This is the worst petsmart in the area avoid at all costs! I walked in was not greated I was about to go to cashier for assistance when a male employee asked if I needed help I said "yes, I need to get some fish , he stated "the lady will be right over ", I said ok . After waiting for 15 mins and overweight white lady strolled by the aisle and just looked at me and said "The tanks are closed, those closed at 8pm", I said that's not what i was told upfront, she just waived her keys and ignored what I said I repeated my self I again , and she said " I know but it's closed " and continued walking. As I was walking the out I told the cashier you "could've said the tanks were closed when I asked for help !" And the cashier just ignored me and kept walking. Piece of thrash beings. Terrible cut, h was brushed before i brought him in. I only wanted a bath and brush and they insisted he had mats. Well they could have brushed them out , but shaved him and he looks awful!! They're just lazy and that's an easy way to groom them . Will never return read more

Just went to the gotcha event for my dogs, Xena, birthday month. The gentlemen running the table of activities was super sweet and made a pup cup for her to eat and got her paw print on a card for us. We have had her since she was 7 weeks old, she turns 8 on the 22nd. We have been coming to Petsmart for her baths, treats, accessories and toys. We will continue to do so. read more

This is for the grooming department .... I set up an appointment up for 2 of my Australian shepherds at 10am to be groomed automatically was told they wouldn't cut short they couldn't even bathe my dogs they called me up 2 1/2 hours later to come pick them up they were soaked and scared my boy dog is 98 pounds and strong and they tried forcing him around with a tiny skinny leash they don't know what there doing other dogs in there panicking and going through panic attacks the prior Friday when I went to set up appointment they only wanna do the tiny dogs I was upset because I took off from work to get them groomed they left me to find another groomer I found 1 right down the street took me in and had both of my dogs hair cut in an hour ......why's it take them 4 hours for 1 dog they leave them in the crate don't let out to use bathroom or nothing read more

We don't have a lot of pet stores around here. The selection of stuff is pretty good. My reason for the low rating is I bought an aquarium last weekend. I bought too much gravel, so I asked my husband to return the extra. Instead of refunding MY card- I guess there system can't do that without the card? They put it on his card. Any old card will do? "They just needed a card" Most big box stores like this can refund to your payment method without the card being present. If I had known they wouldn't refund ME MY money I wouldn't have had him go in my stead. Buyer be ware. read more

I took my dog for a grooming and the had to shave her, yet when I got home she was uneven and my family immediately noticed how some areas were longer than others. They also just did a cut and no bath for $135.00 plus a generous tip. I had never taken a dog for a cut and not get a bath also. Unfortunately I do not recommend this place. I feel that for $135.00 they could've done a better job and include a bath. Now I have to bathe her at home and take her elsewhere to get those areas fixed where it's longer than the rest. I have been taking my Labrador to the Sand City grooming location for years. Today I was rudely told that this would be our last visit. The only information she would give me was that my dog was very agitated and he is hard to get up on their table. The young girl said he was old and this would be his last visit. I'm ok with it being the last visit, I think she could have been a little more sensitive and a lot less rude. The other employee standing there must have noticed the look on my face because she offered a phone number for someone that previously worked on my dog. Looks like I will be moving on from Petsmart. Makes me wonder if some of them are in the right job. read more

No one to help in fish dept. Had to ask several times, still no one came to answer my question re: aquarium for purchase. Left and went to Petco. Tanks are full of maylasian trumpet snails. Dead fish decaying and floating. All fish appeared unhealthy, not that I would ever buy fish from here again. Any fish purchases have died within a short time. read more

I'd give no stars if I could. Been a customer for years and they could not read the paperwork from Nichols veterinary that our dog got her shot last June for rabies. Rosa the manager was not in today. She is always very happy to see us and helpful. Management needs to prioritize public restroom cleaning and repair. We came in to buy some stuff for our pups after a six mile walk. I try to avoid public restrooms but this morning I was unable to avoid it. What I found disgusted me. Only roll was on the floor, both trashes were overflowing and the soap dispenser was broken. During a pandemic it's a little clear they're worried about sanitizing so if the bathroom looks this bad it makes me wonder about their stock room and employee break room. I understand it's difficult to staff businesses right now but someone has to be getting paid to run this place and they're not taking care of what they should. NASTY. I went to Petsmart to ask for assistance on searching for specific food for my cat after not being able to find it myself, and when I went to the cashier to ask how I can find what I wanted, the man in the hat was just really rude. He told me to find it myself, and if it wasn't there then they didn't have it. But another cashier named Star heard me and she deliberately went out of her way and said that she'd help me find it, and she did! She was really kind and I really appreciate her customer service. very very very poor customer service and pet care, I'm on holiday from UK with my Pomeranian who is 12 years old . 2 days before we left UK he had his usual grooming session when we got here to US he was finding it to hot so I booked him in for a haircut first appointment was a shamble on the day of the appointment his wasn't even booked in, week later he had a bodged up grooming one side of his face was cut short and his nails were cut so short that it was bleeding. I make appointments online a couple weeks out and find it easy and convenient to use. The staff here is very friendly and they do a great job. I used to like having my dogs groomed here, but the service has gone downhill in the past year. They refused to groom my dog, saying she was matted last time I tried to take her in, then when I took her to another groomer they told me she was not... So I tried to give them a second chance and book for our second dog, who is easy to groom and they called me a few days before his appointment to tell me they are going to cancel it because "last time we were not satisfied with the service and that she was matted." The dog I made the reservation for is a boy, and we never brought him in matted or made a statement about being unsatisfied. Like I mentioned earlier, they refused to groom our first dog because of her "matts." So I don't see how I could have left feedback for a groom that didn't happen. Tried to call and clear this up with one of the workers, but they didn't seem to care. Not worth the effort at all. read more

