I got the Raleigh, a cheddar, roast beef, and horseradish on a buttermilk biscuit with the horseradish on the side. The horseradish was creamed, like a mayo almost, but tasted strongly of horseradish, so I'm glad I asked for it on the side. My husband got the Chapel, a fried chicken biscuit, and added cheese and egg. My husband raved about it, saying it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches he had ever had. We also got the mocha, decaf. It was great, like they melted dark chocolate into the espresso. We got a biscuit and gravy too, which was good but not as impressive as the rest of the meal. I can't believe I haven't left a review for one of my favorite spots in Denver. What better than now? I've been to Rise & Shine multiple times since visiting and now living here. It's a place from North Carolina. I've never been to NC but I'm glad they came to us. It's a quaint and delicious breakfast spot that specializes in biscuits. They've had some unique flavors in the past such as parmesan, black pepper & sea salt, Italian herb, etc. They have premade sandwiches you can order from the menu but I make sure to create my own. Without fail, I will get the biscuit of the day, egg, honey and a hash brown in mine. And make sure you get the hash brown in there, not just on the side. AND CANT forget the honey. It's adds the perfect amount of sweetness. Their biscuits are fresh and amazing every time. They just really have the consistency down along with their other location near Wash Park. I came here for a quick breakfast on a weekday. It wasn't too packed. The is small and cute. On warm days there is a nice back patio to sit outside. This is a good place for a date, to catch up with a friend, or to come grab some breakfast, and read a book. I love the abundance of North Carolina pride! All of the biscuits are named after NC cities, and they have such a cute logo, featuring the outline of the state and the Colorado state flag. As a transplant, I can respect loving Colorado but also acknowledging your roots. Biscuits are great! The Chapel Hill chicken biscuit was my fave. Epic hangover breakfast sandwiches/biscuits! After a bender the night before, this was our first stop in the morning. The coffee and pastries are decent, but of course, everyone comes for the biscuits. I was able to try the Raleigh (roast beef and cheddar) and the Chapel Hill (fried chicken), and both were HUGE and hearty. We all have those days, right? ;D Anywho, he loved his sandwiches and I LOVED MINE! My BOTD was an Everything Seasoned Biscuit. It was firm to the touch, yet perfectly pillowy inside. It's flavor was exactly as listed with a slight hint of butter (a big win for me! #butterlover). I had the choice to have it as is or to build a sammy. I opted to build a mighty biscuit sammy with egg, bacon and havarti cheese. It was everything I was craving before our hike (see photo for reference). There's a ton of other options, though. For example, I could have just gone butter and jam. Or, I could have asked for gravy. Or, I could have done all of the above and some. Or, I could have just opted for the pre-made biscuit sandwiches. There's 6 options with all different proteins. It's impressive! We had a really mellow and cool man helping us order who happily guided us through the ordering process. It was early so definitely nice to see a warm and inviting face. The inside has a few tables to sit at, as well as, a cozy couch. The secret seating gem is their outdoor patio. There are a few tables in side to eat and limited seating outside. Sometimes the line is out the door but it goes by pretty fast. They have a rotating biscuit of the day that you can track on their website. Which I've heard their Gouda biscuits are the best! Okay- so I was in a rush and was skeptical about going here @ first cause like... it sounds like a sit down restaurant right? Sort or? Also got the cinnamon roll biscuit with frosting (which is extra - my only critique is the frosting is really small but honestly you didn't really need that much) the cinnamon roll was exquisite, flaky and crisp and soft on the inside, and the sweetness from the frosting was peak! Didn't get a picture of the cinnamon roll cause it got devoured too quickly. My partner got a basic breakfast sandwich on the biscuit of the day- which seems to rotate... love the idea... scared to fall in love with a biscuit of the day for it to never come back. They serve 2 types of Biscuits: a Buttermilk and a Daily Special. Today's was Parmesan. I ordered a Hatteras: a Cinnamon Roll Biscuit ($3), with frosting (65¢). It was awesome a different kind of Cinnamon Roll then I usually get, but it was just as good and better than most. I also got a Charlotte Sandwich with Egg on a Parmesan Biscuit ($6.55). The Biscuit itself is quite large, not huge, but generous. It is super light and fluffy. Much better biscuit than the other biscuit place in town, in my opinion.
