That is just how AWESOME Linda is as a professional nail technician. I wish I had before and after pictures of my feet when I began going to her. Love this salon. Been here twice and I love it! Too bad it is so expensive or else I would make this my regular salon! My first gel manicure lasted 3 weeks without chipping! (Got in December) Went back 2 weeks ago and while a little disappointed it started chipping around the 1 1/2 week mark it wasn't that bad and it was only a little bit on 2 fingers so I'm not too unhappy. I normally don't write reviews, but this one was necessary. I can admit, I was 20 mins late due to a previous appt running over which was out of my control. I came to this location because it's a bit closer to me than the Williamsburg location. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Williamsburg location, but if you're looking for an actual pedicure where someone actually scrubs your feet. Skip this place. After she passed the foot file on my foot about thrice, I noticed she was prepping to paint my nails, so I asked her to revisit a particular part of my heel and she says she can't. I'm in the fitness industry, so I put my feet through a lot. I ask her why, and she proceeds to ignore me. I honestly didn't have it in me to go back and forth as I was expecting a relaxing experience and I didn't come ready for these shenanigans. Go to the Williamsburg location or prepare to have your emotions played with. Won't be returning here. read more

Desperate for a little pampering, I visited pH7 with my 10-wk-old son on a quiet weekday morning. I was blown away by the level of hospitality; the manager helped me get the stroller up from the curb, and my nail technician (Betty) was totally unfazed when I needed to take a break to soothe my crying baby. Beyond that, my gel manicure is beautiful (the selection of colors is amazing) and the space is chic and relaxing (with stylish furniture and cool music). Very nice staff but my eyelash extensions are not as expected at all. It was my first time getting extensions, which I repeated several times, and asked for a very natural lash. What I received was a very sparse and heavy black long lash (my hair and brow are medium brown with some greys). The technician was very sweet, but she clearly did not speak english as a first language, which perhaps was the issue. I do not believe this is her fault, but perhaps the salon could have provided an interpreter to make sure I would be satisfied that all my concerns would be covered. Unfortunately, I wasted a lot of money for a very haphazard result. Make sure you have a full consultation before getting extensions here. read more

Eh I've been here 3x and I always tip really well (like 50%) because I just get a basic manicure and eyebrows, but I've never gotten great service and i wonder why. It's a great looking space but the atmosphere is lacking. Never know where to put my bag. Was never offered a drink, which I thought was weird? Maybe I was asking for the wrong thing but usually my manicures have a nice hand massage and not just rubbing lotion in. I was running late for my appointment due to train delays and had another appointment back to back. They not only accommodated me late but did a beautiful job and a fast polish that miraculously dried in 2 minutes as I was headed out the door. If you're black don't bother showing up without an appointment. Even though there were multiple appointments online I was told the next appointment wasn't until 7 PM. Another black woman told me she was told over the phone that there were a lot of openings around this time (5/5:30 PM) that is until she showed up. It is easy to relax in the serene atmosphere of this non-traditional nail salon. The seats are comfy, there is a large selection of non-toxic polish. At the start of your pedicure you are offered water or tea & and after a while you realize there aren't noisy electric dryers buzzing around you. Manicurists carry basins of water to your seat instead of traditional plumbed in foot baths and they concentrate on their work rather than trying to upsell services. All of this factors in to the sense of calm surrounding you while you get a pedicure or manicure. My pedicure was excellent, which it should be at the $45 price tag.
