I've taken my dogs here for all there needs since I got each one of them. The dog trainer Sylvia is the kindest person and best dogs trainer for affordable prices. Some items I've found cheaper at home good type stores on poop bags and food holders but they started petperks and that had helped "even" out the pricing for discounted stores. The prescription food my dogs are on are actually cheaper when I utilize the pet perks verses chewy dot com or other pet websites. My only complaint is the UD hills canned food is never in stock in bulk. I can only purchase 24 cans max at a time and my dog eats two cans a day... you do the math for a month.. When I order online it's more than instore for shipping but I get the food in bulk vs going instore every week... that's why I can't give it a 5 star. But for all the other needs this place is decent as well stocked. And I really recommend all puppy training classes with Sylvia!!!!! She's 5 star! read more

I have been shopping at this store since it opened. I went in today to return something. I just got a new puppy and have been buying many things. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in a store in my life and I am 71. The manager was unimaginably rude!!!!! Without going into details...I couldn't even get an employee to tell me his name " they said they didn't want to be involved"!!! I am a customer you are involved!!!! If this is how people are treated, after owning a clothing store myself for 20 years, everyone would be fired and I would start over. I will never shop there again! We came here too early before our Banfield appointment so we took the time to walk around. There were associates who were busy and doing things like cleaning up or restocking. I saw one cashier hustle to the register because there was one customer waiting. Like just one person and they hustled, that's good customer service. They seemed to have a good inventory of items and there wasn't stuff all over the floor or accidents that dogs had caused. We went in the middle of the week in the middle of the day so there was a good amount of parking. I don't know if I would come here on the weekends because N. Shepherd is super busy and it's hard to get in and out of to turn back onto the Main Street. read more

I was a little skeptical at first about coming to PetSmart to get my toy poodle groomed again based off my own personal experiences I've had and mixed reviews I've heard in the past from various locations. First time, trying out the PetSmart location on Shepherd Dr. and I will say I was highly satisfied. Booking was easy, the availability was flexible, the customer service I received during drop off and during pick up was awesome, the time it took for my baby to receive all her services was efficient, the actual haircut was so cute, and at an affordable price point! Jaidyn did an amazing job with my toy poodle!! I showed Jaidyn two photos previously took of my baby of a haircut style she received in the past prior to the appointment of what I wanted my baby to look like and she did a phenomenal job delivering! I have been coming to them for 10+ years for grooming services, now both of my dogs are banned because I gave feedback one of them being wounded during a grooming appointment. I booked over the phone and they waited until I drove all the way to the appointment to tell me they were unwilling to do the service despite it being a different dog. The person that came to break the news with an unwavering smirk, Andie, was extremely condescending and offered no alternatives for grooming. This place seems pretty ill-managed compared to other PetSmarts I've been to. I recently purchased a bag of refrigerated dog food and when I got home I realized it was already opened and smelled/looked off. Clearly it went bad, someone returned it, and instead of throwing it away they put it back on the shelf. Thankfully they allowed me to exchange it, but it's concerning that it happened in the first place. I've had more trouble in the past with one particular employee. Make, medium height, thin build, bald. While trying out foods for my dog, I returned some unopened packages and realized looking at my bank statements that he charged me again for the same items rather than refunding me. Unfortunately, there was nothing I could do to resolve it when I had no receipt from the transaction (my mistake) and the merchandise already was back in the store. His manner with me was extremely rude when I requested a return/refund and I've seen him display the same demeanor to other customers when they want to do anything more than a regular checkout. read more

This is the best PetSmart I have even been to. First of all, the grooming is great. Shout out to Ava, she is super king and does a great job at grooming our dog. We will NEVER return to this Petsmart. Back in March, our dog started having diarrhea multiple times a day and had to go to the bathroom all the time. This went on for several days. Before we made a vet appointment, my husband decided to open up her food container and look around. There were literal maggots in the food and a couple of days prior my husband saw what looked like spider webs. He took the food back and they gave him a new bag. Today my husband goes to buy more food, and when he gets home and finishes dumping out the container only to find more of the cobweb/spiderweb looking material. This is due to improper storage of the food and water getting into the bags. Absolutely disgusting and dangerous for our animals. The first time we thought it was a fluke, now it's a pattern and it is completely unacceptable. Please be VERY CAUTIOUS when buying food for your animals here! read more

