I bought a secondhand Z1000 motorcycle in 2023. I am a motorcycle enthusiast but not a mechanic- I…read moretrust repairs to people who do this for a living. I am also a firm believer in supporting local businesses, so I brought my Kawasaki to Powerhouse. I requested a tune-up, air filter, and oil change. Aside from the fee, I left a tip hoping to establish a good connection with the owner. One year later, in April 2024, I brought my motorcycle again to Frank for oil, filter change, and tune-up. One month after the "service", the mirror needed to be replaced, and a minor oil leak, as per Frank, required fixing. After a couple of days, I picked up my bike. Frank told me: "You would not believe how dirty the oil was"! I replied, "Frank, do you keep records of what you do? I paid you to change the oil less than one month ago." I got on the motorcycle to go home. After one mile or so, the hot oil busted out of the engine and started to splatter all over. I quickly returned to the shop. Needless to say, I was angered by the events. Without commenting, I left the motorcycle with Frank. A couple of days later, Frank called asking me to pick up the motorcycle. He was irritated that I could not pick up the vehicle that very day. During our tense conversation, Frank tried BLAMING ME for his botched "repairs" and his evident neglect. He also said that he "would not charge me this time." I mean, how much more arrogant can one be? At the end of the exchange, I gave him a piece of my mind, and he apologized. Fast forward three months, I took the motorcycle to a trusted mechanic in another state. It turned out that the air filter, for which I paid twice, was never changed. The filter that we took out was at least 10 years old. I doubt that the oil was ever changed because it was as dirty as can be. This story is very troubling and should serve as a warning to Frank's future customers. I was not only cheated but literally, my life was endangered because Frank didn't care to take the vehicle for a test ride before giving it back to me. I have photographs and videos to back up my claims. I hope you are reading this, Frank. I told you I was a photographer. You should have been careful, not to mention honest with me.

I love my 2010 Kawasaki Z1000 bike after re-tune at Powerhouse Motorcycles, getting better mileage, runs smoother and more predictable now and finally no more occasional popping sounds on deceleration! Very quick service, took him only 2.5 hours from start to finish to re-tune PCV module on dyno while I was waiting in lounge area. Definitely recommending to my motorcycle friends, will come back!

In dire need of a moped helmet, I pulled in to browse around (I hope my folks don't read, but at least I'm practicing safety first!). Also, from all the super nice ATVs lined up outside, I couldn't wait to see the rest of their bikes, jet skis, etc. To be completely honest, I was a little hesitant walking in, as I sort of expected a tough sell on price points beyond my budget. I only say this based on my previous experiences at car dealerships, but what I experienced at Maximum Motorsports was nothing of the sort. I got to browse literally the entire store without anyone looking over my shoulder. All of their employees are super chill and down-to-earth yet very knowledgeable and are around if you need extra help. Shoutout to one of the managers, Tommy, who noticed me looking a little lost and confused in the helmet section (what an awesome inventory, by the way!). Without any pressure whatsoever, he really helped me narrow down some options based on my budget, own personal preferences, and riding styles. He even searched in the back to locate an amazing helmet that happened to be on clearance sale. He scored me such an awesome deal off the original sticker price that I was able to purchase some great riding gloves and even an extra part that I needed for the fuel tank. We shared riding stories and even showed me a couple of photos of his own personal builds. I love meeting people that are passionate about what they do, and Tommy definitely knows his stuff. On the way out, I took a liking to one of their 2023 Kawasaki bikes, the Z125 PRO. With end-of-season discounts and rebates, it was only about $2,500 or so. Such a great deal for such a beginner-friendly yet fun modern bike! I don't quite have the space, but it's definitely on my radar down the road. It's an easy 5/5 from me!

