Gave this store 3.8, which is a good rating. Small store with Asian Filipino essential cooking ingredients. They also have a small vegetables section and it looks quite fresh. There is a Filipino/Asian food to go for orders inside and has an amazing pancit guisado!! (pan fried thin rice noodle- it was still piping hot when we got home) My wife and I had it with a couple of sticks of pork barbecue on the side and we liked it a lot- it was tender and flavorful.. Oh, and the prices are a couple dollars less in some items compared to other local stores. We see ourselves coming back here again. read more

It's great that there's another store we can get our Asian groceries from that's open later but to be charged .25 cents for a bag is illegal. The county mandates it to be .10 per bag like everyone else. read more

The only reason why I'm giving it two stars and not one is because customer service and there is great very nice people, but the owners need to get with the program. We don't need these type of businesses to come into our community to take advantage of our people look at this lemon grass for three dollars. I have no choice but to buy it cause I didn't wanna drive all the way to Lancaster the mushrooms, small package of mushrooms, five dollars. You can't tell me that all this stuff is coming from the country of origin. All this stuff is coming from out here if you don't have lemon grass that is at the very least nice and healthy then don't sell it or sell it for like a dollar the mushrooms, five dollars. Today while I was in Palmdale California, I saw this Asian market and that I haven't been to. I'm always looking for a good Asian market in my area Lancaster Palmdale area. I was very happy to see a new one so I went in and saw the items they have a hot food area I wish I would've known cause I would've ordered something. Maybe next time I looked around the grocery store oh yeah it's a restaurant and a grocery store together. They have some interesting things. I was looking for egg noodles Asian style and they had it of course I got it. The service was nice. The person there helped me She informed me that they do have Wagyu beef, but not that much to select from because it's so expensive so you get what you get I will be trying that the next time I go and I will be coming back. read more

I can't tell you how happy I was to find this establishment..! OK, sure I can. Laid out nicely, clean, welcoming smiles... hitting all the marks right off the bat. So many of the other oriental markets in the Antelope Valley have shut their doors over the last few years that I was wondering if any sort of cultural diversity was still being encouraged. Very glad to say it is! Their store has a nice selection of sauces and ingredients, noodles, very fresh looking produce and fish. I also found a few unexpected items that aren't Filipino, but were very welcome to see (Japanese and Chinese items). I look forward to buying fish next visit and some prepared dishes. It's ok for the convenience of not having to go down below for some things. Nice-ok selection for a small store in Palmdale, could be even better but we definitely needed a store like this. I was happy to see they have castella cakes, Swiss rolls, steamed cheesecake etc. nice selection of single pack ramen. Great drink selection. The downside would have to be the pricing, a lot of things are expensive/overpriced All I got were a few items and the total was almost 33. My aunt told me about this market. I can't believe I've just heard about this place. The staff were so welcoming, polite, and very helpful. The store is very clean. No foul orders upon entering the store even they have a seafood section. The food on their menu on the day I went was very good. Home cooked style!! The Manager was very accommodating and very knowledgeable of the products on the shelves and very open to suggestions. I went here to try out the lumpia. But once I got there, I saw they had prepared food to go. So, I ordered Lumpia, Poinsett, and Chicken Adobo in a combo plate. They were all very good with good size portions. After that I ordered a catering order of the pork lumpia for a New Year Eve party. My order was ready before the promised time and everyone loved it. I really liked this place because it was one of the only places I can get a few Asian cooking items without having to travel. But to my surprise I went in today to buy my favorite chilli oil which was originally $6.99 the price has increased to $12.79. I didn't realize until I paid for my items and they were more expensive than I thought. I went back to the isle to confirm that I wasn't tripping. Turns out they forgot to remove the 6.99 price. So I informed the owner that the price says 6.99 and you charged me 12.79. Instead of charging the price that was listed he gave an excuse and quickly removed the $6.99 label. He also said well if you don't want the item then don't get. It's sad because you are supposed to honor the price on the shelf. I won't be returning to this establishment. I mean the fact that the price at increased $5.80 witching the last few months is reason enough but the poor customer service is where I draw the line! read more

Over the years the only Asian markets that were open in the AV were mainly focused on Filipino and Vietnamese tastes. This is great, but we were in need of a shop that also carries more Eastern Asian ingredients. Philmart came through on this need, and blew me away when I saw how many ingredients they had. I usually drive down to LA to do my Asian grocery shopping, and with Philmart in Palmdale, I don't have to drive down nearly as often, because they've got what I need and its worth the slightly higher price for the convenience. The store is big, clean, and well-organized, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations. I ordered the Veg Eggroll, Tortang Talong, and mixed veggies--none of them had that authentic Filipino flavor I was hoping for. Everything tasted quite bland. Too pricey. I can get some of the produce for less at some supermarkets. The girl who attended to us was nice and cheerful but the guy sitting by the cash register was scary. He would look at you in such a way that basically made you feel low and want to leave. We did like finding some groceries that aren't available everywhere. The food was good (we got lumpia and bbq chicken skewers) As for the ambiance it did feel a bit crowded. Maybe find a way to make it look more attractive, less solitude like. Or maybe the lonely feeling of the ambiance was due to that guy. He was so rude didn't reply to the salutation nor to the goodbye have a nice day. Only the girl. He was rude to her too, called her when we went to pay as if she were his servant. He also looked like a mean, slouchy, slob, just sitting there looking at his phone or staring people down. I visited Phil Mart for the 1st time a couple days ago and the take out food was delicious!!! The pork skewers tasted like home made!! Veggie egg rolls come with the sweet chili garlic sauce and were delicious also. I also bought some produce daikon and lemon grass which were very fresh. The selection non perishable food was good too. Not only Filipino but some Chinese and Japanese items also. The people working there were very friendly and helpful.