If you could buy chest muscles here, it'd be Pecsmart. It's a good store. If you have the card, you can get some good discounts on stuff. And they sometimes email you great coupons for free stuff or 50% off. And if I need something right away, like a flea comb or pill pockets, they always have them in stock. I do find it to be extremely overpriced and that's the only reason why I would only give it a 3-star rating. Plus they have poor little animals in here waiting to be adopted and it costs quite a lot to adopt them. I don't think it really should cost anything to rescue animals. I bought an aquarium from here and I also bought fish from here. At 8:30 tonight I went back to get snails and a Placo. I simply went to the fish tank section and asked the young girl working there if they had snails and she said yes and she pointed to a section. I couldn't find any snail, but then I found one and I said are they alive and she said some of them. Then I asked if she had a Placo. And she said they're over there so I went to where she pointed and I looked and I couldn't find any so I simply asked her which tank they are in and she said, sir, I am busy. This review is for Groomer Jaime, not petsmart. I just brought my Samoyed in for a bath and brush along with defurminator. I've had trouble with petsmart in the past, but as I'm new in the area from NJ. I decided to go with the petsmart that was 5 minutes away. Took a chance and thank god I got Jaime as a groomer. I normally take my Samoyed to private groomers. No national brands as they normally don't care for your dog. If I could give Jaime 10 stars I would. I will definitely be coming back. If you go to this pet smart to get your dog groomed. Especially a long haired, more complicated dog. This is our go to place for pet supplies. Sadly the aquarium section is not taken care of at all. Today we saw an aggressive amount of dead fish and a filter clogged with dead fish. The tanks commonly look dirty, are over crowded, and full of dead and live fish together. The beta section is particularly sad with dead beta in every other cup. This is animal abuse. This is an example of complete negligence on both the staff and petsmart as a company. read more

This Pet Smart location has the sweetest staff! Whenever I bring my dogs in with me they're always so sweet and love to give my pups the attention they crave. They're always asking me if I need help finding things and always informative if I have any questions. Store: Clean and neat, easy to find things I need. Great selection of food and toys but you can honestly buy stuff from here on Amazon for a cheaper price. Parking: Large private lot located right next to Trader Joe's. Grooming: Took my Goldendoodle here for a groom which ended in her being shaved way too short than I preferred. I got over it cause hair grows back and their grooming salon is way more affordable than some other groomers in the city. But I never took her there again. The grooming staff is very friendly though and will call you for pickup as soon as your dog is done being groomed so they aren't stuck in a crate for the rest of the day. Dog training: Took my dog here for puppy training class with Sylvia and we absolutely loved it! We took our puppy here when she was about 4 months old (puppy training class is for pups 10 weeks to 5 months old). Classes run once a week for about 6 weeks and teaches simple commands like sit, stay, down, and leave it. Sylvia was so patient and accommodating with our schedules if we weren't able to make it to class. She's a great dog trainer and she totally reminds me of the dog whisperer. Whenever we run into her in the store my dog instantly sits and stays for her without being told. She truly loves dogs and always remembers our pup by name. For my dog Tex, walking into the grooming salon at this PetSmart is like a scene from "Cheers," - a place where everybody knows your name (or at least my dog's name). Replace the welcoming shouts and cheers for "Norm!" with "Tex" and that paints the perfect picture. My little man loves it here. We walk in, and already the staff is shouting, "Tex! Tex is here!" ... I can really tell that the staff loves what they do, and they all love the little canines they pamper. Tex gets completely giddy and can't wait to pounce through the swiveling door and into the back room. Kinda insulting for me that he's so eager to leave me, but I guess everyone needs their own "me time." They take same day rezzies (if they're capable). They always follow my grooming instructions. Tex always comes out smelling like he just strolled through a meadow of flowers. The other employees out in the shopping area are equally friendly. Happy holidays to you guys, PetSmart! read more

These hair groomers traumatised my dog. His grooming appointment was supposed to last 4 hours. They were not even close to finishing him up when I pulled at 5 hours since they started. The haircut is uneven, the matts promised to be brushed out are still there, and my dog is exceptionally lethargic. The groomer's excuse was that my dog did not like the hairdryer. As a repeat customer, I was hoping not to be lied to as my dog doesn't mind getting groomed or the hairdryer. I do have some photos and couldn't upload them because they're too large. read more

