    I was very skeptical about sending my dog there for grooming (we have all heard and read the horror stories), but upon a recommendation we took our golden doodle for grooming with Kylah. And it was amazing. He has seen her 2 times, in between he ended up seeing someone else and at drop off I left crying bec they individuals in there were just rude and talk down to us and needed to go home and try again with their day (just be a little kind people) but we decided to give it another try first thing in the morning with Kylah mainly so I didn't have to see the other people at drop off, and it was great. We were told she knows the doodles and she does. She gave our boy his first official short hair cut removing all that puppy rug hair and he looked very handsome.

    They have good product and knowledgeable reptile staff. We got enclosure for bearded dragon that included a lot of good items. Also bought our chameleon there and he is magnificent green. They have crickets and worms and calcium +D which I didn't know we needed. The most important thing we found helpful is the 3 in 1 light for our bearded dragon turtle and chameleon. So basically you get UVB+UVA+heat in one bulb. That's the best thing ever.

    Thieves! Nickel and diming THIEVES! Watch your receipt. They skim small amounts of money, in this instance $3.77, from you with their Point of Sale scanning system on their 'Buy One, Get One Half Off' promotions. Got two identical items for $22.99 each, BOGO1/2Off, $22.99 x 1.5 = $34.485 rounded up to $34.49 Got two more identical, but different from the above item, items, BYGO1/2Off for $7.99 each, $7.99 x 1.5= $11.985 rounded up to $11.99 $34.49 + $11.99 = Subtotal $46.48 Total w/sales tax, should have been = $50.08 Pet Smart, with their bizarre method of charging for this deal, and even more bizarre and belligerent attempt at explaining themselves regarding accusations of over-charging, charged me $53.84 Now, when I called to get an explanation of how they charge for this type of promotion, the young woman who answered the phone and gave me, arguably, the most incompetent and aggressively evasive explanation I've ever heard, had nothing but defensive, negative, combative attitude on the other end of the line. She was looking at the same exact receipt that I was and still failed to have anything that resembled a logical explanation for Pet Smart's method of charging these items. In the few minutes in which we spoke, she gave me, no joke, at least ten different excuses why the receipt was correct, even stating right off the bat that I didn't add the sales tax, when I hadn't even gotten an answer about the subtotal from her yet, and all her lame excuses pointed the finger at me, the 'dumb-as-a-box-of-rocks' and 'just born yesterday' customer, of course. She claimed that I was only charged for (3) items, so I really actually got undercharged, but she couldn't, or wouldn't, explain the math. When asked about the particulars of the BOGO1/2Off deal, as the receipt reflects, I was met with silence each time, followed by extremely fast talking in circles and nonsensical gibberish. When I asked for the manager, i know, a Karen move on my part, but this employee was as clueless and obstinate as they get, she informed me that she IS the manager! God help this store and anyone who patronizes it if that's true! After she denied passing the phone to somebody, presumably a real manager, who could explain this without becoming an emotional wreck, I gave up on her and simply stated that I'll never buy anything from this store ever again and will take my business elsewhere instead. To which she said, verbatim, "I don't give a fuck!" Yes, I know you don't. I knew this within the first 15 seconds of talking to you, miss. I weep for this generation, if this is the condition of a random customer service interaction nowadays with the Gen Z population! Just pathetic The Gen Zer 'manager' at this Pet Smart is an arrogant, incompetent, fast-talking, obstinate, poor excuse for a 'manager'. She can't, or flat out refuses to, do basic math to defend her position, speaks using foul language to long-time, cash paying customers over the phone and, apparently, her motto is 'The Customer Is Always Wrong'. My takeaway and passed along advice to my fellow Yelpers: Avoid this store if possible and if not, check your receipt before leaving the parking lot.

    They are always canceling appointments to reschedule for another day. It's a waste of people's time.

