During that time, no one from staff checked in with us, which made the wait feel even longer. When we finally asked a manager for an update, her response came across as dismissive. She mentioned a private dining group and said she'd ask if we could be seated there. Meanwhile, we noticed open tables in the main dining area that seemed like they could have been pushed together, but we were told that wasn't an option. After being seated, I politely asked the manager if they might consider offering a couple of appetizers on the house given the long wait. She said she would check with the owner/chef, but when our waitress arrived, we were told "no" without any further explanation. That said, I do want to be fair--the food was very good. The steaks were cooked perfectly and seasoned very well, and the rest of the meals were also very good. Once we were seated, the service itself was prompt. It's just disappointing that the overall experience lacked communication and a bit of customer care. A small gesture could have gone a long way. Because of that, we likely won't return--but we will say the food is great, even if the service and communication left a lot to be desired.
