I received an email from PetSmart. It said spend $20 or over on any cat product and get $5 off. I go in and asked if they were aware of this ad? They said yes. I bought 2 items over $20 for our cats. I go to the checkout and they call the manager because the discount wasn't in their system. The manager came back and said no sale sign so no discount. He then asked where is your coupon? I said it didn't come with the email. I asked him to look it up on the smart phone and sure enough there it was. The Ad without any coupon! I asked for him to show me the coupon. He said he couldn't find one but there was an asterisk. I replied, what does that mean? He said I don't know but no discount! This was the worst customer service I have ever received! The manager was standing in the check stand looking like a, "Deer in the headlights" A man in line said, "Are you trying to screw this guy out of $5? No response and out the door I went without $68.00 of cat products. I've always had good service from PetSmart but not at this store! read more

Today I brought my dog in for a grooming and wash. When my son picked her up she had a hard time opening her eyes and they were red and irritated. I came home a little later and noticed it as well, so I called this location and asked what was used on her so that we could let the vet know. While speaking with someone (no name given), I explained the situation and apparently she found it amusing. She said she couldn't tell me off the top of her head but did not offer to put me on hold to check, then laughed. I was just flabbergasted and figured she didn't care and I wasting my time. I guess maybe I didn't emphasize my concern well enough? But for her to laugh about it is just unprofessional and inappropriate. We've been at this location four times already and service has always been above par. Call me sensitive but when it comes to my pets I'm a little protective, and especially don't find humor in my pet being uncomfortable or in pain. read more

However after bringing in the necessary paperwork, shot records, only to find they didn't record them! The staff is always kind and professional My issue is that when I call ahead to get a nail trim done I'm told I don't need an appointment and to " just walk in" The staff is busy and can't take my dog- not their fault- and I've been sent away. Why I would give it above average: The gal that fished out our fish for us did not pass on an almost dead/stressed out fish. I took my golden retriever for a bath this morning (Sunday) and it was done in about 2 hours. Nice and friendly people there. My golden coming home seem happy. It was my first since a long time since I last sent my dog here for bath/groom. So, what happened when I went pick my golden up, they gave me an invoice to pay at the regular petsmart checkout counter, and then went back to the groomming section to pick up my golden. However, there wasn't a tip section when I paid at the counter, and when I went back to the groomming room, I didn't see a tip box there either. They have plenty of product and friendly enough staff but something about the environment is a bummer. I do love that they always seem to have great sales on dog toys and that they carry the dental chews that don't smell so horrid. This is my favorite Petsmart location. I take my puppy here to socialize, and every staff greets her, even the groomers come out of their grooming salon to say hello. Everyone seems knowledgeable with their products, and is friendly. I took one class with Kerri, the lead dog trainer. She is very kind and easygoing. She seems to know what she is doing! read more

Price is the reason to go here, what for quality. Service is hit or miss, I am a bit of an Aquarium snob....But there is a guy in the fish department that really knows his stuff though, I believe he is the manager I had two African cichlids go belly up on me within two days of purchase- He swapped em out without a hitch- he did an amazing job. I purchased about 8 of the them. I have had several not so good experience's, some include waiting for people/help/service etc..), some of there fish gave my entire tank ich! (My fault for not Quarantining properly though)- you have to know what your looking for when selecting fish. Also if you need crickets get them in the fish department- at the register I was told to leave my things to go back there and get them-- Petco lets me pay for them, and then they at least call the order in over the store PA and I wait for them by the front door... read more

