The "business" side of the business is frictionless, run by Ian who knows that it means to provide services to customers, but he also truly has a dog-owner's heart. Unfortunately, within the last year, our dog has been seriously injured twice during grooming appointments. The first incident resulted in a neck injury requiring an emergency vet visit and multiple stitches. Most recently, he suffered another grooming injury near his knee, again requiring hospital treatment, stitches, pain management, and nearly two weeks wearing a cone during recovery. Beyond the emotional stress of seeing our dog in pain, these incidents have also resulted in approximately $2,000 in veterinary expenses. While we understand that minor accidents can occasionally happen in grooming, two significant injuries requiring medical intervention is deeply concerning. It also appears there is frequent turnover and changing groomers, which raises concerns about consistency, training, and experience levels. Our dog is gentle and has been groomed professionally for years. After these repeated incidents, we no longer feel confident about the safety and quality controls in place. We hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves grooming supervision, training, and accountability so that no other pet has to go through this experience.

I texted Posh Pets and they were great about scheduling a time, arriving on time and making my puppy feel comfortable. Given the hazardous condition, I immediately disposed of the damaged items to protect my pet's safety. I provided photographic evidence to the retailer but was informed that a refund would only be considered if the original items were returned, despite their unsalvageable condition. The retailer's refusal to address the issue initially and their policy of not providing refunds for defective items appears unreasonable and potentially violates consumer protection laws. Our dog has a really, reallllllly tough time getting her nails clipped. And yes, she will use her teeth if she feels she has to. Our vet charged us FORTY dollars for a clipping the last time we had an exam, and they didn't even get all of her nails! For forty bucks and a room full of puppy pros, I'd assume you'd be able to handle clipping my dog's nails - but that is a review for another establishment. ;) Knowing all of this made it tough to take her anywhere... most places wouldn't even attempt it. I read the reviews for Stinky's about doing nails for dogs that are, let's say... persnickety. That sold me... I had to give it a try. In order to get this job done, it took 4 people. Me, my husband, Jo-Ann, and her assistant... but, it DID get done. And my dog was fine - all nails neatly trimmed, no other muss or fuss. I've been trying to find a reliable dog groomer in Boston who doesn't charge an arm and a leg, and I've found them! Super professional and efficient. I was running in between appointments and needed them to watch my dog for an extra hour and the staff were super accommodating and understanding. A bath and cut for my dog was about $120 which is an amazing and totally fair price. My dog has been having a lot of mats but the groomer did a great job at untangling and de-matting. My Scottie came back smelling fresh and looked super happy. I was told he was a good dog and had fun playing with the other pups there (which is unheard of due to his r reactive personality).
