was not used, and actually left in the car, What a rip off thing to Do, Thanks For caring read more

Took my dog there for the first time. Ready to bring her back to get bathed . They asked if there were any health conditions she had or medications she was on. I informed them that she is on anti-anxiety medications. They immediately said they cant take her if she is under sedation. Would have been nice for them to inform us of that before I wasted my time! Tara and her team of groomers do an exceptional job!! They are patient, meticulous and truly care about the dogs they groom. We have a Bermedoodle which weighs 90 lbs. and still growing. Tara (the manager) grooms him herself and he truly enjoys his time with her. He comes out looking like a million dollars!! I highly recommend Tara and her group of seasoned professionals!! read more