DO NOT BUY ANIMALS FROM HERE. I will say the staff is very kind and helpful. That being said I still would like to give the place zero stars. I bought a Russian tortoise here exactly four weeks ago today. I asked multiple times that he was healthy because I knew with the virus I couldn't get a wellness check. After going back and asking about him a few times I was assured he was a young 4-5 month old male who was perfectly healthy. I got him and at first he was totally fine. He was the sweetest little guy and I fell madly in love. I joined some Facebook groups and was told he was actually a 5ish year old female. I was bummed but it's fine it happens, they're really hard to sex and age if you don't know a hatching date. Well he did great up until Saturday where he was running around but wouldn't eat. Sunday I got the call he had passed and after I tried to get him to a vet I was told they weren't able to do an exam because he had passed but it most certainly wasn't anything I did. Devastated doesn't even begin to cover it. I'm appalled and crushed that I lost a little buddy I loved so dearly in such a heartbreaking time. Please actually get safe animals that are healthy I can't imagine how many pets must have been sold from here that didn't make it long. I know there isn't anything they can do because it's after their warranty so all I can say is don't get an animal from there, it's not worth the potential heartbreak. read more

I didn't think much of the pamphlet after the wash at first but after trying a different place, I realized how much I appreciate it. I have been coming here for my pets' needs for 3 years and can honestly say they are the best Petsmart I've ever been to. The sales associates here all have pets and can give you personal recommendations on products their pets have loved or hated. One guy helped me track down a product I found online and searched statewide to see if anyone had it available. He later called me back to give me a status update. They take really good care of my fiancées cat here. Store has a huge selection. Got a bird toy for cheap. Love pets mart, however there was only one lane open and the checker was incredibly slow since she was chatting with the customer and scanning food super slow. Petsmart is pretty much the same regardless of where you go but the service we got here was exceptional. The store is not at bright and lively as the one in Everett but had just about everything your little baby would need. I had a coupon for cat food that only worked with the low quality brands. The cashier trued everything to get it to work even looking for other coupons. After not luck he cashed over the manger and both agreed to give me the $10 off add a customer should not be penalized for buying better food. Amazing! Also they price match any other brick and mortar store and week stack manufacturers coupons too! read more

I was thoroughly disappointed. First of all this hair cut took 4 hours! I dropped off my pooch at 8am and after 12pm I hadn't heard anything so I decided to make a call. They said that they were finished with him so I could come pick him up. Why they didn't call me I'm still confused on. Anyway I came and picked him up and paid 50$ for an uneven haircut. My dog, a large Pomeranian, has fur that mats easily and do we understand that some of the Mats just need to be cut out. However, before he cut he had no mats on his bottom so I am baffled as to why it's is so choppy in the back. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this location. read more

The pet grooming services at this location are an absolute joke. Don't fall for them having "cat groomer specialists". My appointment for my 2 Maine Coons was for a bath, haircut, nail trimming and the works. At arrival, my first clue should have been when the clerk a/k/a the cat groomer asked me if I wanted them bathed and cut. Did she think I was simply bringing them in for a tour of the filthy facility? We were told they had special blocked times for cat grooming with no dogs present. At pick up, there were dogs, so that was false information. My cats were barely trimmed after requesting a "Lion Cut". The deer in headlights I got after my request should have been another red flag. They were not bathed and nails not touched. Not sure what I got for $130.00. The janitors must be cross trained to do the grooming here as well. Save your time and money and go to the City Kitty in Edmonds. It's like the difference between Gene Juarez and Super Cuts. read more

I would give my experience at this specific PetSmart groomers location no more than a 3 star rating. Wasn't great, wasn't terrible. Upon first walking in, I wasn't greeted until announcing that I had an appointment, which all they had to say to me in response was that I was late for it. Apparently I was scheduled for a 1:00 appointment in their system but I got a reminder email that specifically said my appointment was at 1:30, which is the time I showed up at. I tried to explain this to them but was essentially told that I was wrong and that my appointment was indeed at 1:00 and that was that. Luckily, I was still able to do the appointment at the time I came in. Upon handing them over my cat to be groomed, they grabbed her by the skin of her neck, which I understand is a standard way to pick up a cat that you aren't familiar with, however, this is not an ideal way to pick up a cat and is actually proven unnecessary and uncomfortable for many cats. My cat does not like to be picked up this way AT ALL and had a noticeable change in demeanor and I would've preferred to have been asked the best way to pick her up so she wouldn't freak out. She is rabies vaccinated and is not labeled to have aggressive behavior whatsoever so I just felt like it was an extra step that they didn't need to take. She was scheduled for a full service groom for $59 which ended up being $30 since I opted out of a bath for her, which I appreciated that they discounted me for. They did a fairly decent job grooming her, however, there was a noticeable chunk of hair missing from her back leg that didn't need to be missing which made her trim look a little bit funny. Not a big deal, since hair grows back, I just wish they would've been a little bit more careful. I was told she was well behaved and that there weren't any problems so all in all this was an okay experience. I just know that I have received better service elsewhere. read more

