This is my puppy before dropping him off.

Very BAD SERVICE !!! If you love you're dog please please don't take it here. They said what cause his eyes to get red was because he was stressed. This was not stressed he also has a cut near his eye. I always take him to PETCO for his grooming but didn't had any appointments available so I took him here. Y'all don't know how bad I REGRET taking him there. I had to take him to the hospital.

Luna's beautiful profile, great face trim by Virginia !

I just left Pets Play Palace. I used a Groupon with a great discounted price to just try this place out and see if it could possibly be my yorkie Luna's "place" . I have had a great experience ! The Groupon was for a spa bath and I added a face trim (the Groupon does not include cut/trim ) . Virginia did a great job with her face trim and returned her to me in great condition , happy and calm . Nails cut and squeaky clean. I dropped her off at around 8 and picked her up at 11. Easy peasy. I will definitely be coming back with Luna!

The worst feeling in the world is walking away from your pet when you drop them off to be boarded. The pets play place make it a lot easer to go on vacation and not worry about my little guy. My dog is difficult he has separation Anxiety. They all seem to love him there and give him a lot attention. They have the most convenient drop off and pick up times. This saves a lot of money because I don't have to leave him there an extra day. They also don't charge you per walk or extra play time or anything that other places charge. Everyone should board your pet here

New dog guy here (foster turned adoption) and probably a little paranoid... but i came home the…read moreother evening and found Ella had gotten into a bag of bully sticks, with at least two missing. I was afraid she swallowed one whole. It was after hours, and found Sunset Animal Hospital online and went in. The receptionists at the front counter were warm and friendly, took my info and had us wait in a clean and dog friendly waiting room. I was seen by the vet, Dr. Kim, about 10 or 15 minutes later. I explained Ella's story, and advised him my fears of maybe the bully stick causing internal damage or an intenstinal blockage. The doctor was caring, empathetic and direct, advising me that x rays likely would not show anything. I brought a bully stick with us and showed him the treat... he suggested i give it to her and see how she eats it... We we did, and she started gnawing on it like a dog should. The doc told me that it looks like she knows how to eat them and he advised just to monitor her closely for distress, vomiting, pain, etc.. and bring her back if she showed any signs/symptoms. i went back to reception and I overheard one of the employees on the phone with Dr. Kim . I heard her say, "a consultation?" and the doctor apparently gave her instructions. When she hung up, she told me, "No charge". I was shocked, and very grateful. I actually got choked up at this display of kindness. Being a new dog owner, I probably would have agreed to anything the doctor had advised, kind of an easy "mark" so to speak... but nope, they were honest, up front, kind, understanding, and refused to take advantage of my paranoia - even though i basically was begging them to! This is my go-to from now on, and I would recommend this place for anyone like me who worries a lot about their furry family members!! Thank you Dr. Kim and Sunset Animal Hospital!

I have waited six months to write this because losing my dog was one of the most traumatic…read moreexperiences of my life, and I couldn't even find the words. Shiloh had been with me since I was 16 years old. He was 15 years old when I rushed him to Sunset Animal Hospital in the middle of the night on January 21, 2026, because he woke up screaming in obvious distress. What's even more heartbreaking is that I had brought him to this same hospital just three days earlier, where I saw Dr. Lane. Dr. Lane was compassionate, thorough, and advised me to follow up with my primary veterinarian. My experience with him was completely different from what happened the night Shiloh died while under Dr. Johnson's care. The moment Dr. Johnson walked into the room, before introducing himself, before asking Shiloh's name, before examining him or reviewing his history, his first words were, "I'm suggesting euthanasia," because my dog looked to be in bad shape. As a pet owner in complete panic, that is not how you begin a conversation. I explained that Shiloh's eye surgery had been over a month earlier and that the healing process and scab on his side were already being monitored by his regular veterinarian. I even showed Dr. Johnson videos from that same day of Shiloh awake, alert, and active just hours before this visit. It felt like assumptions were being made before anyone took the time to understand his medical history. Nurse Haley attempted to comfort me by saying it looked like a dementia episode and shared stories about her own elderly dogs having similar screaming episodes before returning to normal. While I understand she may have been trying to reassure me, it felt incredibly dismissive of what I was actually witnessing. Shiloh had never experienced anything like this before, and I wasn't looking for comparisons to another dog--I needed someone to hear my concerns and take the situation seriously. She also told me Shiloh was calm, resting in his kennel with water while they worked on a treatment plan. During that time, I was presented with multiple different estimates. The paperwork and pricing changed more than once while I sat anxiously waiting to hear what the actual medical plan would be. Instead of feeling like we were discussing how to help my dog, I felt like I was repeatedly being presented with bills before I ever understood what his treatment would be. Then Dr. Johnson returned carrying Shiloh's lifeless body in a dog bed. His only words were, "I have some bad news." He told me Shiloh had passed away in the back. In a matter of seconds, my entire world changed. After delivering that devastating news, there was essentially no compassion, no explanation, no conversation, and no support. He simply handed Shiloh back to me in the dog bed, turned around, left with Nurse Haley, and walked away. He never returned to check on me, answer questions, explain what happened, or even offer condolences. Until this very day I have never seen or heard from that doctor again. After 15 years with my best friend, that was the last interaction I had with the veterinarian who was caring for him. The only people who showed me genuine kindness that night were the people at the front desk. They were the only staff members who displayed any real compassion while I was experiencing one of the worst moments of my life. To make matters even worse, less than 10 hours after Shiloh died, I received an automated text message saying, "We hope Shiloh is doing well after today's visit," with my name even misspelled. That message perfectly summed up how impersonal the entire experience felt. I understand that emergency veterinarians see heartbreaking situations every day. I also understand that not every patient can be saved. This review is not because my dog passed away. It's because of how my dog and I were treated during one of the most devastating nights of my life. Compassion matters. Communication matters. Bedside manner matters. Families remember these moments for the rest of their lives, and I will never forget mine. I can accept losing my 15-year-old dog. I will never accept the way we were treated while saying goodbye. I sincerely hope no other family has to experience what we did that night and do not recommend this hospital AT ALL.

