As a board member of the rescue mentioned in Francesca G review and a very active part of said…read morerescue, I feel the need to correct some misinformation left in that review. Dr. Mann and his team have always gone above and beyond for every single dog and cat we have brought to them in the 3 years of our rescue partnership (well over 100 animals). Whether it was a simple visit for vaccines or a middle of the night emergency, they have always been professional and polite. We can always trust Dr Mann to "give it to us straight" without sugar coating that animals condition. His staff has cried with us as we have made the hard decisions of letting a dog go to the rainbow bridge. They have taken their personal time to escort medical fosters to events and to just get them out of the office for awhile. They have celebrated healing and adoptions. Their staff has even adopted from our rescue. I wouldnt trust any other vet in the area with my personal pets. I am in this office multiple times a week and interact with all of the staff. Francesca's review is not based on truth in any way and we are embarrassed that her and her mother have gone out of their way to damage the reputation of such amazing people.

I am writing this review to share my experience with Springfield Veterinarian and Dental Clinic…read moreregarding the treatment of my dog's ear hematoma . When I first brought my dog to the clinic, the veterinarian agreed to treat the condition and recommended a course of treatment. Over the course of three visits, my dog underwent two procedures and one surgery. Unfortunately, instead of improving, my dog's condition continued to worsen after each visit. As a result of the unsuccessful treatment, I was forced to seek emergency care at another veterinary facility. The emergency veterinarian determined that additional intervention was necessary and performed a fourth procedure. In addition to the physical discomfort and prolonged suffering experienced by my dog, I incurred significant additional veterinary expenses that I would not have expected if the condition had been successfully treated from the outset. Based on my experience, I believe the care provided by Springfield Veterinarian and Dental Clinic fell below the standard I reasonably expected for the treatment of an ear hematoma. The repeated procedures did not resolve the problem, the condition worsened over time, and I ultimately had to seek emergency treatment elsewhere. Pet owners considering this clinic should ask detailed questions about treatment options, expected outcomes, and follow-up care before proceeding. Unfortunately, my experience resulted in additional costs, additional procedures, and prolonged suffering for my dog.

Can't say enough wonderful things about this center. Our 22 lb rescue needed a mast cell lump…read moreremoved. The cost at our local vet ranged from $2,300-$4,600 depending on complexity and biopsy options. I contacted Providence after a neighbor used them for dental surgery for her two pets. Providence communicates mainly via text. They do so quickly and efficiently. They provided their email for her medical records and we were scheduled for surgery within weeks. Including a donation the total was $650 and the care was excellent.

Recently, we adopted 2 stray kittens in 2020 and got them desexed here at Providence. All is well, they're healthy cats! Another round of stray cats we adopted was last May 2024, again desexed here. All good. Those strays had kittens (happened before we adopted them) and they are now old enough to be desexed as well. My six cats are happy and healthy. Our regular vet is not Providence, but Providence has been a great resource for spaying and neutering far more affordably than our family vet. I will pay for ER vets and surgeries, tests, etc. as needed for my pets, but for something like a routine desexing surgery, there is no need to pay inflated prices, and going somewhere that does it so routinely assures they are well practiced. During desexing exam, it was determined that one kitten had a tooth infection. Providence told us he had a fractured jaw and that a snaggle tooth was the only thing holding his jaw together. They needed to put a wire in his jaw for it to properly heal. Poor baby! We had taken him to be looked at by UrgentVet in Wayne, and they said there was an infection but completely missed the BROKEN JAW! Anyway, Providence healed him and he's a new cat! We've had positive experiences here and appreciate the text communication (they don't do calls) from the vet side of things. They may take a day or so to reply, but they always do, and we were given more thorough & intelligent replies than we get from our regular vet. Providence puts heart in their care, I have confidence in their capabilities, and I would recommend them!

My dog was acting lethargic and not himself after he was groomed. He was having stomach issues and I took him to vet afterwards . Not much done at vet until results came back which were negative. The culprit was not found and we believe he ingested poison. It is just so funny that once I brought him home from this place, he did nothing but decline and was acting very strange!!! He passed away today. Beware of this place. It should be closed as no one should go through with what happened to us. When I gave the owner a call to tell him what happened, he accused us of lying and hung up on us. Stay far and be aware.

The first couple of times I was optimistic that maybe it was a fluke. This week my husband picked my dog up and she was 5 different lengths! Her stomach wasn't touched, no sanitary trim, her tail wasn't trimmed, I specifically said no beard she had a beard. And they didn't even clean up her pads. But the owner was kind enough to try and remind us how old our puppy was and that the next service would be more money because she was turning 1. However he was 3 months off. He continued to argue with my husband.

I was told she had a tooth infection and a double ear infection. I had them administer the injectable antibiotic (that didn't change her condition and I had to get an oral antibiotic at the follow up appointment) I was told, 'she doesn't have fleas but she should be on a flea med'. I said, she's an indoor cat. Dr. Brown said, she can still get fleas. Needless to say, I rejected the $147 90 day supply of flea meds! Notice I didn't mention the doctor prescribed anything for her eye. I took her back 2 weeks later for a follow up appointment and her eye was the same. Dr. Brown ran more test that were negative and then said, there are cat ophthalmologist. If she didn't know how to treat her initially, that's what she should have said. The following day the staff called for a follow up. I had researched things online and asked a question. I was told, I'd have to bring her back in for a follow up to have my question answered! WHAT?! It was a yes/no question AND she was just seen by the doctor the day before. A money grab. I do not recommend them. Proceed as you chose.