I usually only go here for pet supplies, since they are close to where I live. The staff here is really friendly and they do their best to help you. My only complaint is that when I did see a tarantula here (avicularia avicularia, approx 3in or so dlg), it was kept in a tiny critter keeper instead of being in the wider enclosure, which would be more optimal of an enclosure for it. I get that the reason they do this is so that they can just grab the animal when someone buys it, but avicularia sp. are very docile and easy to rehouse. Also when I did buy a scorpion from here, I noticed they had a sponge for the water instead of a water dish. Sponges increase the chances of mold growth, which is harmful to scorpions, or any animal for that matter. The care sheets for arachnids are unreliable also. It really sucks that any of these concerns, the staff can't really help because they're more than likely corporate policy. I wish they were given more freedom to run the store instead of being dictated by corporate, who probably doesn't know much about raising the animals on the floor in the first place. read more

I've been taking my dog here for 4 years for nail trimming. Never had an issue until today when one of the groomers basically bans my dog from coming in again. He's a rescue and doesn't completely trust other dogs he doesn't know. He's a bit squirmy and needs some emotional support but nothing they couldn't handle for 4 years. She was so rude and was rough with him which makes him more insecure. I think it was the groomer more than my dog's issue. read more

This review is for Dr. Gayatri Shrikhande (Dr. Shri). This woman is absolutely horrible. I have been taking my dog to Petsmart for grooming and been a member at Banfield for many years. When picking up Sushi (my super stud muffin chihuahua) he is always happy and wagging his tail as he leaves. With the exception of the time he met with Dr. Shri. When I arrived Sushi had his tail between his legs, crying and clawing trying to climb away from her. When I was brought into the exam room where Dr. Shri explained to me Sushi had a murmur. I told her I work in a cardiac ICU and wondered if the dog heart was similar to a human heart. She told me it was exactly the same. I responded with, "perfect I understand what he has and does he need BP medications of any kind." She then proceeded to draw me a picture of the structures of the heart for 15 minutes in a very condescending tone. Sad part is in 15 minutes she kept telling me of the 4 chambers of the heart but never explained a murmur. When I asked about BP meds she kept referring back to his 4 chambers. WTF?!? Does he need them or not?!? Simple question, she just had no clue what she was talking about. I also asked her what are the different stages of heart murmurs since she labled Sushi as having a stage 4. Her response, "there are many stages and he's in the 4th one" and again drew another picture of a heart but couldn't explain the difference between the stages or even how many there were. So Sushi was again due for another comprehensive exam and I specifically asked not to be seen by Dr. Shri. I even made the appointment on a different day to avoid her. To my surprise that when I picked Sushi up today, he was freaked out clawing his way out of the exam room only to be followed by a Dr. Shri. Sushi also has a cyst, which was previously tested and cancer free. Sushi's cyst was huge and I asked if it was possible to drain it again. If I was going to be charged for it then I would rather do it myself which I have done in the past. Dr. Shri in her condescending tone, told me to stop doing it at home since I know nothing of how to be sterile and she'd be happy to do it with a large fee. Hmmm.....now for most people I would agree with her. But considering where I work and the fact I put IV's and chest tube in babies that are smaller than my hand, I think I know a little bit about sterile procedure and precision. When I asked her what sterile procedure they use, she studdered and said "with sterile needles so you should just stop doing it." Did she think I used needles that the bums on Aurora were using to shoot up with?!? To sum it up...if you go here request not to see her. Hopefully, unlike today they will honor that request. Worst part is the tech even told me that I was the 3rd person today to tell her that they refuse to have their dogs seen by her. Take note Petsmart...listen to your customers and fire her. It'll save a lot of trauma to our poor fur babies. read more

