My dog was groomed from 10am until 3:40pm.... it took almost 5 hours to complete the grooming but that wasn't the problem; the problem was that Jen the groomer did a HORRIBLE job.. my dog looks like a "rat" I could have done a better haircut on my dog than she did. I've been to quite a few PetSmart stores in my time, and this one was kinda a disappointment. I'm used to someone greeting me the moment I walk in the door, or someone willing to help while I'm on the sales floor, but none of those actions took place at this location. I was inside just to pass the time and I thought of checking out the cats on adoption, but the cat adoption area was no where near the cat toys and items like they usually are in most PetSmarts. Still, I did check out the cat selection they had to get a few things for my own cat at home, and wow, they had an awesome selection! I've never seen so many cool cat toys before! Loved it! I did use the bathroom in this establishment, and it was not the best bathroom ever, but also not the worst. Toilet paper everywhere and no seat covers. Guess you can't win them all in every category. Finishing my transaction, the girl at the counter was very nice and sweet, but didn't talk to me about offer of a donation to homeless pets that popped up on the screen. I love it when they talk to me about helping out the animals who need it, but maybe she was new and didn't know? Overall I had a mediocre experience, but I did love the selection of things to buy, which I guess is the main reason you walk into the store in the first place. read more

Two stars because they do have a good selection for a smaller store and lots of parking. However I ran across broken ceramic dog feeding bowls and bugs flying around dog food that must have escaped from the reptile feeding area. (?) The checkout area had only one line/clerk and it was very long. When searching the store to find a manager or any other employee, I found no one. The grooming station employee declined to call a manager for me since their a separate entity apparently. When another checker finally appeared, stating she had went to the restroom, she was not personable and was rather distracted. I will not return. BTW, I do not recommend anyone to ever use any Petsmart grooming services. Google the sad reasons why and your heart will break. read more

Don't even try to take your dog here for grooming, they have the most unorganized grooming department I have ever seen. They groomed my dog about 6 weeks ago, the service was okay, but they said my dog was nervous, understandably since it was his first time. But for paying extra for the deshedding package, the didn't even furminate him. I took him home and furminated an entire bag of hair off him. Now fast forward I book an appointment, get confirmation, double check the confirmation, bring my dog in and now they don't have the appointment. They decided to change it without any notice to me, here I am drove all the way here just to find out they gave my appointment away and now their available groomer doesn't have experience and take a large breed dog. If she doesn't have experience would you want her grooming your small breed baby? That's how those horrendous hair cuts and nail injuries come about. Don't waste your time. I took my baby to WAGZ on Arville and they do a much better job at half the price. read more

We've been to lots of petsmart locations and they have always taken care of my Goldendoodle. so I figured to get him cut here. I come back and they shaved him bald. WTF!!!! they leave his tail and head nice and neat and shaved him bald. Are you guys kidding me. Every groomer has worked with us, got him fluffed and hes always happy. He looks like a damn Coyote!! Never again coming back here for grooming. 4 freaking hours to shave all his hair. No damn call nothing. Horrible. need a groomer go somewhere else. Not here. read more

I went I looking for a spotted Gecko and ended up getting a Fancy Bearded Dragon thanks an extremely helpful and knowledgeable employee Renauld. He helped me with my million questions from what lizard is the best for kids who's would like to hold it and the easiest to maintain, to live food, dry food, etc. He even showed me a great deal on a 49 gallon desert kit aquarium with heat and UV lamps, thermometer and carpet, all of need for our new friend. I even went back for more crickets and some feeder fish for my turtle and he was so awesome helping my kids out as well. I've never had such a great experience in a as I did here. Not my neighborhood Petsmart, so I don't go here very often. We were sent here by the other Petsmart be cause they were all out of what we were looking for. The store seemed clean and employees pleasant, but none of them stopped to say hi or fuss over our pup like at the store we frequent. They had the product waiting for us at the register in the front. It was a weekend so it was a bit busy, but they opened up another register for a quicker check out. The only thing I realized after we had already left, is that they didn't ask for my Petsmart card at checkout. read more

This review is for the aquatics department. When I entered I asked the employee what fish get along with a betta? His reply: a betta. Then he processed to tell me that all fish are a bad idea and that betta should be left as a single individual. Petsmart really needs to train their employees better. I asked a very simple question and got a very stupid and uneducated answer. I ended up walking out without purchasing anything due to his lack of intelligence. For the record- bettas are picky about their tank mates but they can be with other non aggressive fish. read more

