I only left a one star because I had to . This place is the worst ! I took my frenchie in for a bath and nail trim . I got my girl back and she seemed terrified and hurried out. Come to find out they trimmed her nails too short and now they don't grow back and are very sensitive to the touch. I told the store manager and she offered me a free service for the next time . A store worker saw me searching, pointed me to a better brand and helped me get rung up and headed out just before they closed at 9:00. Grateful for the stores who have done their best to accommodate during CoVid. PetsMart has continued to meet or exceed standards. The staff is still positive and friendly, the store still as clean as possible (keeping in mind peta are allowed and encouraged :) ) and the shelves have stayed stocked. Luckily, this location isn't far from home because it's the only place I've been able to find my pups food, in a large bag. Boy does he go through the stuff!! Glad to have such great people greeting us, maintaining cleanliness, adding safety measures and staying open. Hope to keep seeing new pets walk through on our visits. read more

This location has great customer service and the store is usually clean and well organized. The associates are very friendly, knowledgeable and can always point you in the right direction. I've frequented this location on many occasions and one of the perks of shopping in store is that Petsmart will honor their online prices so that you save even more money. Obviously, PetSmart doesn't have much competition in the Charlotte area, but you couldn't tell because they really do take care of their customers. The selection of pet foods and pet accessories is vast, they also have a dog training section that will help you get on your way to having a more well-trained pet. Another perk to PetSmart is the in house veterinarian, as full disclosure, I've never used them but I have taken advantage of their pet grooming service. The groomers in that department are great but I've gotten better results and better prices from a pet groomer that is in the Fort Mill area. My pet groomer does many of the services that my groomer includes for "free". So there you have it, real talk. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I am so disappointed in Kodak's haircut. Typically we go here and there's a guy that does Kodak's haircut and he's AMAZING. He takes his time, we don't have to tell him much! He just knows that we still want our dog to look like a COCKAPOO when he's finished. Obviously not this girl who did his grooming yesterday. I told her we wanted a level 2 and she asked about his face. I told her I still wanted his hair a little long. She said that she wasn't sure because of his hair being a little tangled by his mouth. I honestly didn't think that she was going to cut all of his hair off.... she obviously did not take her time with him at all.. she cut his hair so low that you could see his skin... why would you cut a cocker spaniel poodle mix like this? I didn't even recognize my dog when I saw him.... I'll 10/10 never come back here for a groom EVER..... They offer a package of end of life for 129.00 on website. So glad I called. They said he would have to see the vet and have a exam . The cat is 17 sick and going to be put to sleep. They want 400.00 dollars. Can you say rip off! They want to see what's going on with him . Wow amazing. read more

Overpriced always. As a professional trainer and pet caretaker, I spend a lot of capital mostly on equipment and toys (as well as pop bags, treats etc.) I didn't realize how overpriced they were until an excellent new local pet store in Fort Mill opened that not only has reasonable prices but will price match even on Amazon prices if you show them the same item on your phone. I've saved hundreds of dollars maybe more but in turn they now have a regular customer that shops at least twice a week not to mention purchasing the self dog washes. If you live in Fort Mill avoid big box pet stores and go to pet supplies plus! read more

I will never take my dog to any pets mart for as long as I live. I had a dash hound that lost the use of his back legs and his normal vet was treating him. His meds ran out while they were closed for a few days ( I did not know I needed to plan ahead or I would have ) I took spanky to pets mart for more meds just needed enough for 2 days but they refused and sed he needed blood work x rays and loves of other things. The bill just to start was going to cost over 700 dollars. I didn't want my boy to hert for 2 days so I sed just do what ya got to do I just need the meds. I even had all his paperwork from the other vet. Wasn't good enough for them. So after they ran a bill of almost 1000 dollars they still refused to give me his meds. Just low MG of tresodone. I sed they could shove there bill where the sun don't shine and called the cops. The whole time my boy was hollering in pain. I was so mad I could have beat them all for scamming me like they did. But I was holding my boy so I just set down and broke down he was so so bad. And they just sed there's nothing they could do. God will judge them when there time comes. I ended up finding some meds for him after a little while somewhere else costed me a whole 5 dollars I might add add. About 3 weeks later he was up and running again thanks to his normal vet. About 5 years later past away jumping up on a low couch going to his favorite spot he past in mid air he beat sevear heart worms lost the use of his back legs 3 times and yet he past spring threw the air care free and verry happy. RIP spanky. I'm so sorry you had to be in pain because of this place read more