I took my Yorkie to their grooming center for a full service package. The girls that work there are outgoing and treat the dogs well. My dog's groomer did a good job and before I paid, asked if there was anything she missed then she quickly trimmed off the extra hair for me. I left happy b/c she said that my dog was great and really sweet and she would love to groom her again the next time I came. ^^ read more

This is where I buy the majority of my pet food and toys for my little doggies. Like the other yelper said the sales associates are always friendly . The store is always clean and well kept. I brought in a petco coupon on accident as I thought it was for this store. I didnt realize it til the cashier informed me of this and I felt dumb and I said dont worry about it. But she called her mgr and they stated they can honor it! Sweet deal, not only do they have great customer service but their prices are better than anywhere else in the area. read more

I have mixed feelings about this PetSmart. At first, I loved it. I used to go to the Pet Co in Lynnwood but this PetSmart is much better. I have never seen a dead fish at PetSmart whereas I saw them every time I went to Pet Co. Second, the Simply Nourish cat food from PetSmart is awesome. My cats love it and they are so much more active now than they were before. Their fur is soft, they are more playful, and they are more cuddly. I recently had a bad experience at PetSmart. I went to get fish for my aquarium and ended up buying 8. No one there bothered to tell me that you shouldn't add more than 2 at a time. So 7 of those 8 fish died from fin rot which also killed my pleko who I'd had for 2 years and my 2 tetras who I'd had for almost 4 years. I was heartbroken because I loved those fish. I feel like if someone had suggested to me not to bring home so many fish that all of my beloved pets might still be with me. I'm very sad and bitter about this. I think the employees need to be trained better. I will still shop at PetSmart, I will just do more research before buying fish since I can't count on them to help me. read more

I was hoping to get someone with a decent amount of years under their belt... that didn't happen. The girl butchered my dogs hair cut. My dog is an Irish Terrier x lab and the other girl that I spoke with there was somewhat knowledgeable and advised not to cut too short as my dog has the lab undercoat and cutting into that would ruin its softness. Unfortunately, my dog hair cut looks like a mean joke. I'm going to have to wait a long time (as her hair grows short) for her hair to grow out enough to take her somewhere else for them to attempt to fix the hack job they gave my poor dog. Worst experience, waste of money. Spare your poor dog and yourself the embarrassment. read more

The groomers did an amazing job with my pups first visit. Timely, affordable, professional, and such a nice feature to be able to pop by the vet clinic if necessary (or like we did just to weigh our pup and see his growth). I took my 11 month old Siberian Forest kitten Luna here for grooming. She had some matting in her long hair from wearing a cone and not being able to groom herself after getting spayed, but Courtney McIntosh was able to comb and spot shave the knots out, as well as giving her a shampoo and condition and trimming her nails. I was a little nervous that she would have bald patches where the knots had been, but you can't even see! Luna is a shy girl with people she doesn't know but she took to Courtney right away and seemed very comfortable with her. I couldn't be happier. Luna looks (and smells) amazing! Her coat looks so shiny and healthy. I will definitely bring her back in the future. read more

Bring him no later than 8:30pm." I walk in at 7:45p. She asked if it was his first time here. I said, "yes." I was told he could not be seen. I needed to have his vaccination records. I would only give this store 1 star if it wasn't for their badass employee Melissa.. I frequent this Pet smart as I have many pets that always are in need of something.. Anways I'm usually there for feeder fish and most people there (in fish dept) besides Melissa will roll their eyes when I ask for 30 to 40 feeder fish. Melissa always steps to the plate and providing a customer service above and beyond anybody that works at this location.. I now walk into this store and if I don't see Melissa working the fish dept I immediately walk back out.. I'm not even kidding when I say that if she's not working it takes me 30min to get any kind of help..If Melissa is working I'm usually in and out within 5 to 10min tops. I just had to say something cause it's hard to find Awesome customer service like hers anymore anywhere. Thank you Melissa for completely changing my hope for this store.