Danielle who did my loan paper work was a nightmare. Spent the hole time telling me how her and the owner do drugs in hotels and she was having trouble with my loan paper work because she's new. Told me mac wouldn't help her because he had a thing for her but found out she's messing with the owner. Had to redo my paper work 3 times and when I finally left still got a call from the bank for mistakes she made. The the zx6r I bought had a recall and they told me my parts weren't there till kawasaki told me the day they where delivered and I told them I knew they had the parts and I threatened to leave this review. Now a few months later and the bike has a recall for the same issue with a do not ride order. Which is Kawasaki fault not there's but I asked for a letter stating there's no fix and john who works in service tells me he can't give me a letter because he has no time to write one which is a lie because he spent more time talking to me then it would of taken to write the work order. After telling him I didn't need the letter I recorded the conversation in which he clearly says theres no fix and that I can ride the bike its not serious just going to be another check. He kicked me out of the store and told me I'm not welcome there as a customer anymore. Avoid this place at all cost they only care about the sale especially for a mechanic to tell you go ride the bike its not serious when the engine can seize at any moment. Which i have on recording! They also didnt pay my loan of when they were supposed to. When I called to tell them its been a month and the bank is calling me they made a 500 dollar payment to my bank. Instead of paying it off in full. Which I was giving a first service free for the inconvenience but I literally have had to fight to be treated decent at this place since they sold me the bike.

Joe T. is a straight up dude who is a friend to many people including some motorcycle industry insiders. As a fellow motorcycle enthusiast, The owner might keep you there talking about bikes allot longer than you intended, between that and the cool, ever changing selection of rare Italian racing machinery and the latest Ducati has to offer, be prepared to take your time and stay awhile. Speaking of that, there is a small cafe area...a couple of tables... where riders tend to congregate. Often bikers make Supermoto their destination after a days' riding, bring lunch and hang out. Bikers (and wanna be bikers) come from miles around even going out of their way (passing by other Ducati dealers) to visit Supermoto Italia because the experience is always one of welcome and interest. Sure, there will always be "haters" but you need to see for yourself. Joe has been running Supermoto for several years and solely for the love of motorcycling and comradery involved. A NY Italian motorcycle dealer doesn't stay in business this long unless doing something right. Honestly, there are some negatives with any business, especially motorcycle shops or service shops. But not to warrant the reduction in "reveiw stars" A business should be reviewed by the quality of service, the ability to provide to you what you are looking for and the trustworthiness of the owner or staff (not his opinions or his personality, although I would trust Joe over 99% of so-called "yelpies") If you want to drop off your Ducati or other bike and have some serious work done, done right, with proven parts that improve your bike, you can count on Joe to do it. There isn't 10 mechanics there to get it done fast like McDonald's...and the specialty is more for high end clients, professionals and the hardcore Ducati and Italian motorcycle enthusiasts. The smaller clients like the ones complaining in other reviews can fall through the cracks, yes, but when you consider it, what biker dudes whine like that? Perhaps it is because this is "Yelp" and "Yelp" is the sound a Chihuahua makes when you step on it's foot.... a guy being upset because the busy owner of a shop didn't call him back in time.... I have been riding bikes for more than 20 years and have met some great guys by stopping by at Supermoto Italia many times. Bike guys and car guys can have colorful personalities. I know that Joe treats everyone equally and that all clients are important. I see guys complaining about tank protectors or not being called back. You will never see a real complaint about the quality of work and never hear anything negative from anyone who actually knows the owner of Supermoto for several years because Joe T. is a straight up guy who has paid his dues and a talented, dedicated motorcycle enthusiast...period.

I haven't seen Joe in a while (CA vs NY) but yes SuperMoto gets my vote. If its Italian on 2…read morewheels you've come to the right place. JC dod#90

I left my name and number numerous times regarding a warranty on the machine, but nobody ever got back to me. Let me remind you again this was mid June of this year. After waiting weeks regarding the 2018 Sea-Doo GTR 230. I was let down and gave up on that hope and dream I then focus my priorities on a Sea-Doo spark again. I contacted Whitely. To see if there were any available, sea-Doo spark three ups he told me he had none available and was going to contact other dealerships so he can trade skis in inventory for a spark. Keep in mind this was late June. I left him my name and number again hoping he would get back to me. He told me it would take a few days to source it. Till this day he's never gotten back to me and I went to another dealership to buy the JetSki going to Formula One.
