The grooming service...did not cut my dogs hair..geve her a bath and charged me $100..RIP OFF..waste of money

I have been consistently taking my two dogs for grooming to this location for about 2 years. It's the most affordable I can find since I have two dogs whose hair grows very quickly and ideally they need cuts every 2-3 months. They are always done perfectly and look so nice! This time Ashley did both of them and I couldn't be happier. They are very active little guys and having them cut so short helps us to go longer between grooming and they stay cleaner. I made an appointment yesterday for today. I was kinda shocked I was able to find availability with such late notice, especially on a holiday! Dakota is an amazing trainer. When we were considering getting a puppy, we hadn't decided on where we would train them, but while in the store, we met Dakota and immediately signed up for the full series of classes. We sensed then that she would be really good and she has surpassed all expectations. The attentiveness she gives to our girls and the care she puts in as well as her natural ability to work with dogs is just outstanding. Other students commented similarly to us that we would love to have Dakota train our pups full time. My pups listen best when I mimic the "Dakota voice!" She's super fun to work with and is such a wonderful trainer. Feel like we truly lucked out! We also have taken our girls to grooming here and Ashley P has been super awesome. Our first visit the pups were only 5 months old and we just did an intro to grooming session. We didn't know what to expect but our girls did so well! We brought them back at 6 months for a full grooming and Ashley did great work with them. So happy with the services. Love that we can come here and see familiar faces! The prices are always higher than you can find online. With the occasional "sale" that brings them down to normal. Might be a legal issue with Amazon, I know they're responsible for price fixing goods and causing inflation, but as a fan of brick and mortar stores Im sad to see how much more we have to pay, usually 20-30% more at petsmart. read more

First, let's start with the negative. How are both bathrooms out of service ?!? Okay, now that that's out of the way. This is a traditional petSmart, the floor was nicely stocked. The employees on the floor don't talk to you unless you talk to them, however, the redemption factor here is Ricardo. I'm not sure if Ricardo is the Store manager, floor manager, supervisor or just the worlds happiest cashier, but whatever he is, he is AMAZING! I took my dog for a cut and they only trimmed around his eyes(not even on both sides) and told me that he got nervous about the cut, He is a dog! All dog get nervous! I took my dog in to get groomed for his 1 year old birthday photo session. I left specific instructions and even showed them photos. I wanted him to look like his breed. I washed him and fluffed him out and made sure that I took out his tangles to give the groomers no room for excuses. They did whatever they wanted to do and ignored my instructions. It looks like I took him to Supercuts!! He was butchered. I understand it is hair and it will grow back but I can never get this moment back, So I just wanted to tell others about my experience so they won't be disappointed. I wanted to write this review to share my experience. Rosemary is a woman that is usually there when I go to check out. Rosemary is efficient, knows her product! The store is large and the isles can be overwhelming. Rosemary has always guided me to where my products is located! I have often asked her opinion & guidance on how to use/apply my purchase..and this last time suggested I watch a youtube to further instruct me. What is the point of having a "yappy hour" no appointment needed grooming service if I can never get service? I've tried 3 times to take my dog and every time they turn me away because they're booked. Maybe don't advertise a walk in service if you don't have any availability. read more

For the last two appointments, we have received a phone call, within 15 minutes of our appointment time, that our groomer called in sick and they have to cancel and reschedule. The first time we were sitting in the parking lot and we told them we are not canceling. They took the dog in but I don't think they did a good job at all. The second time we were at home so we changed our appointment time. I'm sorry to say but this is very bad business. If this happens again, we will be searching for a replacement groomer. read more

I took my maltipoo to the Petsmart groomer for the first time and I will NEVER return. She has gone to another groomer that is unfortunately closed due to the pandemic. The customer service was great. The grooming itself was TERRIBLE. I'm so disappointed. I asked them not to cut her too short and they definitely didn't listen. I took my 8 yo Bichon in for a bath and haircut. She is well cared for with regularly grooming. I had detected a mat behind her ear and front leg and pointed that out. When I returned for pick up she had been entirely shaved except for a little hair left on her head. There was no phone call, no permission given. How does a bath and haircut turn into a shave with NO communication. I've complained to corporate. The store manager took no responsibility and insists it was miscommunication. I disagree as this was extremely poor judgement and customer service. I'm a retired RN and was a school nurse for 29 years. You always call the parent! I'm devastated and Angel is traumatized. The $63 was refunded but it will be months before her hair grows back. read more

