Great Selection of Boards--Even Used! HB has a ton of surf shops. I like coming in here just to look around. It is pricier than others, but you can save time by coming in. Plus, everything is pricey near Main Street. My board is old and beat up like me. It might be time to buy something new. Maybe even a hybrid or fish tail. I brought it in and let them know about the situation and said it would probably be ready in the 5-10 business days. But it was ready in 3 days, just in time for Hawaii!!! The repair looks awesome. You always have to be sketchy about surf shops, but this is top notch. From the first paddle out, I knew that Pat knew his stuff. I ended up on a board that does ballet, and I've never been happier. A friend of mine told me to check out this surf shop. He said they had good deals and they were cool to deal with. I went in to see if I could trade in some old boards and look for a new one. They told me they had a one board trade in policy that seemed understandable. I was looking at their WTF (Wide Tail Fish) and they recommended that I should ride that board 8-10 inches shorter then your hight. I'm 6'1" and they said a 5'4" board should work. After riding it a few times, it took a little getting used to. I normally ride a 5'10" CI New Flyer. I still felt that the board was about 4 inches to big. I had to ride it to far forward and there was still to much volume. I went back in to see if there was anything they could do about getting a shorter board. I delt with Pat the shop manager. He was super nice and friendly about getting the right board that worked for me. I told him about a friends board that I road that was similar to the one I bought. Pat traded in the original board I bought and made me a custom board. We talked about the dimensions that would work best for that model. I couldn't be happier with there customer service and what they were willing to do for me. I highly recommend checking this shop out. read more