The people that work here are clearly genuine animal lovers and enjoy working with pets. I've been to a lot of places where the employees are rude or indifferent but that's not the case here. The practice is very clean and all staff wear masks and wear them properly which I think is great. My cat has never been so happy and at ease at a vet appointment before, when they brought her back in her carrier she was so chill and she was definitely nervous coming in. The vet herself is so awesome and explained everything in a simple and easy to understand way. They did not try to "upsell" me on a bunch of questionably necessary tests/procedures, which I really appreciated. They treated my cat and I with so much respect and straight away got to determining what's wrong and how to fix it. I would highly recommend this vet and I look forward to bringing my other pets here for care in the future.

I've been bringing my dogs here for years first my late dog, and now my current miniature schnauzer. If you look back at my previous review photos, you'll see the PERFECT schnauzer cut they used to do. Consistent. Professional. Distinguished little gentleman energy. Recently though, scheduling became nearly impossible. Every conversation sounded like: "Let me confirm if our groomer is actually working that day..." After weeks of trying to coordinate schedules, my schnauzer's hair got longer than ever. He loves wearing shirts, so yes, he had some matting. I paid extra for de-matting and gave very clear instructions: shave the skirt, but keep a full beard along with his chest and paws fluffy. Y'all... when I picked him up, I genuinely did not recognize my own dog. He walked in looking like a miniature schnauzer and walked out looking like a scrappy chihuahua named Peanut. They shaved EVERYTHING. His entire body, his face, even his whiskers. HIS WHISKERS. WTF. I know hair grows back and thankfully it's summer, but I honestly felt bad for him. As someone with longer hair myself, if somebody sat me down and buzzed me to the skin without warning, I'd probably need emotional support and a hoodie for a month. My dog still seems happy and unbothered, but I'm traumatized enough for both of us. After years of loyalty, this was incredibly disappointing and totally unacceptable. We will never come back..

**This review is for their doggy daycare**…read more I found this place when I needed a babysitter for my pups and couldn't find one last minute. My coworker told me she had heard good things about Pampered Pets so I gave them a shot and it was the best thing ever! It was an easy process getting my two labs in the system. I had to send all their updated vet information and create a profile and they were good to go! I know a few places require you have a "test day" and get approved to daycare with them, that is great and all if you have the time, I don't. My dogs literally have smiles on their faces when I take them now. They know the route and the closer we get they start jumping all over the car. They play ball and swim and run around with other pups. They get attention from the staff. It makes my heart happy to know they are having fun while I'm at work and not just sitting in the house all day. Prices are very reasonable. Half days are $18 and full days are $30. They open early at 7:30 and close late at 6. Makes it super convenient for me with my work schedule. The staff is so kind. They have a great Instagram where I can almost always find pics of my dogs while they are there being posted which just gives me a little update of what they are up to! As of 11/13/25, I stopped taking my dog here after I still have not heard back from the manager…read moreabout the incident that happened that day. Today is 11/25/25. Read below to find out more... I have been taking my dog to daycare for the last few months (just half days and a few times out of the week) to help socialize him and get his energy out. I only took him here because it's only a few minutes away from our house. I take my other dog to another daycare and now both of them attend the same daycare, NOT at Dogtopia. First off, I always request for HALF DAYS for my dog's daycare. I have several emailed receipts charging me for full days and I always have to call to let them know that they incorrectly charged me. After about the 5th time, I decided to just tell the front desk every time I pick up my dog to "please only charge for a half day." It was annoying but what's even more annoying is me having to call every single time I was incorrectly charged. Second, there's 2 workers in particular that are constantly crating my dog. I know this because I constantly check the cameras to see what my dog is up to. 9 times out of 10, depending on which worker is in charge of the room that he's in, he's crated. In my screenshot, you can see my timer at the top on exactly how long this worker kept my dog in the crate. 55 minutes is totally unacceptable and I still have not received any word from the manager about this. I was told that she was trying to keep my dog away from a senior dog that was vomiting several times that day. If my dog isn't the one vomiting and making a complete mess, then why are you crating MY dog?? When I came to pick up my dog, the worker told the girl in the room about the situation and I could tell she seemed annoyed having to unlock the door and uncrate my dog. It's as if she just wanted to keep him locked up for hours. Every time I've seen her on the cameras when my dog is with her, she has a bad attitude and always looks unhappy. Third, for over 1 month (not even exaggerating), their cameras weren't working so none of the owners had a way to check in on their dogs. Supposedly they said that it had something to do with the internet provider, however, they were all able to browse on their own work computer. Not going to lie, I was worried and tried avoiding taking my dog to daycare when the cameras weren't working because I had a feeling they were just crating my dog for who knows how long. I highly don't recommend this place whatsoever. I have been wanting to write this review for a long time and decided to wait to see if someone would reach out to me about the incident. It's been 12 days so I'm at the point where I'm convinced no one will reach out at this point. Please do not try to reach out to me to take down this review by bribing me with compensation. No amount of compensation for all the mishap will make me ever come back again!
