Found this place on Yelp and since I just moved to the area figured I'd try it out before my vacation! It was so easy to make an appointment on the phone, I was able to get one the same day. Once I got there, the service was fantastic. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating since it was my first time there. Every nail tech I was with was so friendly. I will say the aesthetic and the vibes are great. The pedicure chairs and foot rests are unfortunately just not for me, they were kind of uncomfortable and made it hard to relax. Even though my nails looked great as soon as they were done, they chipped within the first week of my vacation. I had gotten no chip gel polish on my hands and feet so that was disappointing. I've been coming to Juko weekly for more than 15 years now. It is absolutely the best place to get your nails done in Chicago. They're pretty busy and it can be hard to be seen if you walk in without an appointment, so I recommend calling ahead. The owner, Okcha, is extremely caring and personable. She makes an effort to learn every client's name and ensure everyone is happy with their services. The techs are all great, and I've seen most of them considering how long I've been coming. For the last couple years I've been seeing Ana regularly, and she is so fun and personable in addition to giving great manis and pedis. Ina at the front desk is the absolute sweetest person you will ever meet who has a smile on her face and is there to ensure everyone is comfortable. The drink fridge is always stocked, and they have multiple polish brands in any color you can imagine. I don't get nail art, but I have seen others walk out with amazing designs. i just love juko! i drive in from the north 'burbs to see my fav nail tech, irina. she gives the best pedicures and my feet feel terrific each time i see her. she is meticulous with color application, filing and callous control. i have a spa pedi, with a callous treatment add-on, especially during the winter months. the salon has a cool relaxed feel, tv with no sound, and/or occasional music. the pedicure seating is comfortable, spacious and super clean. i am always offered water before my service starts. color choices are huge with orly, opi, and others. it says alot about this salon that even with a broken leg, i'm getting my first pedicures again @juko. read more

The best place in the city to get nails done. I love Juko. I also love the vibe. It's warm, relaxing. Women are laughing. Some quiet. Some working. Some just watching TV. It is just so chill. I've been coming here on and off for years, and have often gotten a racist vibe from the receptionist. I brushed it off, since the receptionist's accent is clearly not American, and the services are good. Today, she scolded me for objecting to being left "soaking" without an update on when my late service would actually begin. Either this receptionist is unprofessional or dislikes my skin color/ethnicity. This establishment should be clear about who is welcome as a customer and who isn't. Super thankful they squeezed me on such a busy day. I was traveling in Chicago when my nail broke and i needed it fix for an event. Tatiana did my gel color removal and manicure. Angelica fixed my broken nail with a Gel tip and finish my color. I can't even tell which one is the gel x nail. Even though they squeezed me in their work didn't feel rushed at and they were gentle. I recently moved closer to Division St so I decided to find a nail salon close by. Juko had great reviews and is super close to my new home, so win win. The prices are very competitive with other salons here and they allow tipping on a credit card, so no need for cash. My first appointment I had Gabby and she did an excellent job. I got a no chip mani/pedi combo. The pedi is still going strong after 3.5 weeks. My nails were still holding strong at 3 weeks, but I needed a refresh on my nails because they grow a lot faster than my toenails. My second appointment I had Brenda and was very pleased with her as well. She was very nice and efficient since I had to get my no chip removed before starting the new manicure. Overall the place is very clean and the staff are friendly without being overly talkative. They play a movie or show in the background. Really love going to Juko. It's my girl friend's go to nail place, and I have to say, it's great. Service is really friendly and they know what they are doing. Haven't had a bad experience yet. Tresa has been going there for a long time and swears by them. It doesn't hurt that for no extra charge you can get a glass or two of wine while your nails are getting done :) Also, there are some great restaurants nearby. Oksha has done a wonderful job setting up to make both customers and employees safe and comfortable. Very glad to be able to come back with T for an hour or so of relaxation and a glass of wine. I recently chose to visit Juko after seeing such rave reviews on Yelp! I treated my mother to a Mani/Pedi for her birthday and was very warmly received by Oksha the hostess at the front door. I perceived that she is amazing at running the salon and runs a very tight schedule to best see all clients so be on time. Being first time clients we received temp checks and were oriented to the facility. They followed COVID19 safety guidelines. After choosing a color we were escorted to our prepared pedicure stations and introduced to our nail techs, Brenda and Ana. All three of these women were so lovely in hosting us and offering a beverage during our service! Brenda and Ana provided amazing pedicures and manicures and were so attentive the entire time! I was treated to my first manicure and pedicure by my daughter-in-law. I was visiting from Missouri and their wedding was the next day. The owner took me in, showed me the nail color selection (so many colors to choose from). They seated me with a sweet young lady as my manicurist and the adventure began. I was treated to a very relaxing morning. My visit was on the 29th of April and my polish is just now needing to be redone on May 20th. I enjoyed it greatly and the staff was very friendly. There were a lot of great things about this place but unfortunately I think my nail tech just wasn't the best. I loved how clean it felt - everything was sterilized and they have glass in front of each station to separate you from the nail tech. They offer drinks (wine!) and have a great selection of colors. I got a gel mani and reg pedi. The service was good though the massage maybe lasted 5 seconds. Where they lost me was the filing on my nails and the polish on my feet. I asked for square with round edges on my nails and got the literal opposite. The nail tech also cut the sides of my nails for no reason so they were super round which is my biggest manicure pet peeve. The filing of my toes were fine but the polish waz awful. I'll probably try this place again with a different tech but not a great first impression. read more

