I wasn't highly impressed by the pants selection on the day I came, but I later found out that they get different shipments in on various days. Like a couple days after I went, my friend said they got a bunch of high end clothing that came in, but it was too late for me to stop by one more time before our trip. Sad. I ended up buying a boarding jacking that I didn't love, and subsequently ended up returning. I also got some socks and gloves, that I kept. SoCal had finally been blessed with rain this past week and for that reason, everyone, including myself, was in a rush to make it up the mountain and enjoy the fresh snow until it lasted. As a result, PF McMullin, being a snowboard & ski shop it is, was very busy during my first visit there. But make not mistake, this store takes COVID very seriously ensuring that the staff was wearing masks while also limiting the number of customers in the store which made me feel at ease the entire shopping experience. A plus is that all the staff members were super nice, patient, and helpful from when I walked into the shop until I made my transaction. I visited PF for my first time to accomplish one mission and one mission only: to buy snow goggles. Knowing nothing about goggles at all, I walked up to the cashier and asked it he was knowledgeable about which goggles would best fit into the criteria I had in mind and he presented several options - even allowing me to see the product itself out of the box before purchasing. Thanks to him, I was able to make a quick decision and purchase the best option all within 10 minutes. Easy peasy! They also have items that fit different price points and usages so I strongly recommend asking the staff if you're not super sure which items are the best fit for you - I'm sure they would be happy to help! Went here for snowboard and boots rental which was only $30. The employee was very friendly and helpful. I was in and out pretty quickly. Unfortunately due to the new COVID lockdown I was unable to use them, so I brought them back the next day. They actually refunded me 100% since I didn't use them. Such a kind gesture! The service at this ski/snowboard shop is fantastic! Every person that I spoke to was kind, attentive, and helpful. Because I live a bit far from the shop, they offered to wax my board immediately so that I wouldn't have to make two trips. They also checked over my board to see if I needed anything else tuned up. I was in and out after about 15 minutes, it was only 15 dollars for the waxing, and the person waxing my board also was willing to walk me through how to do it myself. I was so grateful! I didn't buy any gear when I went, but the shop seems to have a great selection of gear, and I will definitely return when I need to replace my old board, bindings, etc. read more

Came here a couple months ago to get new snowboarding gear for the season. My girlfriend recommended this place to me since they had pretty good deals and dairy priced stuff. We went a little late, 20 minutes before the store closed, and there was a line to get in. Because of Covid, they business is limiting the amount of people that can be in the store at the same time. When we finally got in, there was only 10mins left before the shop closed. I didn't want to rush my purchase, but I also didn't want to leave empty handed. I ended up purchasing a black and green anorak outerwear jacket. I was worried that it wouldn't be that great since the water resistance was only 10k, but to my surprise it did its job of keeping me warm and dry. The day at the mountain was also warm so that helped too. All in all I'm happy with my purchase and will be back if I need any other gear. read more

Went here to rent a snowboard/ boots. All the guys were really cool and helpful. They taught me how to put on my boots and were fast. I got in and out within 10 min. It cost me 30 per day. I picked up my board on a Thursday afternoon and had to bring it back by 1 that Saturday. They do put a $450 hold on your card just until you bring back everything. Very hard to find. I knew where it was but still had a difficult time finding it. The building faces east on Edinger but PF McMullins is on the southwest corner of the building. I attempted to rent skis. The staff that helped me was really nice but when I told him the boots were too small, he assured me that his vendors say that's the right size. The problem is, I wasn't done adjusting my foot on the foot measurement guide before he took off and grabbed them. I told him I've been skiing since I was 12 and know when they're too short. Instead of hearing that and responding accordingly, he said he'd been skiing since he was 2 (he's probably about 17 years old lol. I'm 51). Not sure why my statement was a competition to him. Anyway, we went somewhere else and found exactly what we needed. I have a friend that's done well renting snowboarding equipment there but maybe skis are not their area of expertise. read more

Terrible return policy, tried to return a pair of snow pants purchased 10 days ago and they refused to accept the return because they had been washed. The inseam on the pants was too tight and wasn't noticable until after being used once. Pretty ridiculous they wouldn't accept a return for a reasonable issue. read more

Dust are everywhere, which I was expecting cleaning should be done to the board, i didnt bring in for just waxing. Makes me wonder what includes in "tune up"? I was looking for a place to adjust my bindings to fit my new boots and left my skis there for a few days. Turns out my boots were just a few millimeters away from fitting the way my bindings were so I was going to need to get them redrilled. Unfortunately this place didn't have the equipment for the certain bindings that I had, but the staff there was so awesome about it. They helped me out by calling a bunch of different stores in the area to find out who did have the materials to do so and directed me there. (Which they totally didn't have to do) And they offered me tons of different solutions for what I could do. Jack was super awesome and helped take good care of me. He was so kind and helpful!
