Aside from greeting us, she was not a competent waitress. She gave us the wrong order of wings. When we told her about the mistake, she tried to make us order another pitcher of beer for another order of 30 wings (each pitcher of beer gets you 30 wings during 10cent Wings Wednesday). I don't believe that we should order another pitcher and more wings to make up for your mistake. In addition to the mistake on our order, she was no where to be found. We had to ask the busboy to locate her to let her know about the mistake and another waitress to get and pay our bill. Her inattentiveness made it an unenjoyable night. I came here at night for the typical drinking/hanging out. There isn't much to say about this place. This is your typical spot where chads and stacys hang out, so you can probably paint your own picture. Not to say that this place is unpleasant though- they have decently priced drinks, and if you come during certain times, there are food specials. For instance, they used to have a wing deal which I believe was on Saturdays. So there are some deals to be had. I did actually try to reach these guys on social media (instagram) since I had some questions. This review is solely based on what's outside, since we never got to make it inside. A group of my girl friends and I decided to go bar hopping on a Friday. This was the first bar we decided to hit, and we had not had a single drink so far. The bouncer decided he did not wanted to let one of my friends in, claiming that "she was too drunk". This place gets quite busy at night, it is a great choice for a fun happy hour with friends - the soundtrack from the 2000-2010s definitely added to my experience (not sure if it is like that all the time but it was appreciated). The specials at Phebe's are amazing. We came on a Thursday night when beers and wine were half off until 8pm and appetizers were half off after 8pm. Needless to say, our bill was half of what it should have been. This American style pub had a bar section where people were standing drinking in groups, but also a dining section where they had a corner for intimate tables for 2 or 4. We decided to sit at the table section and enjoy the starters with our drinks. We started with the Brussels sprouts and bacon bits with maple glaze sauce. Honestly, they were top notch restaurant quality sprouts. Portion was large and the sweetness of the maple sauce matched so well with the saltiness of the sprouts and the bacon. This dish totally hit the spot. The deep fried calamari was by far the best starter on the menu. The portion was huge and the calamari maintained the perfect balance of not too chewy but also not too tough. The avocado sauce worked well with the calamari. The chicken parm sliders were also delicious. Honestly when 4 sliders at $12 are already amazing, we only paid $6 because of the time we ordered. We had a great time. I stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to eat something quick. Menu looked attractive so I walked in after a long day. I was greeted by the manager and seated quickly. I already knew what I wanted, nachos!!! Bussers were very sweet and constantly asked if I needed anything as well as Olivia. The food didn't take long to come out, maybe 10 minutes? The nachos were very very delicious but impossible to finish on my own. A lot of cheese, sour cream, guacamole and salsa. For $14? That's a great price! My friends and I decided to come here on a Wednesday night to partake in their 10 cent wings special. The restaurant was a bit on the crowded side which was understandable since it was well...10 cent wing night. We were quickly seated and our hostess wasn't hesitant with answering our questions. We settled for 90 wings amongst 5 people and that came with 3 pitchers of beer. They have a policy here where you'd have to order a pitcher of beer for every 30 wings purchased. As for the flavors, we settled for the spicy, regular and dry rub. The sizes of the wings were pretty big so that's a big plus. It got me full after the 13th or so wing lol. Service here was a plus even after we were a bit rowdy and stayed for a good half an hour after we paid for the bill and they didn't seem to mind. Would I be back in the future? BEST PART - 2 Separate Bars! - Whether you feel like grinding involuntarily against your neighbors and spilling drinks all over your jackets because there's no where to place them, OR you want an open space with a conversation-nurturing atmosphere and room to dance, Phebe's is the place for you! We chose the latter and it absolutely made our night to have such an option. Our waitress and bartender were absolutely great as well. I accompanied Grant to Phebe's Tavern and Grill which is solely a Cincinnati Bangles bar. The place was crowded but not packed on week 17. The crowd were all diehard fans dressed in Black and Orange. I saw an ugly sweater with "who dey," a tiger stripe tie, scarfs, jerseys, and baseball with a tiger tail. After half a beer we were seated in the back room. All of the TVs were tuned to the Bengals - Ravens game. I drank a couple yeunglings on draft ($7) and tried my first "3 way" which is a Cincinnati classic from Skyline Chili Restaurant chain ($9). The regional dish is stemmed spaghetti covered in chili and then topped with a handful of shredded cheese and (optional oyster crackers). The actual ingredients are a well kept secret but the rumor is that it has chocolate and cinnamon. It's all meat if you want beans (you have to order a 4-way). Grant said it was close but the sauce was too thick and cheese was a bit off. I also had 2 cheese coney dog ($8) which is just a hot dog covered skyline chili, cheese, onions. Ugh, why? First of all I've been here one time too many. I actually stopped here once after a game and had THE WORST french onion soup in my life but that was a while ago. Back to last night. The decor of the place is very cute, especially the booths with open windows where you can see outside and have some fresh air coming through. The spinach dip was really delicious. I was hooked on it but I wish the rest of the cheese was completely melted instead of having some chunks of it. But ugh, good. The burger was great too. They cooked the meat really well as I ordered medium rare. Only con is I didn't taste any of the Jack Daniels sauce :/ the burger comes with sides and I chose waffle fries which were good too but I was definitely too full to finish it all. Of course we had to order a few drinks and we got the Trolley drink as well. They said it tastes a bit like piña colada and it does but the alcohol is kinda strong. I'm not the biggest fan of alcohol actually - judge me all you want - but that's probably a plus for a lot of others? Means they're not cheap with their liquor! All the other drinks were pretty strong too but tasty. The beer was very good too. One of my friends says this place has one of the best beer so if that's what you wanna go there for, you're at the right place. Aside from the alcohol, I wouldn't order their other drinks. They had iced tea, which I ordered, and it tasted like water with a tiny bit of tea and lemon. It didn't meet my expectations and I was sad I even ordered it cause it felt like such a waste of money. This is my go to spot for after work for a few drinks and some good steak. I frequent this pub often the last few years. I asked a friend for a spot for some good wings and they suggested I go here and thankfully I did. Wings are bomb, I got traditional bone in Buffalo style and 12pc for about $16 you can't go wrong. Beers and cocktails are decently priced. But I would suggest the NY Strip Steak. For $26 you get a quality cut steak rarely any fat on it and seasoned well and always comes with the vegetables of the day. Sides and apps are priced reasonably. For 2 apps a steak dinner for 2 and maybe a few beers for one and a couple glasses of Rose' for a lady friend you can make out like a bandit (around $100) Good place to just have drinks with friends, big space in front of the bar and even more space in the next room where there's a second bar. Comfortable seating if you get a booth but not bad otherwise. Dimly lit, its is a pub after all. Let's see how do I review this place. I went to this place for my boyfriends birthday and a month later decided to do mine here. This place is pretty big and sometimes can get really packed depending on the night. The first night that I went back in March it was not as crowded maybe because it was raining outside. Both times they played good music(saturdays). I did enjoy the fact that they played music from the 90s you can't go wrong there if your a fan. It's not really a place where you go to dance but who cares you make it a place where you can get down and dirty and shake your booty. One tip is don't forget there is a bathroom downstairs. The first time I went I though the only bathroom they had was the one up stairs. I found it kinda strange that a place that size would have only one unisex bathroom. Thankfully the second time I went my friends pointed out there was a bigger one down stairs for men and women. Something about a unisex bathroom troubles me but either way once you get drunk you don't care you just have to pee. The drink prices are ok I did get some free drinks. Buy backs are always a plus. The bartenders are friendly and did I mention they serve food here? They have really good wings but the kitchen does close at a certain time. I think its at midnight.