Let me paint this picture: So I bring my dog Pepe in for his 130pm appt. to get a bath. When we walk in, we are greeted by noone but there are 5 workers working with dogs so we stand by patiently. 5mins goes by and nothing... another customer walks in (older and caucasian-er) and everyone yells, may I help you sir! I asked him for help so that he could call me someone to help me choose a fish since the day before I had bought some and the man He treated me like an animal and raised his hand and told me to go to the fish area because a person was going to arrive, but 20 minutes passed and no one ever called me. The WORST floor staff (cashiers, "one of the managers" as one staff member referred to themself, again cashiers). This PetSmart location has been my go to place for all of my pet needs and products. Following my recent experience at this store location, I will no longer be spending any more money at this location. Floor staff has ZERO customer service skills!! They walk around as if they are mad at the world, have major attitude when asked to help or answer a question, and yesterday - literally throw receipts on the counter and walk away. Definitely a disappointment! Usually the grooming service here is very nice and satisfies my dog's needs but today when I came to pick up my dog, his hair was cut way too short and his nails were still uncut. I didn't notice until I got home that my dog's even shaved to his skin on a weird part of his butt!!its like a 2 inch bald spot!! The good: convenient location off Shepherd, in the same strip mall as Trader Joe so you can get some human treats after you get your dog stuff, and since Petsmart is at the end of the strip mall there is always plentiful parking. The bad: the selection of dog toys is abysmally bad. I should not have to spend 20 minutes sorting through toys to find one that is not already shredded with stuffing coming out, or just entirely missing the squeaker toy when the toy has the "squeaker inside!!!" sticker on it. These aren't even the misfit toys in the clearance bucket, these are the Martha Stewart "premiere" ones in the main aisle. The ugly: for years now every time I stop in at this location to buy dog food they only have one (OR ZERO) bags of my dog's food in stock. Why do they not stock toy dog breed food plentifully? I would like to buy a metric fuckton of food at one time so I don't need to make a delightful appearance here every six weeks to buy one bag of food (or find that there are zero bags of food, and of course no workers are anywhere to be found that could go look in the back and look for any extra to restock.) For toy dog breeds this place is no bueno. Were it not for the very convenient location and proximity to Trader Joe I would not come back. read more

This review is for Miguel the groomer only. Do not book with him! I always get my dog groomed here and usually it's 4.5 or 5 star service. My dog has been coming here for almost 2 years. There are two groomers who usually handle my dog. Jamie and Melanie who are both excellent and would highly recommend. When I called, one was on 2 week vacation the other was in the hospital. I asked if they could recommend the next best groomer and they guy on the phone said he could do it. I told him I was very particular about how she was groomed since it costs $60 I want it to look like it was done well. He explained that he would do a good job and he would take care of my dog. I SPECIFICALLY told Miguel, this should be in the system but I say it every time: you can TRIM the tail if you HAVE TO but DO NOT cut off the tip of it. I love her fluffy tail and the cute white tip at the end. I thought I made myself clear. NO, Instead he shaved her WHOLE TAIL and left scraggly bits of white at the very end?! My dog looks like a husky mix. She looks ridiculous without a fluffy tail. Not to mention this has to be the worst shave she's ever gotten since I've had her. Bald spots everywhere and you can see the blade marks. Every time she is groomed my mom picks her up while I'm at work. They are supposed to call her. I have it noted IN THE SYSTEM to call my mom. My poor dog was in there from 10 am until 3:30 when my mom finally called and asked why she wasn't done yet? When I got home I was in shock. I called petsmart right away and the manager apologized and gave me a refund, so props on their customer service. This review is more to warn people not to bring their dog to Miguel in particular. Wish sending negative stars were possible. Went in today to get some supplies and found myself in the worst customer experience I have had in 3 years living in the US. Cashier asked me if I wanted to enroll to their program, asked for my name, I said it and even gave him my driver's license so he could register me correctly. Even with my document in hand and me spelling my name he got it wrong. I asked him to correct it and was aggressively replied with "does it really matter?" Yes, sir. Someone's name does matter. It is part of who I am. I get that you do not care but then I do not need to care about your business either and will certainly never come back. Incredibly rude attitude, the most unprofessional and aggressive I have ever had to put up with. In the end he was not able to register me anyway, I paid and left, but actually was so humiliated that just went back and returned the items. We came here because we received a coupon book since we adopted a cat from Friends for Life a day prior. Friends for Life even hosts adoption events at this location! While we were looking for toys for our 8 week old kitten, I noticed there wasn't that great of a selection. Also, a lot of items did not have their price listed on the tag. Since I used to work in retail years ago, I refused to take multiple items that I was interested in to ask them the price at the register. Either way, Petsmart is losing out on potential sales by not having the price listed. We were in and out within a reasonable amount of time since we arrived early on a Saturday. Other times I've been, this place is packed in the afternoon. Parking spaces can be hard to find as well, but they have parking available in the rear. read more

I brought my dogs here for boarding and grooming. I can't say enough great things. My dogs stay went well. Based on their behavior after being picked up they looked and emotionally seemed happy. I have now boarded them here twice and groomed them at this location once. The grooming salon is pretty great as well! Amber was great with both of them, especially my labradoodle Ziggy who can have anxiety and be a bit skittish. She pranced right to the back with her which made me feel like she was comfortable and not scared or timid like usual. This definitely put me at ease and I will be requesting her in the future. read more

This is my favorite PetSmart. Only it's just heartbreaking seeing all the beautiful Friends for Life cats that live there. I hope they are all adopted asap! Also, this is a great place to get kittens and puppies. On weekends, several organizations are there to help you adopt a little friend. My only issue with this store is that it's gotten so incredibly expensive. I get my litter cheaper at Kroger and the cat food varies on if there's a sale or not. It's very convenient though if you just need to park and run in. I also hear they do a good job with dog grooming and classes. read more
