When I first started coming my nails were barely above my skin, and now they are so long people think they are fake. Shayla not only does a fantastic job on my nails, but also keeps them strong and healthy and knows exactly how to take care of them. I desperately needed a pedicure and noticed they have a special Monday - Wednesday (just wanted to note). The reviews seemed good enough and I was pleasantly surprised! The salon was packed and one person was waiting before me. Always a great sign imo. I walked in and waited less than 15 minutes. Didnt catch the name of the lady who did my pedicure but she was awesome! I chose the regular producer for $39 and she was very thorough. She scrubbed the callous and took her time. I didn't feel rushed at all and I also didn't feel like I was sitting too long. They also give a quick shoulder massage while you dry your nails which is a nice touch. Out the door, everything cost $46 which isn't bad for the city. I have to note how lovely she painted my nails too. She didn't overpaint - I've noticed some places have been doing three coats of color - yikes. They had about six pedicure chairs and maybe eight for manicures? I didn't get a manicure but one thing I noticed and love is that they keep the services separate. It makes it feel so much nicer. There's also a few spots to park in a private lot - super convenient. The manager is further refusing a refund and not believing my experience. I understand protecting your employees, but when they're literally forgetting gel top coats... that's a hard sell. If I could rate 0 stars I would! Literally this is the worst pedicure I've ever had - the technician was sweet, but was definitely not qualified or trained enough to be giving pedicures. I had to walk her through the pedicure process, she forgot to even put gel top coat on one entire foot, and cut all of my toes unevenly and scrubbed so hard she left micro-tears in my foot. She had these super long acrylics on too that limited her mobility and made the service take 2.5 hours! Also, the bowl didn't seem clean and while they claim to use OSEA products, they don't and actually use the cheapest products you can get from the cosmetology store. When I approached management about a refund, they mentioned that she wasn't fully "trained" and still working on her certifications and just started a week ago and they frequently do this as their business model. While that's fine in theory, it should be disclosed and at a reduced rate (I was charged $105 pre-tip). If I wanted to go to a student, I would've gone to a cosmetology school for $40. The manager said she'd get back to me and after countless calls, she never did and I had to dispute the charge on my card. Save your time and money and honestly go to ANY other place for a better experience.

The staff worked at a similar shop in Humboldt Park and I was a client for 7 years. One day I had an appointment and unfortunately the double and triple booked me. After taking off my polish and having me sit in the bowl for an hour - I had to leave. When I left the male tech chased after me and tried to force me to pay for a full pedicure but they hadn't done anything but sit me in water. When I refused, he spit at me and I never went back. Fast forward now, I moved and this is the closest shop. I didnt recognize them at first so I went twice. The third time I came in and they were busy I said okay but they were very rude and when he took off his mask I recognized him. I proceeded to write a review warning people about this incident. I wrote a review. I felt bad so I came back to do a small service, the same guy who spit at me confronted me in front of all of the clients.