This is for the Grooming department. If I could could give this place zero stars I would!! Took my 2 year old puppy there yesterday to get groomed including nail trimming. Huge mistake. When I arrived to pick up my puppy , 2 employees were present, one apparently the manager, both staring at their computer screen. One that apparently is the manager finally said: "can I help you?" I replied: "I am here to pick up my dog Henry." Several minutes passed when she finally said to the other employee:" Are you getting her dog?" No reply. Several more minutes passed till first employee finally printed my bill and asked: "you're paying first ore take your dog with you?" She is still sitting at her computer, no eye contact, no attempt to get my dog. So I took the bill, paid, and went back to get my dog. She ever so leisurely got my dog... it this point I was fed up with the rudeness and the unprofessional attitude of these two employees, I couldn't wait to get out of there. The atmosphere in this place is toxic, right down hostile. I will never set foot in this place again Oh and nail trimming wasn't done either, my 14 pound puppy was compared to a crocodile by the manager that not even 2 employees could control. Thanks to the grooming salon for taking our dog in after getting sprayed by a skunk the other day. It was so nasty!!! The gals took great care of our four legged kiddo! Why?!, because they simply price match chewy.com or any retail store local or online, but it does need to be the exact same item, which is totally fair, isn't that the best?! You want someething now and do not have to wait two days to get it. I have returned a few items that just didn't work with our dog and it has always been a breeze. Great customer service by far. It's always clean, well organized and spacious enough for two carts to go in between the aisles. You're looking for your pets' needs.. it's all here. Today a PetSmart employee spectacularly failed the basic human decency test. They were just chatting with another customer while watching me (a short not that athletic female) haul a giant 35 lb bag of dog food over my shoulder when one of my keys slipped off my key ring about 10 feet away from them they yelled "ma'am you dropped your key." Rather than pick it up to hand to me, they just watched while I struggled to bend down to pick it up while still holding the dog food and continued making small talk with the other customer. If I were any other customer in the store I would have picked up the key out of compassion for my fellow human being, but I guess this person couldn't be bothered. There were zero carts available despite the store not being crowded, which also would have solved the issue. read more

On September 14th, 2022 I took my five-month-old Yorkie in for his grooming session and one hour later they called me to tell me they took my puppy next door to Banfield Pet Hospital because "he" twisted his ankle and was bleeding. My dog did not twist his ankle and cut himself as they said. The groomer cut his paw and now he has a cone and bandage on his paw. They took no responsibility and just left my dog at the vet hospital. Thank goodness the vet there recognized Bailey and took really good care of him until I got there. Whatever you do DO NOT take your fur babies to this horrible, horrible place. They are not trained properly and most of the employees have bad attitudes. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I had a grooming appointment at 4:30 today. I live one hour and 10 minutes away. At 12:30 I received a call stating that there were a bunch of cancellations today, they were closing the salon early and I would need to be there by 2:30 at the latest to keep the appointment. I told them the earliest I could get there would be 3 - 3:30. They said this would be too late and they would close the salon before I could arrived. I argued with the manager for several minutes and they refused to do anything to accommodate me. Avoid at all costs. No commitment to their customers or pet's health. read more

This is a public service announcement for those who worry. The checkout cashier was coughing up a storm. A late 40s white guy. I did not get his name. Anyways he was coughing and coughing and coughing. Really??!!?! You pet him work????? If I was manager I would have immediately told him go home and don't come back in until you are not sick. I had over 100 dollars worth of treats. Told my girlfriend leave it on the check out counter we are leaving not getting any of it. Just leave it let's go. Shameful & disgusting. You should do weekly covid testing on all employees and daily temperature checks and any cold like symptoms should be go home. I will not shop here ever again. I am officially boycotting this store now. You try and kill me and we are done forever. read more

If I could rate them below I would I will never bring my pet here anymore I will look for other salons. Pets smart by the word of the manager at this location a tall white guy and salon manager short Hispanic male do not care nor do they want anyone asking them any sort of question when it comes to help. Their attitude and demeanor is not acceptable and pets smart as a cooperation needs to investigate. My groomer was not able to take a California required break because there was no manager around to help when these 2 were capable of assisting but either their skills are lacking or they just don't care. Due to this their groomer nice young lady was backed up trying to man the salon alone while these to were casually talking when I asked the young lady if she was ok she broke down and stated I haven't even had a lunch and I open mind you this is 4 pm now and they open at 9am. Totally unacceptable I approved both these men and they said not my problem. I will be contacting the EDD as Should each employee here that has to lie on their time due to retaliation of being fired for not taking a lunch which in California is against the law.