PetSmart, fix your hours on Google and Yelp to say that the groomers open at 8am! I had an appt for 8am, but when I found the store hours didn't open until 9am, I figured that my appt time was wrong. That was the second time you turned away my dog and I. The first time last weekend was because I didn't have the paper rabies certificate even though I had his updated rabies collar tag. You guys provide good service, but these last 2 times have been really bad customer service. read more

So being that we now have two doggies and this is the closest pet store to us, we are frequent Petsmart shoppers. Petsmart may be a lil more expensive than Walmart which is right next door, but they do have more of a selection. We've taken the fiancé's family dog to get groomed there and they were very reasonably priced. They now have a Martha Stewart line, which has cute dog bowls/dog clothes, etc, but at a higher price. You can find really good sales after big holidays and stock up on rawhides, etc. I'm not sure how the other pet selections are, but for dogs, they seem to have a variety of items. You can also bring your furry friends into Petsmart, which I have on occasion. OOOOHHHH and there's a Petsmart card, which you can get discounts and coupons on the mail. Overall, a good place to buy almost everything you need for your pets! read more

Date of Incident: 06/11/18 7:00PM-7:52PM Cashier #: 408724 Store Leader: Jim Rigsby Let me just start this off by saying that this was the first time in a long time I walk into a store during business hours and it sends chills down my spine. The entire store was void of any customers and staff when I first had arrived, didn't even notice the one cashier at the front when I made my way in deeper; dead silence. I made my way to the cat area, browsing the litter boxes and most of them were either missing lids or broken at discounted prices (I was lucky the one I did end up getting was functional) I then needed help to see if they had the dark brown one I had originally wanted that was missing a lid, had more in the back. So I walked towards the front after ten minutes to see if anyone had come out from hiding. That was when I noticed the one cashier (Randall) and asked if he could help. His response was "Umm, sorry I can't." Obviously this alarmed me as I replied, "Excuse me? Why not?" and he tells me that he can't because "they are doing something in the back and I was told to not move from this spot and watch the store while they are gone." Again, I'm just standing there dumbfounded wondering why on earth the team lead/manager directing him to do this is comfortable loosing money for the company. The solution would have been to have at least two people watching the store so that if someone needs assistance, it can be done. So I asked him, "So do you know what time they will be done?" he responses, "No." At this point I just submit, not wanting to start any drama and told him "That's fine, I'll just gather up the rest of the things I need and by then they should be done. Will you help me once they are done?" and he responses, "Yeah, I'll come meet you over there." So problem solved; or so I thought....After gathering all my things and starting to here some commotion after some time I walk my way to the front of the store again, only to catch a glimpse of Randall watering an animal's cage. I get to the area I had met Randall earlier and see two lady coworkers messing with some carts and I call out to them. "Excuse me, I just need some help." The woman who ends up being my cashier for the evening approaches and I tell her I need help but also breaks down what had happened to me earlier, explaining how upset I am to be ignored. She responds with, "Yeah, no. I'm sorry. But he also probably just forgot." No, I'm not sorry because when it is acceptable for a paying customer to be forgotten in the first place? If that was so, then where was my apology from Randall on that because it didn't happen. I don't NEED to give my money to a business with such lousy customer service and the sad thing for you, this business looses money. Randall now hears us talking from a few feet away (probably remembering me now) and walks over asking what's going on and instead of simply pointing out that he was to help me earlier and forgot, she passes the torch to him asking if he will help me and he responses, "oh yeah, sure!" as if I'm just a new freaking face he has never seen in his life. (In all honesty, she could have helped me instead since I already had issues with him in the first place). Now as I turn to walk away with him I catch wind of the my soon to be cashier mumbling something to another coworker (who was blonde) mumbling and I hear the words "she/he is such an asshole" Now I don't know if that was direct at me or him, but in either case neither me nor Randall would be assholes. He just needs to work on his customer service and I was just simply needing assistance and had been ignored since the minute I walked in. So frankly, the word 'asshole' shouldn't have even escaped her mouth. I looked over the minute I heard it to see the coworker she mumbled to looking directly at me, with a petrified look on her face as if to imply 'oops, got caught'. I would appreciate it if the Store Manager looks into this matter and discusses this with their team so that this location can improve upon customer service.; I spent $178.24 for a poor one. read more

