What I didn't expect was for the appointment times to be disregarded and chaos in the CVS. I arrived early to the pharmacy. No check in, just a long line about 11 people strong. Of course mom stood in line (which had her waiting in the shampoo section aisles over.) her name was announced softly and by the time she made it up front the clerk just took the next person waiting! I always have a late lunch at Zia's then head back over to the westside. Every. Single. Time. I get to the drive through in Nanakuli, 3 hours after it's been called in, I hear "your doctor didn't call anything in." Then I have to say i was sitting next to him when he called 3 hours ago and magically it appears. It never fails, me and my boyfriend actually bet each other each time and I always win. Not sure what's going on but it always goes from a stern "nothing has been called in" to a "looks like we found it."

Shopping at Longs Drugs store on the west side, Waianae side…read more Made a stop at this Longs, always need to make a stop at a Longs no matter what part of the island I'm at, hehe. This longs is located at Waianae Mall, I'm sure the Waianae community is grateful to have this Longs, saves a trip from driving in to Kapolei. My observation, nice, clean, fully stocked on merchandise, and YES. I noticed that most of the items are locked up in the cabinets including toiletries, shampoo, deodorant, detergent, and even can foods! (reminds me of shopping at a store in San Fran) I would say it may take longer than your usual shopping trip if you need these products and to get assistant. There's is a nice selections of fruit, veggies here, more than at other Longs store, nice orchid plants, and bakery items of sweet bread & mochi. For this visit I just needed some alcohol, snacks, toothbrush for our next staycation, so it was a quick stop and ended up with plums and packs of udon noods too ( in store special 2/$1) Only 2 cashiers working, line got long quick but it moved pretty fast. It's not open 24 Hrs but they're open until 11pm Monday thru Thursday and open until Midnight Friday and Saturday. Some Ohana nearby don't have a car or can afford to have perishable food stay fresh on a Bus ride considering the amount of stops between Waianae and Mākaha. This location allows them to keep the food as fresh as possible until they get home. 5 Stars!

I had no idea how these companies worked and was somewhat uncomfortable at the thought of strangers coming into my house at the worst time of my life. They changed my life. They supported me 100% throughout the end of his life. I don't know how I would've managed without them now. This weekend part of the goodness of their hearts they put on a memorial at Calvary by the sea Lutheran Church. I cannot say enough about this company.
