My pet is regular visitor at PetsMart Salon on Yagnacio Valley Road, and always had a great full service. I had an appointment on August 3, 2020 with Julie B for Bath-Brush and additional for nail grinding. After 4 hrs , I was told over the phone that nails could not be trimmed. I was OK with that, but when I picked him, he had lots of hair still shedding, so she went and grabbed brush to try to do some brushing in front of me. When I brought him back in the backyard, and brushed again for 30 minutes. I was surprised to see the amount of hair filled a cardboard box. I am disappointed that he was not brushed at all and just may be washed from a distance. This was not expected from at least Pets Mart. See picture of hair after grooming at Salon. So glad PetSmart grooming came close to our home! We have always had good grooming here! All the groomers have been super. Gentle Autumn does a great job on Ben, who is a senior half cocker/half golden with a bad leg. When she's not available, we were still happy that other groomers are also gentle and have done a fine job! They are honest also - the first time our nervous Joey (a huge mutt) went, Joey didn't allow his groomer to brush his teeth, and the bill was reduced to reflect that. read more

I bought two hamsters here a while ago. The employee came over while I was looking around and offered to help. He let me handle the hamsters, which I was not allowed to do in previous stores I have visited, and helped me pick out the ones I liked best. The information he gave me was extensive and offered tips on taking care of them that I was not aware of. read more

My dogs Bailey and Spencer Have been groomed by Autumn since the store opened. She is one of the most amazing groomers I have ever had care for my dogs. Recently Bailey had to be put down at 16 years old but Spencer is picking up the slack at 14 years old. Autumn is personable she remembers the dogs she remembers personal information about her clients. She is one of the kindest most caring animal moms I have ever seen. Kudos to you Autumn read more

I have taken my golden retriever to this location and Concord several times. I'm not sure what happened, but the grooming department completely shaved her. It was supposed to be a wash and Ferminator treatment. My dog came out looking like a yellow lab. All of her feathers gone! If she wasn't on chemotherapy, I would deal with her hair growing back much better. It's been since October and she still doesn't look like her old self. I'm just amazed that the grooming department screwed up this badly. Petsmart really needs to train their employees better. read more

I cannot believe the way that I was treated here. Completely and utterly disappointed. I will make sure to never shop here again. I called the store at 8:50 PM, to confirm that they closed at 9 and told them that I would be there soon. Once I arrived at 8:58, I went up to the door and got the doors shut right in my face by another employee. I asked her, "hi, are you guys closed? It's 8:58." She then opened the door and turned to the people inside and asked, "there's a customer.... what do I do?", as I stood right there. A name with a name tag labeled as "Mike" came up to me and asked very rudely, "what do you need?". Which was none of his business in the first place. I then politely responded with, "I am just getting a few things for my cat.". He then continued to ask me over and over again, what kind of things? What do you need?". I finally asked Mike why he was speaking to me that way and he became defensive right away. During his speech, I walked past him into the store while he babbled at me and asked me to leave and I told him that I would make sure to tell the manager that he spoke to me that way and how awful his service was. I then walked over to the car isle, took 2 minutes, grabbed 3 things, and walked over to the cashier to get checked out. Before leaving my father who I was with said, "have a good night sir." And he didn't not acknowledge him whatsoever. I was just trying to go to a pet store to buy a few things but I guess I will never shop here again. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE FOR GROOMING. The lack of professionalism and upfront transparency surrounding their process is unbelievable. Despite having read other negative reviews I decided to give PetSmart a shot and booked an online appointment. Upon dropping my dog off we were told it would be a 3 hour wait, this felt a bit odd but it did seem quite busy. I showed back up after 2.5 hours in the hopes that they would be done a little sooner and was told that it would be another 3 HOURS. I was told that even with an appointment groomers are assigned 3 dogs to groom per hour. I wasn't told this upfront or informed that you could pay extra for an expedited option. I never saw this information on the website either while I was booking. This is a reckless and unsafe practice that puts both the dogs and the groomers in an unfair position to move too fast and I assume the dogs are held in cages for long periods of time as they wait. I didn't feel good at all about how the dogs I saw were being handled and opted to take mine home without getting his haircut (he had already been bathed and prepped). For not much more money there are a multitude of other dog groomers/salons that will give your dog the individualized care and attention they deserve in an often stressful experience. Our sweet senior dog has been anxious and distressed since this visit. I never write reviews but folks should know about this horrific business model. read more
