I took my Havanese here today and this is truly the final time I will bring my dog to this location. The groomer did a horrible job with my dog's face and body. The area around the mouth is completely uneven with one side longer than the other. His entire body is cut uneven as well. I was going to go back and have them fix it as soon as I noticed it but why bother? The customer service is decent but the grooming has always been inconsistent, there have been cuts on the ears and I've never left PetSmart thoroughly satisfied. I took my 15 year old toy poodle to be groomed a couple of weeks ago. The groomer said she was too matted for her 20 inch blade. She said she'd try. I was halfway home when she called me saying she couldn't do it. I said I'd try and she told me I wouldn't be able to. She did have a couple places that looked matted on her hind quarters but hardly any. She had shaved 1/2 of my dog and said she wouldn't charge me but that it was PrtSmart policy not to groom a dog they deem too matted. I gave my dog a bath and low and behold, the so called matting was completely gone! I have a private groomer coming to my home because I want someone I can trust. I was appalled at the PetSmart groomer's handling of my pup. I also told her Bella had warts. I've never had a groomer say she couldn't groom my dog because of the warts, but this groomer said she couldn't see them. I am not the type of person to leave negative reviews, but I feel in this case people with small elderly pets should be forewarned before they take their pets to this grooming practice read more

We signed up for a training class at the Wesley Chapel store (Petsmart) These people are so incompetent and unprofessional. The Ghetto Diva ( Jacob) did not have any record that we booked a class with him. He told me that his manager Steve did not inform him that he had a session at 3pm. He does not know how to talk to people nor does not he knows how to respect customers. I won't recommend this place to anyone, safe yourself money and more importantly the inconvenience to deal with such unprofessional people. read more

Took my chow chow for a bath and cut. I must admit she was very dirty because she is an outdoor dog. I let them know this. I received a phone call several hours later telling me she was ready. The groomer then stated she did the best she could, that my dog was not very cooperated. She stated they were very busy and did not have anyone to help her with my dog. When I get there the first thing, I notice her hair on her tail was completely cut off. I all of the 15 yrs of having her groom no one has ever cut all of her hair off her tail. And they would ask if not sure. The second thing was her face and under her neck not done. Neck and legs were cut uneven. That was the second and last time I will go there or recommend anyone to go there. read more

The employees were RUDE! I've never had an encounter like that with that many flat out rude employees at any establishment. The only nice one was the male manager and I didn't catch his name. They were extremely rude to me and my daughter and were conversing so loud you could hear them around the entire store and we were in there for at least 30-45 minutes. When we went to ask them a question they all looked at each other and smirked and answered our question to such disregard of their title as employees of pet smart. I mean they're there to help customers with questions about their fish and when we asked we were treated like we were a burden the there apparently too important conversation. Once we turned around after being given the snarky answer they started mumbling much quieter like that wouldn't let us know they had something rude to say about us, when we were as polite as we could be. We continued to look around and they kept glancing at my daughter and continued to giggle and make rude comments that I could hear and so I just deflected my daughter attention to a different department, she finally decided she wanted a fish and I would get one too because we both really need a pick me up and a little buddy because we've had a really hard time with family passings recently. So I went to the back once again to ask the people at the fish counter if they had test strips the manager had JUST TOLD US after we purchased them to go get for free so we could test the water when it gets ready in the tanks. I walked back there and my daughter didn't even want to at this point and they were all in their little side room now still loudly talking like there isn't a half of a foot gap at the top of that door that their sound is barreling out of. I waved for them to see me to ask for the water testing strips and they rolled their eyes and just went back to talking, so I took the initiative to knock on the little door because I was just ready to leave at this point. Then I was met with the door slinging open and a "YES?" and I said I had just came back here to get some water testing strips and she cut me off right there and said are you testing the water here because if not you have to buy them, so I bit my tongue and told her No, the manager had just told us that they had free testing strips back here for us to be able to take home. And she responded with OH! The manager with the glasses and I told her yes he had been very kind enough to help us, and she folded and gave me the testing strip while slamming things around and being angry that she couldn't tell us no and sends on out the way so she could continue her conversation. After I said thank you she walked back into the room and just said "Oh my God" and they all started giggling and laughing again, keep in mind these were not teenagers these were more late twenties and older girls acting this way. I'm very grateful the manager was there and very helpful and was able to teach us more about the fish which no one else was willing to do. I've never gone out to simply be rude and I'm glad I'm teaching my daughter the morals to be the same way, That at the least was a learning experience for us both. At least we know how not to act because it did nothing but made them look very unprofessional and rude, and ruined our mother daughter day that was supposed to make us feel better and try to forget about what's going on in our lives. Moral of the story is always be kind and courteous to everyone, you never know what they have going on in their lives and being ugly is never a good trait to have especially as an employee. read more

After a weeks wait for the groomer I take my 17 lb cocker spaniel for as simply wash and brush . The groomer tells me his ears a matted . No less than they always are so just cut them down or brush out . She then tell Me me go to vet to get his ears cut . ‍. That they cannot groom him . This place is horrible for grooming . If you pet is not perfect LU groomed before you bring them then I suggest finding another groomer . They use to have a groomer named Tina . She was excellent and has since retired. We have been extremely pleased with the care that our furry family members have received at this PetsMart. Dr Klink and his team were wonderful during the end of life care of our 14 year old dog, and now throughout the care of our new puppy. He is ultra professional and kind, pays attention to the details and takes time to provide the best care. We couldn't be happier. read more

if I could give a negative review star I would. the grooming department is horrendous. I've brought my multiple dogs there to cut nails they go sorry they wouldn't let us cut them. took my dog to get washed and he's been there for 3 hours and all they've done is brush his teeth. absolutely terrible never taking any of my dogs back ever again. read more

