These people are awesome. Ordered my poster on Thursday evening, and picked it up Friday for a conference on Saturday. I ordered an irregular size and thought it wouldn't be cropped, but they cropped it! The poster looks even nicer than I imagined, and was printed on really nice, thick paper in clear colors. The colors did not leak at all. Pickup was also very convenient. Their prices were the best for this quality of print. I will absolutely go back again. Only minor constructive feedback: I wish they were a bit easier to call. They are great with emails, but (as they explain on their website) a bit hard to reach by phone. Also, because the pickup location isn't in their office, I'm not sure if they could have fixed the poster in time for my conference if there were an error (of course, they printed my poster perfectly, so this was not a problem at all). I am completely satisfied with the output from phdposters.com, but these uncertainties made the process a bit stressful for a first time customer. read more

I uploaded my poster slide after 9 PM on a Wednesday night, knowing I needed it sent express the next day to arrive Friday at my house. I was somewhat shocked when about 15 minutes later I got an email that my poster had been printed. Well, ok, but was this just some automaton machine that cranked out print jobs at all hours and no human being would even look at the results? I emailed back to see if my comments requesting someone check the scale, which was a bit non-standard, had come out as expected for the paper size and looked OK, and received another prompt response saying, yes, Dan the owner had done so and assured me it looked great. Arrived on time on Friday, and Dan followed up again to make sure all was well. Definitely recommend and would use again. read more

I've used their service easily a dozen times or more. Always satisfied with how smooth the whole process went, from submitting a file for printing, to getting a copy back to review, to paying on-line, and then getting a notice that the poster is ready to be picked up. One danger is that they have "usually" had the poster ready for pickup sooner than their initial time estimate. I'm starting to get used to this. I know it's on me if they can't keep surprising me with early completion. And the quality of the paper and printing is very good. What I can't speak to is if the poster needs to sent/mailed to you somewhere. I have the benefit of living near enough to go pick it up when it's ready. Pickup location is fairly convenient. I used phdposters (I'm in Boston) twice already. I used to use the service provided by my hospital photography department, but the price is much much much cheaper in phdposters. The quality of the poster is perfect. I usually had colorful fluorescent images in my posters, and the color printed just as real as I saw by the imaging software. Another thing need to mention, the service is super fast! If you send them a .PDF version of your poster, you will get it the next day! I usually sent in last minutes, like 7:00pm or 8 pm at night, and I got the notice that I can pick it up next day. I haven't try their "mailed to the conference directly" service through, but will try in the future~ read more

I heard about them through another postdoc who asked me to pick up their poster for a conference and I recently used them to print my own poster for a conference. The website is easy to navigate and so is the uploading process. The printing turnaround time is very fast - next day service if you get everything uploaded by the end of day (6 or 7pm). Super easy to order online, very reasonable price, and very fast turnaround -- I ordered the poster on a Wednesday afternoon and it was available for pick-up the following morning. I did have a small issue with the logos on my poster -- I had removed the background on them so no outline was visible on the PDF or PPT version, but the background behind the logos was a slightly different color on the printed poster. I have had this issue before with printed posters so I don't think it's specific to Phdposters. Besides that, the quality was very good. I would definitely order from them again. read more

This is the second poster I have printed through PhD Posters and both times the customer service was excellent, and the poster was printed and delivered on time or early. For the poster I had to have delivered to Denver to a friend's house prior to a conference, the team reached out to me on their own offering to hand-deliver the poster rather than ship it as it was on their route, which saved me money and time. PhD Posters is there for you in a pinch! I was able to get INCREDIBLY fast turnaround and reasonable pricing on a satin fabric poster (great for being able to just fold up into your carry-on instead of dealing with travel with a poster tube). It was high quality and pick-up was super easy. The price was also much cheaper as well. I don't think there is another option around here for a fabric poster for quickly and cheap. You can also park for free. I hope you are around for the rest of my career. :) read more

We now use PhD posters since we are fortunate enough to have a pick-up location in Boston, and the prices are considerably cheaper than our alternatives. Most importantly, the turnaround time is given and met, and, the poster is super cute. I like that the glossy isn't the super glossy. The super glossy style reflects light, making the poster hard to read. They have great instructions to prepare the poster so i had no issues with the final product. In this last example I sent it in at like 9pm Wednesday night expecting it to be ready by Friday morning and they STILL had it ready by Thursday morning - 24 hours faster than planned. The posters were securely packed in a poster box and arranged along the wall (Masco building). It was handly for me to collect the posters especially when I forgot to print it before flying out from Europe.
