Two weeks ago, my dog suffered a broken blood vessel in his eye due to a grooming harness that was not adjusted properly. While being dried, he attempted to jump off the grooming table. Although the groomer caught him, there was a moment when he was left hanging by the harness. As a professional grooming business, I would expect staff to anticipate that dogs may try to jump and ensure proper safety measures are in place. My niece picked him up and contacted me right away. When she sent me a photo of his eye, I was heartbroken. After I called and left a voicemail, an employee named Carla returned my call and initially stated that my dog had arrived with the injury. If that were true, I question why grooming services would have been performed on a dog with a visibly red and swollen eye. Later, after reviewing the video footage, Carla called back and acknowledged that she could see where the injury occurred. She advised me to take my dog to the veterinarian and stated that the expenses would be covered. I did exactly that and provided both the veterinarian's notes and my receipt. I only requested reimbursement for the grooming service ($100) and the veterinary bill ($125). However, the owner has since claimed that the incident was my dog's fault and has refused responsibility. If you love your pet, I encourage you to carefully consider this experience before bringing them here. My goal is simply to prevent another dog from suffering the way my Teddy has. PS-They don't deserve a single star. It's the lowest level you can select with Yelp.

Every single one we went to had the annoying habit of scheduling a boatload of people at the same time so when I show up with my pup, it was utter chaos and insanity. While the last two groomers all did a decent job on our fur baby, I didn't like that they only worked M-F and not Saturdays. I totally get that, I only work M-F and don't work Saturdays either, but taking time off on a weekday morning to take my pup in and taking more time off to pick him up is not convenient for me. Anyway, went on the Stockton Reddit thread and got several recommendations, and Paw Prints was one of them. I called on a Friday and had no expectations of getting an appointment for the next day and would have been fine with the following Saturday, but the owner, Jeanne, told me she still had availability for this Saturday. After explaining to her my issues with previous groomers, she told me it would be fine if I wanted to bring in my pup between 9:30-10, to avoid the rush, which I did and it was so nice because I was the only one there. Picked up my fur baby a few hours later and he was sooo handsome and adorable. It had been seven weeks since his last grooming (hubby was calling him Ragamuffin) and he looked so good! Other grooming places we've tried in the past never seemed to get her truly clean (Nala does not like water), but Janese exceeded all expectations. When my wife saw Nala after the appointment, she was amazed. Nala looked and smelled fresh. For the second visit, our Frenchie, Reese, needed a good grooming session. Janese did an incredible job. Reese came out happy, clean, and clearly well cared for. Janese really knows how to handle our dogs with so much love and attention. He even texted me to ask if I wanted to come peek at her to make sure I was happy with what he had done. Our dog is 57 pounds with poodle type hair so I know she's not an easy dog to groom but he did a fabulous job! My dog was kept there for over 4 hours with zero communication or updates about delays. When checked on, the staff seemed visibly frustrated due to being backed up & informed me there was a matted dog they were working on. I completely understand that however if you know you cannot service multiple pets or you've fallen behind, a courtesy call is the least you can do. Instead of the requested cut, Theo was completely shaved down, and his face was left sloppy with excessive hair around his eyes. My dog gets groomed regularly (every 10-12 days) & we all brush him regularly so there was no reason to shave my pet. When I reached out to express my dissatisfaction and request a refund, management admitted to scheduling mix-ups and promised to address the issue, but they have since completely stopped responding to my messages. Leaving a dog in an over-scheduled, stressful environment for hours only to shave him down without consent and then ghost the owner is completely unacceptable. Save your time and take your pets elsewhere.

She was very upfront with me during our phone conversation & let me know what she could & could not do which I was grateful for & respected. Once she arrived to groom my pomeranian I mentioned to her that my husband would like his enormous, greatly shedding, German Shepherd & her medium sized sidekick groomed next time I made an appointment and to my surprise she was ready and willing to do all three of them then & there. She added 2 more dogs to her workload & a whole lot more stink to her van all at once while being pregnant too. It took her about 2 hours and I couldn't believe the difference in our German Shepherd after having her de-shedding treatment! We had been battling massive shedding all year & no matter how much we brushed her it was a never ending battle so I was thrilled to see such a difference in just one grooming. It has been even nicer to not be cleaning up soccer ball size fur balls in my house every morning! I'd also like to mention that I read her Yelp reviews before calling to book an appointment & the reason I choose to call and give her a try was because of how awful a couple of people were in regards to her van. It really hit home because both my husband and I have been owners of multiple businesses & if our services & abilities were judged when we were fairly new based off of our equipment, we would have never gotten to where we are now because it was all old and well used to say the least. Everyone has to start somewhere & most of us aren't born with silver spoons in our mouths an a ton of capital to start state of the art businesses. I also know how very expensive a van equipped to groom in is to aquire. I've personally helped a couple of my employees open their own businesses (the same type I own) because I love seeing people succeed & build something from the ground up with whatever they can afford to start out & feel like young people with the ambition to start somewhere deserve a chance to build a business that eventually will give them the ability to upgrade their equipment. Bottom line is that I wish people would not be so judgemental of others based off of things that really don't change the service they are receiving. I'm confident that my dogs received the same groom in her older van that they would have received if she had a brand new van. It was frustrating to me to read reviews that said she did a good job on their pets groom but then proceeded to rip her apart for the age of her van - how does that even matter if the bottom line is that you were pleased with her services?