The woman who runs the dog grooming was very misleading in information with trying to get hired there. She was very rude quite snobby when asking questions in person and on over the phone. I haven't heard of very good reviews from their dog saloon from friends who have brought their dogs there but when a Job opened up I though I'd try to get hired. I interviewed and earned a second interview. She said my assessment didn't go through and it had. She lied. I called a day later and the store said the received it but she had just said she had not. And when given a second interview I was dismissed and lied to by saying only this woman could only interview me. Then apparently they hired someone over her vacation by another manger when I was told to call back to schedule something after she returned. It felt very personal and she was uninterested in getting back to me. Very unprofessional and disappointing. This store employees are normally very helpful, she however seemed to lie and possibly purposely not want to give me a interview even though she told me to come back after her vacation. I guess everyone is correct about the grooming people in petsmart on ft Apache. Very unprofessional. read more

This is my local petsmart and i have always found the staff to be friendly. I find petsmarts not to have that wet dog /animal smell line petco does (sorry petco but some of your stores really smell! ) and the prices to be better. The prices are good considering the food i purchase, just wish there were more manufacturer coupons. The pet smart brand of laser pens seem to last which is good with four cats :) read more

I've been bringing my dog Dobby to get his nails trimmed here since he was 6 weeks old and he loves it here! The people who work here are so nice and they always remember his name which makes me feel better about leaving him because he has really bad anxiety when getting groomed. Don't buy a reptile at this store. I was at this store last night and an older employee was trying to tell me the proper way to care for a ball python. After all she said (which nearly everything was WRONG), I infirmed her that there's not even a temperature/humidity gauge in the tank! Not only that, she gets the key and opens the tank and is too afraid to reach in and feel the substrate. So I reached my hand in and it's completely COLD! This baby ball python was living without any heat source in a cool air conditioned store. Ridiculous!! read more

Overall great store. Everyone knows latte there especially when he screams (howl that sounds like he is getting killed but is just wanting attention).. We are regulars as we signed Chocolatte a 5 pound 1 yr old chi for training with joe and he is a amazing trainer that in the beginning I knew that my dog wouldn't sit ever but he did get him to sit by the end of the class and I was so surprised and at the end of the 6 week class your puppy gets a diploma and a hat!!! Very nice trainer and good. When we got another pup, the trainer wasn't there that day we visited and the manager saw our new pup as well as latte and the very next time he saw us the word got around and he asked so I heard you got a new dog . Lol. So if your regulars just know the word gets around quickly lol. Very great items though. read more

I'm updating this because I come here often. I get my dogs nails dremmeled and filed. I brought the boy in 2 weeks ago for a bath and general cleaning and Olga did a fantastic job. I mean, he looked sooooo beautiful. I highly recommend Olga. My boy hates getting his nails done. He fusses a lot and she is so patient with him. I still can't get how great he looked, how clean he was and how soft he was. Trust me, Olga rocks. She is the ONLY one I want touching my dogs. I am in shock at this locations lack of training, and common sense regarding the care and housing of their veiled chameleon. I noticed that they had a FEMALE veiled chameleon (which is in a glass enclosure) and the temperature in the terrarium was at 100 degrees! And the humidity levels were only at 40%. Not only that, but there was a bowl of water, which she is supposed to drink out of? Female veiled should not be kept at a temperature any higher than 82-88 degrees, and the humidity should be kept at at least 50-60%. Also, Chameleons don't drink water from a bowl, it must be dripped at a consent flow for at least 15 minutes, onto leaves where they can drink from. This poor beautiful creature looked dehydrated, lethargic, and overheated. She was sitting in the corner, with sunken eyes, and she has no movement. Not even mentioning the moral obligations of this locations ignorance, it's absurd that you're attempting to sell this poor thing for $99. She is clearly sick, and not well cared for. If you are not going to train your employees on how to care for your reptiles to the bare minimum, you need to cease and desist at attempting to collect money for your abuse. I told the cashier that the chameleon cage was far too hot, and he went over to the cage, looked in, and then consulted the PetSmart care sheet brochure! That means they have no idea what they're doing!!!! read more

Worst customers services I ever had. I bought 2 dogfood bags 30 lbs and 15lbs. Got wrong price for 15lbs bag so I asked the manager to return it. He said he can't do it with his such a bad attitude. I had to bring in both bags for refund then I can purchase the 30 lbs bag. And when he did the refunds he didn't even want to check out for the bag that i wanted to buy untill i asked him to do so. why is that??? It's just a simple transaction and as a manager he can't figure it out ?? This guy has problems of listening to customers? ?? Well they just lost a customer. I will never never come back. The worst experiences I had to carry those heavy dogfood bags back in the store. read more