I have mixed thoughts about this location. The employees are great and very helpful, the location is huge and pretty clean, and I've never had an issue in the grooming salon. However, the lines do tend to get pretty long and I would not recommend buying any fish as many of the tanks often have dead or sick fish in them. Of the three fish I have gotten from this location one died, one had fin rot, and the other had ick. So over all, if you need something that is not alive and don't mind waiting in a possibly long line this is the store for you. read more

I have a Chihuahua that was abused and her front legs were hurt so they did a great job clipping her little nails. One person held her while the other clipped so as not to put pressure on her front legs. They were incredibly nice about the whole process even when crunched for time. read more

We are new in the area and wanted to get our dog groomed. We have used PetsSmart and PetCo in California so when I made an appointment with them and asked if they needed vet/shot records. I was told that the stores in CA didn't talk to the one here so I showed up with a dozen pages of vet records for my dog detailing his shot and care record for the past nine years. They would not take them because they were hand written by the vet and not typed. I offered to connect them with the vet to confirm he was up to date but they refused to lift a finger. I guess if I wanted to I could "create" some records on my computer for them to simply bathe and cut my dog. read more

Omg. What a filthy dirty store. The floor employees were friendly while working hard. Not a single one passed me with out a smile,and a do you need help? But we were taking our dogs to the tiny little hole in the wall, they try to pass off as the grooming area. It is an hour and a half since we left the store and still have not recieved the call to bring the dogs in. Nor did the staff ever make an announcement requesting us to come in. Why you might ask..were they busy...no. understaffed...no, having equitment problems.NO.....The blonde girl was the poster brat of rudeness...not only did she not look up, ask the dogs names, nor did this lazy fool put our number that she asked for in the computer. There was one dog that was getting the finishing touches. We walked around the store for 45 minutes and went to the window to see what the delay was...blondie and a dark hair girl were sitting having a starbucks. Another taller dark hair girl was admitting other dogs and taking them to a back area. These girls were in blue smocks. The girl in the grey smock was standing doing paperwork.My kids take their 6 cats and 1 dog to the same store name but near Pittsburgh ,PA. They are wonderful, very busy, smile, make eye contact, actually put info in the computer.It is now 2 and a half hours and no phone call or text...of course blondie never put the number...for her I suggest intensive therapy, personality or charm school ,ethics in business,and a computer class...perhaps she could just restock the cleaning stations, that I think she would excel at. This grooming fiasco is disgrace and i am sorry for the floor and register emplyees that try so hard. But ultimately they got what blondie wanted. We left and that was her goal. My goal is to see no one take their animals there. Our regular groomer was closed today due to an emergency. We will now double her tip from 20%to 40%. She is worth every cent and has the starbuck gang to thank for her increase. read more

I always take my dog for grooming to Petsmart in Rock Hill, SC. I am very pleased with a certain lady named Linda. She does an EXCELLENT job in grooming my baby and treats him like gold! He is not a fan of being in a cage and I pay extra so he is an Express service and done quickly. I would recommend her to anyone. She is very compassionate and my dog loves her. Okay so this store is crazy dirty!! Like honestly it's a lack of caring to be honest. Pee spots, hair balls and full trash cans are just a few things you will be greeted by when you enter this store. I truly hope management steps it up or they hire someone who will, because this store is a great location. Now as fae as the employess it looks like 80% of them don't care and you can tell that by the way they dress. So I couldnt except much different when it came to the store. But dont get me wrong I have meet a few employess who I have high hopes for. The first being a young lady named Ariel. Ariel went above and beyond to answer all my questions. It was a super busy day and she made me feel like I had all the time in the world to help me. She found the perfect collar and made sure it was the right size before I even left the store so I must say she is perfect!! Next is Whitney, Whitney was so sweet in petcare! She made my sons day by actually pulling the snake we were looking at out of its enclosure and allowing him to get a handson experience!! Whitney made my son's day and a long lasting impression on myself. Next is Cory, I met Cory on Black Friday when I first seen him helping a customer load their vehicle. So inside I was looking for a certain Cat food that wasnt on the shelf so I stopped him and asked if by chance he had anymore in the back. After a minute Cory came and informed me that they did, but it was on a pallet that hadnt been unloaded yet. I told him not to worry about it I would come back next week, he said he didnt mind at all just to give him a minute. So we went to the back and I seen the pallet he was talking about and my food was literally at the bottom!! I begged him not to go threw the trouble, but he said it was not a problem and started unloading all that food just get to my bag. Afterwards he said he was happy to help and if I needed help to my car to let me know! He truly took the time and EFFORT to make sure I was a happy customer. I was beyond impressed at the work of these young employees and truly hope they make the changes needed at this store because their work ethics are outstanding and will be the reason I return. read more
