I'd give this place a 5 on their waffle fries and phat sauce and ranch! I could've just enjoyed those and been super happy! My cheesesteak came out swimming in cheese whiz without much meat. As in 2 bits of meat on one half and about 5 on the other. I asked if this was their norm and the server offered to make me a new one even though I was a 'weirdo' who asked for lettuce and mayo. Being from philly, I like a cheesesteak hoAgie oven grinder so adding cheese and mayo would be the norm. The meat tasted more of pot roast than the 'steak ' like I am used to in Philly. And my second chance steak was chuck full of meat so great customer service. Peppers and onions seemed more like frozen than fresh but maybe it's the season? I would love to have their sauces though! This use to be our spot, when they 1st opened. We use to go there Often, during that time because the food was AWESOME! I've been here before so I made a second trip before the NFL kicked-off. I ordered the chicken cheesesteak since I had the other kind the first time around. Both were good. Nothing special about them, just straight to the point, which is needed sometimes. I don't like onions so I went ahead & added bacon to the mix along with the peppers & Monterey Jack cheese. They consistently have the best waffle fries I have ever had. They are always hot and perfectly fried. The combo of seasoning make them out of this world. The cashiers have not been as "soulful" if that makes any sense, changing the vibe of the place. They are all still nice. Still love the philly, I haven't mastered eating one without making a mess. I got my order in good time, maybe too good, it was so friggin' hot it left a big blister on the roof of my mouth. This place knows how to do a proper Philly cheesesteak. The bread was nice and soft while being completely sturdy and able to handle all of its contents. The steak was wonderful and tender, full of flavor. The cheesesteak came with a healthy portion of cheese whiz that delights your tastebuds bite after bite. A solid choice for Philly cheesesteaks in Tulsa (especially since Steak Stuffers isn't open in the evenings or on weekends). The phillies are decent sized and tasty although I wish the bread was slightly chewier. The waffle fries are delicious, especially dipped in their own fry sauce (mayonnaise based with a kick of horseradish). Cool laid back atmosphere inside the restaurant. Stopped in here the other day while I was in Tulsa because I saw it was listed in the new 2017 Best of Tulsa for best sandwich. I figured I would give it a shot and it did not fall short. I have to start out with the help at the counter taking the order were very friendly and they seemed to get my order out that I had to go pretty quickly. They have many versions of the Philly cheesesteak but I went with the original because you can't go wrong with thin cuts of steak and cheese wiz. It had the usual peppers, onions and a nice soft roll to hold everything in its place. You can get them in 8" or 12", but unless you are really hungry, the 8" will do the trick with s stuffed the roll is with the cheesy, meaty goodness. I had some waffle fries also and they pretty tasty too. Tots are your other choice so I think you'd be set either way. As a bonus for your fries or tots they have ranch ready to go, as well as, an in house fry sauce that has a horseradish tang. It wasn't the best fry sauce I've had but was still good. They have little bar area if you want to have a beer while you wait for your order to go or to enjoy with your meal there. If you can't make it out to Philadelphia for a sandwich, Phat Philly's will do great in holding you over until you can. read more

Came to check this spot on a late Friday night after work. I got the 12in Phatter combo which comes with waffle fries and a drink. Very good, not quite the traditional Philly that I'm used to but definitely has its place and not just inside my belly :) It comes with grilled onions and peppers and a special sauce. I typically like my Philly with mayo but this was a nice change up. The steak seemed a bit overcooked but it was still good overall. This place stays open until 4am! Now that's dope for a night owl like me! The staff was friendly and I didn't have to wait very long however the sandwiches are made to order so you may have to wait some, but all good things come to those who wait. read more

A month ago I would have given this place five stars without reservation. This even though they serve Pepsi instead of my beloved Coke. Why? The Philly cheeseburger. It was a burger covered in cheese whiz. Cheese whiz is my guilty little secret that I don't tell people about. I always drink beer when I come so the Pepsi doesn't bother me. Today I walked in and found the burger was gone. I'm not a steak lover and I really hate chicken. Fortunately they had a breakfast sandwich with sausage. It was OK. It was OK enough that I might come back for one or two but it's not my burger. The young lady behind the counter who is always very nice to me, told me that they might have discontinued it because it took so long to cook. It was worth it and I suggested raising the price. I would pay. After eating the breakfast sandwich my response was that he should serve the burger loose meat style as they do the sausage. Then they could fry it up and have it ready and serve it to us. Cheese whiz covers a multitude of sins and we don't have to have perfection for our local diner. We just have to have our favorites. I might pop by if it's on the way and grab a breakfast sandwich and a beer but I won't lie awake nights fantasizing about either. I will just have to learn how to make that burger at home. It will give me an excuse to buy cheese whiz without feeling guilty. I wish I knew how to start a petition on here to bring back our phat Philly cheeseburger. It was generally "ok" . It was a bit loud for my taste. The atmosphere is kind of interesting. Jamaican music was playing and sports were on the TVs. It has a renovated garage look that is coolish. The food wasn't bad, but it also just isn't amazing. I had the classic philly and we shared some tater tots. The sandwich was way better than the chili tots. I'm not use to cheese whiz, and it is on everything. I think some people are super into that... it's just a bit weird to me. Didn't have high expectations for this restaurant being that it's in Oklahoma, due to myself being a food snob from California but boy, did they reach it! Omg, I was so sad when I was finished eating it that's how good it was, I wish I had ordered the 12" instead of getting the fries, all though they were tasty and cooked perfectly, they were a bit too salty for my taste.