Second and final visit to this awful groomer. They said that the dog was 'kennel digging', therefore they couldn't cut the mats behind his ears. Horrible, inept staff - attempted to scold us the first time we brought our other dog there months before. They claimed that she was 'pooping' and so they couldn't cut here hair. lol. I hate this place. Our groomer in our old neighborhood literally cut both dogs for YEARS. These guys can't get out of the gate. I can't stress how terrible the 'service' is. read more

I was just in the Petsmart picking something up and stopped to watch the pups being groomed-poor dog. The woman who was cutting this cocker spaniel type dog looked like she absolutely hated her job and she was taking it Out in this poor dog. He kept moving his foot bc obviously it was bothering him and she kept yanking it back in place and rolling her eyes. She obviously didn't know anyone was watching. Bring your dog there if you want inexperienced, inattentive, careless "groomers" to cut your dog and have him bleed all over the place and the salon "manager" tell you "it happens" and here is some paper towels, can you help clean up so the other customers don't see what we did...oh and we won't bother telling you what happened or apologize when you first come in to pick up your dogs, here's the bill, pay first then we'll tell you what happened only because we can't get the bleeding to stop and we got your money. I'll be bringing my dogs to a professional who knows what they are doing first and foremost and knows what customer service means, unlike this place. read more

I've taken my dog to be bathed here twice and have her nails dremmeled as well. The people are super nice and do a great job! It is a smaller store so not as much selection as far as toys, beds, etc. But they will order online and ship to you so the friendliness definitely makes up for that! Great service!! read more

So this is my third and final bad experience with PetSmart. My first encounter was terrible customer service in the Savannah, Georgia Pet Smart on Abercorn... (Leaving without my dogs being groomed after I booked an appointment) I wrote a lengthy letter about my experience and never even got a response! Next: I moved, and took my Akita to the Monroe, NC on 74 location in September for a full grooming and furminator ... great experience... but, I called back there to ask some questions and they tell me they have 'Storm' in their system, but have NO record of her ever being there... seriously? I always have an issue trying to book an appointment on your site something always times out or freezes or goes back to the home screen, so I have to call to make an appointment, which I did after the very same thing happened to me earlier in the week. I spoke to a man who said it was due to me having two accounts, so he merged them... then he booked my appointment. I had told him that we recently moved to North Carolina and while I've already been to the one in Monroe, I wanted to book at the location in Wesley Chapel as it was much closer. I was very excited that I was finally going to drop my dogs off to be groomed today. I set my alarm for 1:15, when it went off I started getting my dogs ready... collars on, bella's papers in hand, dogs were over excited about a car ride that makes for a stressful experience. I knew I had to stop at Banfield to pick up Storm's records, The place was crowded with people and pets! getting to Banfield in the back with both dogs was a pain in the @$$! I got her papers then proceeded to the front of the building where grooming was located and everyone looked at me puzzled. They were unable to find my appointment! I have the email! I opened my phone and went to the email... Only to see that it was for the Wesley Chapel, FLORIDA location! AND they're booked! sooo... I have no choice but to leave with my dogs and come back home. I have no more days off before Thanksgiving! My dogs will not be ready for the 20 people I have coming! I'm very disappointed in the company... I give people a lot of chances, because I know that people make mistakes and that one person doesn't make a company. But when something goes wrong at every visit, then I take the time to write and then don't even get so much as an apology for the experience... I have to believe that you don't value me as a customer. maybe I don't spend enough there each year. I will find another groomer, I'll buy my pet food at other retailers and I will also find another Vet to see my dogs. I am beyond frustrated with your business. Their home office set the appointment, but all the people that had a chance to change the experience from a negative to a positive did nothing... including the girl that I called to complain to when I got home today. I absolutely love hamsters and my hamster has recently died. So I went to get another hamster of the same breed (Russian dwarf hamster) and i had checked online to see if they had it in stock and they did. At the store it was available at, I didn't see the breed in any of the glass containers so I asked the attendant there. First of all, she was extremely rude, sighing at us and acting like we were idiots. Ok, whatever I'm still gonna get my hamster even if I have to put up with her. She told us that a "winter white" hamster was the same exact thing and so we trusted her and got the "winter white". So we got the hamster home and settled but, she was taking an awfully wrong time to warm up to us. Now, after having a EXTREMEMLY SOCIAL Russian dwarf hamster, I knew something was up when our hamster wasn't acting "right". I looked it up a month later to find that they are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. The only similarity about them is their fur coat and it's not even that close because a Russian dwarf hamsters "changes colors" based off of temperature! My hamster (winter white) is antisocial and smaller which is not good for my family! Russians are more calm and bigger for my little sister to hold. I almost never complain but, I cannot believe how wrong the attendant was and didn't give us anything we needed when we came in! She could have at least been nicer to us especially when we even checked online and was prepared, which was less stressful on her right?! read more

I have a fish tank that is 8 months and had some problems with the ammonia level. Over the last 2-3 months, I've gone into the store to test the water 3-4 times, which is still not ideal so my son cannot replace the 3-4 fish he lost over the last 8 months. My gripe is that every time we go into the place and ask for advice on bringing down the ammonia levels, we get contradictory advice. One person recommended a $12 powder, which another person told me later was only for saltwater tanks, not freshwater so...I had to buy another powder for $10-$14 in hopes that helps. One person told me to do water changes every week, while another said that was stressing the fish out so only do them once/month. Trying to be patient but it took less time to cycle the tank before adding fish in the first place. read more