I have been a client at Juko for over a year now and love them for SO many reasons. Their receptionist Wes is always welcoming and accommodating - and brings me wine so that's an obvious win. They have a good selection of nail colors and always have the latest OPI collection (featured in my pic!) Services are top notch- I regularly get a no-chip & pedi. I've seen Maria, Brenda, Angelica, Ogi... love every one of them. My most recent no chip literally lasted 4 weeks. I usually never go that long but with a 4 month old + COVID I very strategically choose when I'm leaving the house. What I appreciate so much and had to leave a review for was their response to COVID. I've been in 3 times since their re-open. The facility is so clean and staff pays attention to detail when sanitizing. This placed used to be wall to wall SLAMMED before COVID and although they are still busy it's obvious they have cut down their staff members to keep capacity controlled. They also have plexiglass at every manicure station which is the only reason I'm back to getting manis. The atmosphere seems great, the color selection is pretty good and the place seemed clean. The woman at the desk was incredibly nice and was able to squeeze me in pretty quickly when I called for an appointment. Everyone seemed to be really enjoying their manis and pedis, but I unfortunately had a kind of rude tech. She seemed annoyed anytime I asked her something, and she was incredibly short with me when she spoke. When it was time to paint my nails she would smack my arm up or down when she needed me to adjust, rather than communicating verbally. At the end of my mani I didn't get the nice warm towel everyone else got, she simply stood up to clean her station and quickly said "you're done." I can put up with a rude experience if the finished product is great, but for my nails to already be lifting less than 3 days later is disappointing. Love this salon! I booked an appointment through yelp message & it was pretty easy. Right when I walked in I was warmly greeted, immediately shown the polish choices, and offered a drink. Another thing I noticed is how close the staff seem to be, which created such a friendly environment! There are tons of color choices (for both no-chip and normal polish) so try to come with some colors in mind if you're indecisive/get anxious about choosing the right color like me haha. The staff were super accommodating though and saw that I was taking a while choosing, and my nail tech quickly swatched both colors on my nails to let me decide which one I wanted- which I really appreciated! My nail tech Brenda was super professional & meticulous. She asked me about my preferences for shape and length, took care of my cuticles, and checked in with me throughout the appointment to make sure I was happy with how it was looking. I'm generally not one to frequent nail salons, but needed a no-chip mani pedi for my wedding the following weekend, so I took a look on Yelp, Juko was in my neighborhood and had some great reviews and decided to book an appointment. Upon arriving the staff was in incredibly friendly. I already knew what I wanted but couldn't find the right color, they noticed I was having trouble and asked if it's for a special occasion, and as soon as I said that it's for my wedding they immediately began trying to figure out a way to bring my vision to life! My wonderful amazing nail technician went above and beyond to hand mix the EXACT color I wanted and flawlessly painted the simple, yet particularly tricky design on my ring finger, my nails turned out even more beautiful than I had imagined!! Ok I will preface this review by saying my nails look nice but my overall experience I was left a tad disappointed. I had always heard amazing things about Juko over the years and can't believe this is the same place friends told me about. Things that were nice: Polite staff to welcome and offer you a choice of drinks (wine, water, soda). Nice clientele who seemed to be enjoying their time TV to watch some shows/films Things that left me feeling disappointed: The pedicure area. Hands down one the the most uncomfortable seats, foot soaking basins, and wood slabs to put my feet on. I don't think I've ever experienced such discomfort at a nail place. I like going for the most exfoliating and extra massage type pedicures so mine are likely twice as long as a standard pedicure. My back, butt and legs felt stuck in an uncomfortable position the entire time. I'm nearly 6' tall so maybe they made and measured the stations for shorter people, I'm not sure. Nail polishes looked old. I was convinced of it after the Neil technician brought another color from another brand and told me it was new and not clumpy like what she used on my feet. Aside from the nail tech telling me I had big feet (like her teenage son ha! I'm not making this up!) she did a fine job but never asked my shape of choice and I notice my feet were all rounded (ugh). Meh whatever it was just these little things and a sore back and legs that put me off sadly. I so wanted to LOVE it and was just bummed. $80 for a spa mani and spa pedi were worth it for the services just so uncomfortable sitting there. If you go I would bring your own polish too. read more

I had a lovely spa pedicure from Anna. She was careful to avoid a recent injury on the bottom of my right toe while doing a great job of sloughing off the insane amount of dead skin on my heels. I've looked for comparable salons and it's almost impossible because at Juko all the things come together to create the best experience. 1) Quality: Zula is my girl. She is SO good! I can actually tune out and not worry about the shape or the paint job. She takes care of my feet no matter how gross they may be, she gives me some fun nail art, and she's just so sweet. They replace polishes when they run out and have so many color options of various brands. 2) Through and through they are such nice people. Oksha makes me feel SO welcome whenever I stop by and her kindness is actually genuine. The guys working there are super attentive from the moment you arrive to the moment you check out. 3) It's fun! Even when I go alone I feel like I'm there with a group of friends. First time visiting and it definitely won't be my last. I came in for a reg mani / pedi & the lady I had was great, she took her time and was very precise with cleaning up my cuticles. The massage was a good amount of time too which many places skimp out on that part these days.
