Phil Abrams used to repair/service my breitling watches .. in the past i was very satisfied ... this time i left 2 breitlings for service .. two weeks later i received a quote for $1,000 each. Hmm, that's strange ... both watches have the same problem and i knew that wasnt the std service cost. The quote didnt indicate details. I called breitling service center ... they said "unless major problems/damage, one should cost $250, the other $550". I called phil but couldnt get details; she said "until watch maker opens watch" ... something was wrong ... i went to pickup my watches and was told that theyre somewhere in the bldg and to come back the next day (i live an hr and a half away). I left, thought about, and phoned saying that i would be back in half an hour and expected my watches ... this time i was told that theyre not on the premises but at another watchmaker's ... i insisted on the location address so i could pick them up .. and asked that they call, "pls call them and tell them im on my way!"... I got my watches back.. an honest watchmaker charged one for $120 .. the other for $450... naughty Phil .. i wont fall for that again! read more

Phil Abrams Fine Jewelry is right on TIME! Phil's shop is the best value in the UNIVERSE! A lot of the pieces are not 'cheap'. But I score Phil Abrams on other attributes. Professionalism and vast knowledge and willingness to meet (although over the years he has EXCEEDED my) expectations. The building and office is secure and is even a few steps secured beyond other locations. I welcome the security measures and puts my mind at ease. In the galleria area off Richmond, you will quickly realize Phil's shop is worth the trip. I am a 'regular' person , but Phil makes me feel like a top tier client when I am there. He listens to me and I ask his for his opinion. We have watch conversations ! He is constantly being summoned via phone and computer for his knowledge, opinion, and inventory. Expect to be there a few minutes or even call ahead as I do. Which always expedites my visit. The staff is inviting and friendly. I have been to other places in shorts and a t-shirt, and felt like I was scrutinized or maybe even looked down upon. Here I do not feel those same critiques. I cannot say enough about the selection, professional demeanor , incredible knowledge and willingness to make the client happy. The first time I met Phil a number of years back I was looking for a basic, well known time piece. Phil had about 8 in stock. Then a year or so later I upgraded to a limited edition watch and Phil was more than happy to locate one for me. This week I purchased a rare watch and every step was perfect!
