Peña Blanca was absurdly good, definitely one of the best spots nearby. I recommend it to anyone; it just hits differently than other restaurants in the area. 12/2024 We travel to Aguadilla every year and Peña Blanca is always my favorite stop. We've been here for birthdays and anniversaries and each time is better than the last. The service is TOP NOTCH. The staff is always attentive and for non spanish speakers, the staff speaks English too. This restaurant was such a wonderful surprise and a great experience. The attention to detail the servers the ambience and the music were all superb. I had stuffed red snapper with shrimp that was not to be believed. My partner had a pasta with chicken that she could not get enough of. The flavors were wonderful. We just had to try Peña Blanca during our trip to Aguadilla. Our tour guide highly recommended this restaurant and told us it was the best restaurant for fresh seafood in area and while the price point was a little higher than the prices in the surrounding area, it was surely worth it. The restaurant was clean and air conditioned (thank fully) and everyone spoke English so it's tourist safe. We started with ceviche with fried plantains which were delicious! Tasted fresh and clean and paired perfectly with the plantains. The passion fruit smoothie was refreshing and tart! I almost drank the whole thing before we got our food. We waited a while for the food (over 40 mins) but I'm sure it's because we were their first customers of the day. It was worth the wait for me since the food was good but if you're in a time crunch I would reconsider this option. Now, the dishes. We ordered two meals, the churrasco relleno (stuffed skirt steak) with rice and beans which was delicious and tender and the La Peña which was mofongo with seafood and the most delicious cream sauce you could ever had and they were both outstanding. I can't get over how delicious and fresh the La Peña was. If you LOVE seafood please please give it a try! It was the best mofongo I've ever had, PERIOD! If you're debating on trying this restaurant out, don't hesitate and just do it! My only regret was not trying out their tres leches and having a second stomach to try their other dishes. read more

While in Puerto Rico this week, we ordered take out and everything was amazing. The Churrasco Alfredo with penne pasta was delicious. We also ordered the cod fritters (Bacalitos) and side salads. We will not order the side salad again. Not because they were bad, but because they weren't worth the price. $10 each $30 for all three and they were very small. We do recommend the restaurant for eating in and take out and will eat there again when in town. read more

I did experience a very minor issue with my food., my beans on my dish was served as a side. The bowl was hot at a very perfect temperature but to my surprise when I took a spoonful of beans it was almost ice cold. This leads me to think it was microwave. I informed my waitress she quickly removed my bowl and provided me a replacement. Again, sadly same issue. It tasted great but I like my food hot both inside and out. After coming from San Juan, we googled this place out and we have 0 regrets. This place was super cute, dim lights, music was soft not loud at all, and the food... was out of this world. We ate everything, it was so delicious, the flavors of the dishes are beyond words. The best fish tacos I haven't eaten, they were so crispy and flavorful. We ended up going the next day for just drinks and dessert, not sure what the dessert name was but it was cheese cake filling, deep fried with vanilla ice cream. It was so good. This place is built for the tourist. Salt, cream, butter, salt. Went there really hoping for some nice authentic Puerto Rican food because the reviews were good, but the food was very disappointing. The service was nice, and the place itself is very pretty and very clean, but it felt like a tourist trap. The portions are large, but out of our 5 dishes, all but one were cold, and just tasted like low quality food-- not worth the money. The shrimp stuffed red snapper was actually pretty good, but it was the only decent meal on the table. The side of veggies and mashed potatoes were also nice, to give credit where it's due. I can't stop thinking about the mofongo. So delicious. Great flavor and a large portion. It's yuca with chunks of pork drenched in Alfredo sauce. I did not expect to like it but it's amazing. The chicken breast and tostones was delicious. As for service, it was great and our server was so nice. The place offers indoor and outdoor dining. We chose to sit inside because there were stray cats around approaching the tables. I love animals but not at the dinner table. Childhood trauma - we had a cat who would notoriously jump on the table and steal your food. lol! As for parking, there is street parking steps from the door. The reviews hype this place up and I traveled 30 minutes to try it out. The service was slow. The food was nothing special. The restaurant was clean but crowded and the staff seemed too interested in socializing with each other rather than providing excellent service. I do not eat pork and I stressed this food preference. I asked many times what had pork and what didn't. I was assured certain items did not have pork only to be served a meal sprinkled with large pieces of pork! I waited 35 minutes for appetizers and 50 minutes for dinner only for it to be prepared with pork. I sent it back and i suspect they scraped the pork off the top and sent it out again. I was nauseous the entire next day. I would not recommend this restaurant because there are so many treasures on the island that provide wonderful food and excitement service. This place can be skipped to save money. It's expensive as well. read more

As it's our first time in Puerto Rico, the bartender, Pamela, was incredibly sweet in recommending us food and drink options. Not pictured is the fried cheese with guava sauce. Since we're not big fan of alcohol bitters, Pamela recommended we go with lime in the cocktail. We ended up ordering two of the spiced rum!
