Hubs took me to breakfast yesterday at Phila Deli. It's a little place in a strip mall. The small restaurant is clean and also has a bar area. I believe it serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. I didn't know our server's name, but she was sweet and provided good service. I had an amazing avocado toast. I think it's one of the best I've had. They even made my toast with ciabatta and added an over easy egg on request. Hubby had your normal two eggs, sausage and hash browns dish. This restaurant also has a bakery attached, and we did leave with four pasties to take to our next resort in Longboat Key. I did think their price of $5 per item was a tad too much, though. Their homemade sandwiches on baguettes look so good, too. The bakery staff was just as sweet as our server. I recommend Phila Deli. read more

Tucked away on Tierra Verde, this place was perfect for a quick lunch. Small bar and a few tables and a take out area. The service was excellent and the food was INSANELY GOOD! Chose this place solely on the rave reviews of the Philly Cheesesteak. They were empty. We opted to dine in. Service was good and prompt. I ordered the 12" Philly as I wanted leftovers for the beach tomorrow. The portion was huge and plenty of meat to bun ratio. The bun was amazing and fresh. Personally, I wasn't much of a fan of the flavor or lack thereof. The melted American Cheese just kinda threw the sandwich off. My husband got a Cuban and said it was serviceable. I'll note he's had a couple other Cubans from other places this trip that were amazing. The fresh cut fries were the star of our meals. Superb and thick cut. Onion rings were nice and crispy also. I feel like this place might be going through an identity change and not sure where they will land. They are new owners for about a year and as far as the menu I think they have just kept what the previous owners did well. Not sure but my perception. They have a French bakery attached which has some very nicely prepared treats. Mickael, our server and I believe owner, said he makes them and I think that's where his passion really is. We took a chocolate lava cake and Tiramisu Togo. I just don't think I'd go back for the Philly again. Also, they don't honor any 10% coupon Yelp sometimes offers when you check in. He said they are not affiliated with Yelp in any way and are unsure why their stuff is posted at all. read more

Famous Philly (6" perfect amount for lunch) with Sidewinder fries is most excellent. Had the mushroom and red pepper on it. Nice! Service is quick and they check back with you. Watched some basketball on the tv. Not noisy at all and it was mostly full for lunch hour. read more

I just checked out Phila Deli for lunch out on Tierra Verde. I have been searching for a solid cheese steak in our area, and I definitely found one. I stopped in and placed an order at the counter. I wanted to enjoy this weather, so I chose to take it to go and eat it out front on the picnic tables provided. I ordered my sandwich with onions, hot cherry peppers, and extra cheese. I sat outside and my food was ready shortly thereafter. I took a seat at the picnic tables with a few local construction workers that were also enjoying their cheese steak lunch. First look at my sandwich and it looked really good. The meat to bread ratio was exactly how I liked it. It was super cheesey and the peppers were nicely distributed throughout the meat. My first bite was amazing. It was everything I have been searching for. The meat was seasoned nicely and it was perfectly cheesey. I finished off my sandwich fairly quickly and I was quite content. Overall, I enjoyed my lunch at Phila Deli. It was quick and tasty. The cheese steak was one of the best I have had in our area. Highly recommended. read more

Fun here starts with wonderful service - spearheaded by Aspyn and Parker. Both are very personable and customer-centric! They just do a great job of welcoming you in and taking care of you. Phila Deli's Cheesesteak sets itself apart by using the authentic Amorosa Roll shipped straight in from Philly. Their steak and cheese is a generous serving and yet balanced nicely to enjoy both bun and contents. Couldn't do a review without a shout out on the Hand Cut fries - skin on deliciousness abounds! Ordered food here from Uber eats for delivery. If I'm rating the Philadelphia cheesesteak I would have given it 5 stars but unfortunately the quesadilla brought down the rating. The Philly was loaded with meat. You are able to customize your order to add additional toppings- most are without additional cost. Unfortunately the quesadilla was the exact opposite. Cute cafe and deli nearby the beach. We came here for a late lunch after visiting Shell Key. Two of us had Philly cheese steaks, I had the chicken Philly, and my youngest son had chicken and fries. You have numerous choices of sides, I got the potato salad! Again delicious. They charge for the sides, but thats fine because the price of the sandwich is totally reasonable for how much they give you. Sandwich served nice and hot too! We loved it. I also loved the nice fresh cold pickle served with my meal. I normally dont eat the pickle most restaurants serve because its warm and looks like its been laying around for days.
