His haircut looked an absolute mess as they left parts of him longer than others AND left choppy spots. Not only was the haircut a mess but they decided that he magically had hair knots in his ears so they decided to PLUCK it out which has resulted in my puppy developing an ear infection. When a groomer finds an issue with a pet they should be advised to talk to the owner about any "solutions" prior to them performing anything. This was not done....We also did not find out about this UNTIL after we visited the vet and called the groomers and that is when they informed us about the ear plucking. His ears were so irritated that his ear canal started bleeding and developing puss. You could only imagine how uncomfortable this is for a PUPPY. I do not recommend this place at all.

She seemed a bit unsure of what she was doing, which happens, but what bothered us more was her overall attitude. If you're dealing with customers and their pets, basic friendliness goes a long way--and that just wasn't there. What stood out even more was the woman who I believe is the owner. While I was waiting for my dog, I watched her talk endlessly to a customer--just rambling on about who knows what. It wasn't a warm or engaging conversation; it felt more like the customer was stuck listening, and you could tell they were trying to politely escape. But beyond the talking, what really rubbed me the wrong way was how she treated her staff. There was a vibe--like she wasn't the kindest or most genuine with them. It's not something you want to feel in a place where people are trusting you with their pets. And here's what really pushed me to write this review: my dog's tail was left looking choppy and uneven. It was the most noticeable part of his grooming, and it just wasn't done well at all. That's not something I expect from a professional grooming service. To top it off, a friend of mine went in a few days later and had her own odd experience. That same front desk associate offered her dog food that was about to expire. She took it but found it even more strange that the lady confidently told her it was about to expire and that was why she was giving it to her to try--and honestly, so did I. That's not the kind of customer experience that inspires confidence. Overall, between the poor grooming, the awkward energy, and the unprofessional vibe, we won't be coming back.

I brought my newly adopted shelter dog for evaluation as she is a bigger dog and I want to let out her energy and socialize with other dogs as I work. They were at first very accommodating and welcome you. But again when you are " sold" they change, as sales pitch is over. At the first evaluation, they say she was shy, tail down etc. so she needs more time so me I thought to myself, that's normal for a first time so since the first is free the next I willingly paid for the next evaluation. The next came and next , total of I think 5 times I paid and same results. Those 4 times I already started to doubt my dog so the 5th time, I asked my partner to come with me to see if my feelings are valid. And yes, my partner said something was very off and he definitely said that my dog is not what they are telling us. FYI, my dog in our home and even on walks, is the most friendly, approachable and respectful of other dogs even in dog parks. And I want to point out too that when everything sank in to me, I definitely have noticed that when I picked up my dog, she doesn't look ok, she looks very bored, tired and somehow different. She's so glad to see us when we pick her up. The first time I brought her, she is not like that, but onwards she definitely is telling me something is off. When she's home, and even to friends and family, she is so playful and friendly even to their new dogs but Petsuites's Missouri city evaluation says otherwise. In the end , I stopped and once I didn't book (pay) for the next session for evaluation, they tagged my dog failed immediately as I checked when I got home. I brought my dog to a real dog specialist and they said nothing is wrong with my dog. Moral lesson to this story: DoNOT doubt yourself as a pet parent or as a person and always double check early on with another specialist if something feels off. It is always possible that it's NOT your dog that is wrong. It CAN possibly be the people who is in charge and it's possible that they just don't like you and not your dog. Because up until now, I cannot find any reason why my dog failed this dog facility when my dog passed a vet behavioral specialist and other dog daycare facilities.

Prince stays in one of their private suites with the webcam option, which I highly recommend. Being able to check in on him throughout his stay gives me so much peace of mind, especially when I'm traveling. The first time I boarded him, I noticed on the camera that he seemed to be spending most of his time in his suite. After I called to ask about it, the staff took the time to explain that they had intentionally kept him there because he was becoming anxious around the other dogs. Rather than forcing him into an environment where he was uncomfortable, they chose what they believed was best for his well-being. That thoughtful, individualized care meant a lot to me. Since then, Prince has developed a great relationship with the team. He genuinely seems to enjoy them and has never had a stressful or emotional drop-off, which says everything about how he's treated when I'm not there. If you're looking for a boarding facility that truly pays attention to your dog's personality, communicates openly, and treats your pet like family instead of just another reservation, I highly recommend them. I always leave knowing Prince is in caring, capable hands.

Her name is Bella Ruse I enrolled her in the daycare and train. The difference in her behavior afterwards was amazing. I honestly don't think I would have been able to keep her if the training hadn't worked. Bella Ruse still attends doggy daycare most of the days when I'm at work. She LOVES Lone Star. Once we pull on to the street where the facility is located, she start wagging her tail and practically pulls me out of the car to go inside. She comes home happy and tired after playing all day with her friends, while watched over by the caring staff. Whether you're looking for boarding, training, daycare or grooming, I couldn't give this place a higher recommendation.

Her tone is rude and unacceptable, and the way concerns are handled is not what I expect from a business I've supported for years. The biggest issue is the lack of transparency and confirmation around membership bath charges. I receive texts to confirm appointments, but when it comes to counting/changing membership baths, they do not wait for confirmation. At the beginning of the month, my 5th bath was counted/charged because the first Tuesday of the month was treated as the 5th bath -- even though my membership payment date is the 4th, so that Tuesday falls before my payment date. I was told I would be charged $35. When I explained I was not aware of this, Kim's response was dismissive: "this has been the case," and I should "check my card," followed by an unnecessary Netflix comparison. She also said they have "300 customers" and she's not going to call customers to inform them.That response says everything: instead of helping clarify a confusing billing situation, the attitude was essentially "not our problem." After that, she ended the call and canceled membership. Petbar should understand they're not the only option in the area, and this experience made it clear that what looks like a "reasonable" membership comes with poor customer service, unclear communication, and billing practices that feel misleading. To be clear, I'm not upset about a policy existing -- I'm upset about the poor communication, the charge without proper confirmation, and the rude, defensive behavior when I tried to address it. Petbar membership does not mean their front office have free pass to be disrespectful. I asked for the owners/management to contact me because this is a serious customer service issue. I'm still waiting, and customers are not provided a direct way to reach ownership. If you're considering Petbar Sugar Land, be aware: expect poor communication, surprise charges, and rude front desk service, based on my repeated experience.They need major improvement in both customer service and membership billing communication.