Worst service!!!!! I was waiting in line for 30mins because the girl with a giant bullnose ring in her nose couldn't do a proper return. I was the first in line right behind the people trying to return something waiting forever with a little 3 yr old. They finally opened another check stand but took all the people standing BEHIND me!!!!!!! Shouldn't I have been first since I was next in line?? Then the girl goes sorry we are understaffed??!!!!! I came to stock up on our Vinnie's food and look at some accessories as well. It nice to enter the store and you are greeted when the employees are not swamped at the register. I had 3 employees within 5 minutes checking if I needed any assistance. I do appreciate that they walk around checking on customers and not standing in the corner chatting among employees waiting for them to be approached. Thank you many times for your outstanding customer service! So I had two friendly and patient employees help me search for the right accessory for our large dog, a mastiff. I could never figure out how to put the harnesses on. Vinnie is fitted and a purchase is made! The place is always clean and the employees at check out are always friendly. Worst place to visit. I went to get gold fish but employee recommended to get more expensive fish and she was pretty helpful and knowledgeable. The fish I bought didn't even make it home so went back to get another one/replacement fish. This employee didn't let me get a fish. She keep saying I can't get any fish since my fish tank is too small. She even said since we are closing in few I have to know which fish to get. To the lady in the fish department who had no compassion for me or my son who's betta died after only 2 weeks. I tried to replace the blue betta cause I didn't have the heart to tell him that his fish died. She asked me if I knew why our fish died, I'm no fish expert and if I knew I would have avoided it. There were 2 ladies unloading the new shipment of bettas that just came in. The older lady repeatedly told me it would take a while to go through the box to find what I was looking for. I told her I would wait, but after her telling me the 3rd time that it would be a long wait I got annoyed and left. I came in to get some stuff for my hamster and the first thing I see is a dead guinea pig laying in the tiny, overcrowded enclosure. I got the attention of an employee and she tried to assure me it wasn't dead, but I pushed her to check as it was not breathing and its eyes were open. Sure enough, it was dead. She had no reaction and didn't apologize to me or seem sad or anything. She just scooped it out like it was nothing. I'm giving 5 stars because Jamie did an excellent job grooming my dog. Evelyn who has been grooming my dogs moved but recommended Shelby because she trained her. I trusted that when I booked the appointment with Shelby (Evelyn booked the appointment) that I would get her. For whatever reason this did not happen and they weren't busy. This is not the first time I didn't get who I booked an appointment with. I will say that Jamie was amazing from the time I walked through the door, my dog was very well taken care of and I couldn't be more pleased! I can only hope that when I book the next appointment and ask for Jamie that I get her! read more

Well, this review is particularly for the Marron Location in Oceanside. Very unwelcoming location. I went there this afternoon looking for a male veiled chameleon. I asked around and there was no one to help, so I asked the cashier (a blond lady with not the most welcoming attitude) and she said "it's going to be a few minutes, since the person for animals is busy". Do they care for customer support? Anyway, I find the person with the animals and she was, indeed, helping quite a few customers all by herself, however, with the best attitude and showing a smile. Since she was so busy, I see a lady who just comes into the store, her name was Crystal (not sure if this is the spelling) a blond lady that far from trying to help the people waiting, got a cart and started doing something else. I asked if I can get help, she tells me that the other lady will help me. I say "I just wanted to know if the Veiled Chameleon you have is male or female, because I am looking for a male". She says "I don't know their sex" and I say "but you can tell by looking at the spurs in their legs". She then tells me "well, we can't open the enclosures, we only open them for purchases". ....... I was there to purchase! She didn't even look back, she continued doing whatever she was doing with the cart. So I stay there waiting for the main pet lady, who was helping another couple with some hamsters and I tell her "you are cool but the rest of the people here suck" and the hamster couple agrees with me (they were also looking for someone to help them for a long time). After a while while I am still waiting, "Crystal" comes with a flyer saying "this is so you know, for chameleons". I sounded like a joke, I own chameleons, I've seen that flyer a million times. Up to here I'd give the store a plain 1 star because there was no reason whatsoever to ever go back to that store ever again. I felt bad in every single way. But then the "pet lady" whose tag reads "CC" finishes with the hamsters and tells me that I am next, all this time with a big smile and very welcoming attitude. She helps me check for the sex of the chameleon and makes conversation about how awesome they are. I felt a lot better after talking to CC. I hate to write Karen reviews with complains, but I felt REALLY bad. And also, I think it's importat to highlight, in contrast how good CC was and the importance of a good attitude and good customer support. read more

We bring our dog here whenever she needs to be groomed . Bath and brush with furminator gets the job done. We usually ask for Christina because our dog does really well with her but yesterday Taylor H took on the job. Thank you Taylor Ocean came home smelling and looking like great!