    3.5-4 stars I'd have to say that for being a mega store for all animal needs, Petsmart- the store itself has always delivered when it came to having the following items in stock: dog food, dog clothing, dog bedding, etc. I use the Dog Grooming services quite frequently for my puppy son, Mack Mobbin. Every time we come in the dog groomer gals are super nice and seem to really take care of my boy. He is finished within the estimated time promised and they call me 15 minutes before he is done, so that it's timed perfectly from when I arrive to him being finished. The customer service folks here are pretty helpful and actually take the time to answer your questions. I like how all the workers seem to be dog-lovers too.

    Shaved ears

    I took my doodle into the Ventura Petsmart for a routine bath and brush. They explained there was minor matting underneath the ears. They explained that they would only remove the necessary matted areas underneath the ears, and they completely shaved both ears entirely. He looks ridiculous. I spoke to the very rude manager named Ruby, and she basically threw me under the bus and and took the word of her groomer over my version. So the groomer basically lied to the very rude manager, Ruby, who would not offer an apology or any compensation for this terrible incident . Nor would she give me the number of corporate headquarters when I asked her for it . Ruby said if I needed it, I can look it up. I asked her nicely one more time If I could please have the number to corporate. She flat out refused and again told me to just look it up. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional management skills! So it basically went from one bad experience with the groomer butchering my dogs ears, to the very rude manager being disrespectful to me. I've been going here for years, but will never go back again.

I cannot begin to explain the amount of relief from anxiety training my dogs with Ricky has brought me. No amount of therapy could touch how I felt previously. I have learned patience, clear communication (with my dogs), and appreciation of the minds ability to change after years and years of ingrained unwanted behaviors. Ricky does not sell a one size fits all package - each of my dogs are VERY different, and while the fundamental approaches and concepts in training are the same - the method and timing in which we applied and reinforced these were vastly different. Ricky is able to connect with two leggers and four leggers alike - he gives clear feedback to dogs and human and uses metaphors that we humans understand (driving the speed limit and getting speeding tickets haha) on how the concepts of his approach effects dog behavior. I couldn't be happier. I am humble and I know I need to continue management (and one of my dogs I am holding to higher standard so we are going to continue our own sessions based on what I have learned) but my dogs are completely different. I'm getting complimented by family, friends, and people on walks - impressed with how well behaved my dogs are. I smile and tell them "thank you it's lots of continued hard work" and move along. This morning in particular we walked during trash pick up, had lots of people distractions, and both dogs stayed heeled and attentive to me on their separate walks. Do not hesitate to consider Ricky for your training needs. Also, if you feel alone with your dogs behavior - please know you are anything but alone. The fact you are looking at reviews for dog trainers is a clear indicator that you want the best for your dog and intend to give them them best. :)

The manager called me and didn't want to have the owners call me to let them know my experience so instead of doing that she now won't let my dog come to Doggin around anymore ? This was after a serious heart attack I had and boarding the dog for six days and paying full price They then charged a full day price for picking up the dog after her bath at 3 PM and here's the response I got from the company manager Diana. I would hope the owners would call to find out what's going on in there doggy daycare. Diana should really be fired. I wanted to follow up regarding our conversation and your review. I was disappointed to read some of the statements made about me and our team, as I feel they do not accurately reflect the conversation or the steps I took to address your concerns. When you brought the late pickup fee to my attention, I listened to your concerns and credited the fee back to your account as a resolution. I also attempted to explain the policy behind your concerns, not to dismiss them, but to provide context. My goal was to have a respectful conversation and find a solution. I was very much in disbelief of the concerns, and I respectfully told you, they're concerns that have not been brought up by many. But those are your concerns and feelings and I respect that and I gave you space to express them. During our call, I felt that the conversation shifted from addressing the concern into criticism of my intentions and my role as a manager. I took a moment to process what you were sharing because I wanted to respond professionally rather than react emotionally. I respect that you have the right to share your experience and request further review from ownership. Your additional concerns will be communicated to them. However, after reviewing the situation, we, along with ownership, have decided that continuing a business relationship is no longer the right fit, and you and your pets are no longer eligible for services at Doggin' Around or any affiliated facilities. Regarding your payments, any transaction made today will be voided. For any prior charges that require a refund, please come into the facility with the card used for payment so we can process that refund. I'm sorry that after four years this is where we have arrived, but we believe this decision is the best path forward.
