My Williams Italian Sub with potato salad.
    Neil B.

Date of Visit: 02/09/25 Before I started this review I had to look over my pics to make sure I am true to my review... If any of you are following me you would see that I had a not a great day the day before for a lunch stop. I was wanting an Italian sub today and didn't want no chain shop sandwich. I decided on Williams and had high expectations as well. People are correct to the fact it is somewhat hidden in this plaza with it being on the corner and the bike trail passes over top in that section. It's more of a grab and go place than dine in so when I arrived there was plenty of parking, I was dining in today. As I approached the counter and looking over the menu I knew what I wanted, an Italian. I asked for an Italian sub and the person behind the counter recommend their take on the Italian, I said sure then was asked what side. There were several sides, I opted for the potato salad. Others came and picked up orders and went. My sandwich and salad arrived, I unwrapped it and well I was not too excited but gave it a try. I'm not one to make a fuss. It was a bit on the anemic side, weak, it may have had enough meat and cheese but I was expecting to see some lettuce and tomato on it, all it had was the spicy relish. It did add something to it but wanted some crisp crunch. The roll it was made with was the saving grace, nice and fresh. Also the potato was good as well. Overall not a bad place if it's on your way...Peace.

Couldn't be happier. 65 years in business and still doing it right. Had yum yum club all the way. Thanks for the great meal + the military discount.

So my motorcycle died in the parking lot and I was hungry. I had heard that Williams Sub Shop, though they only serve Cubans on Friday, has the BEST sandwiches in all of Pinellas County. I won't hold you in suspense, it's true. I stopped in and was greeted by two sweet ladies behind the counter who recommended I try the Yum-Yum Club Sandwich (since it wasn't Friday). I ate every last bit of it, I was picking the pieces up from my tray. Afterward I tried all their sides, with my favorite being the Red Potato Salad, and got an Oreo Dream Bar to top it all off. Perfect little sandwich shop atmosphere, drink cooler with classic sodas, clean place, classic jams playing on the radio. I will be back to try the Greek Salad with their Potato Salad in it!

If a place has been in business for 65 years, they must be doing something right. What they are doing right is providing great tasting subs at a fair price- and that is a timeless option. Ordered the highly recommended Yum Yum sub and it was yummy. Parking lot can be tough to get in and out of, but it is worth it.

What a fabulous find! We have been driving by this place since moving to Largo and finally stopped in. They welcomed us in and asked if we had been there before. After saying no, they did a quick run through their menu pointing out favorites, which I love! We opted for the yum yum and my go to always, the Italian. The bread was so delicious with fresh ingredients and just the right amount of sandwich fillings. The restaurant is very no nonsense on the inside but very clean. It still has that old school vibe which is fun. They do not have fountain drinks only bottles or cans so if you are an ice girl like me, make sure to bring your own!

Always a must stop when I'm in the Tampa/StPete/Clearwater area!! Came here everyday for lunch when I worked minor league Devil Rays Spring Training games at their old complex a few blocks away in 2001-2004 and always ordered the same thing for 2-3 weeks straight ... YumYum Club warmed up, all the way, with red peppers. Best sandwich on the planet!! Came back in 2021, and brought the family with me ... and the place, the staff, and the sandwich were exactly what I remembered. Been making an annual trip the last few years to the area, and it's always the 1st stop for lunch upon arrival... and I usually stop again, or get some to-go, before we leave town. Simply the BEST!!!

Turkey Sub Bacon, lettuce, mozz and provolone cheese Bacon was crispy. Get the oils and spices!

We actually had Williams today and I highly recommend getting their YumYum Club sandwich hit relish on the side.

We have had the traditional Cuban, the Salami and the Roast Beef. All are amazing. It is a no frills spot with plenty of outdoor seating and some indoor as well. The bread is perfect, the beans and rice spot on, but you come for the sandwiches, and they deliver. The staff are pretty laid back and it is simple service and good food. Like I said, we always come here when we are in town. We had to wait for while after the hurricanes but I am so glad they are open again. Stop in and enjoy.

I noticed they were at one point awarded best of the bay which could just be locals supporting local businesses which is typically how that list goes, because I would definitely not vote this as the best Cuban sandwich. Cute little local shop with mostly outside covered seating and a couple inside two seaters. This is an order at the counter restaurant near treasure island/madeira beach. Great flavor but where is the pork? The meats were limited and the most important one very scarce. They also want $11 for just the sandwich. Was it the worst I've had? No. Was it authentic? Yes. Would i recommend this Cuban sandwich? Sadly, no. If it were half that price and you just wanted a cubano I would say yes. But if you are looking for a truly good cuban sandwich because you've never had one or are craving one, I would not send you here. Decent. But not great. Price too high especially for the lack of meat. For that I give 3 stars

They had a fresh catch of grouper that day, so we decided to try the grouper nuggets. They're market price, but absolutely worth it. Even our friend preferred them over his fried fish. The batter was light, crispy, and delicious. Our kids ordered the bacon cheese fries and loved them. Just a heads-up: they use a nacho cheese sauce rather than shredded cheese, which some people may prefer to know ahead of time. Our friend from Massachusetts ordered the lobster sub (also market price) and said it was worth every penny. My husband and I split the grouper nuggets and the Philly cheesesteak. The bread is brought in from up north, and our server's recommendation did not disappoint. The sandwich was rich, flavorful, and one of the highlights of the meal. We also tried the onion rings. They use a beer batter, which wasn't our favorite, but that's more of a personal preference than a criticism. Overall, we'd definitely return if we're in the area again. The only downside was parking--$29.99 for two hours is pretty brutal. Thankfully, the food and atmosphere helped make up for it.

That said, I can appreciate that with a team of just two people, they're clearly focused on maintaining quality over quantity. The space itself is absolutely adorable and very thoughtfully curated. During our visit, I realized the owners seemed familiar, and after chatting with them, learned they were behind a few other local restaurants I've enjoyed over the years. Small world! The restaurant is very small with limited seating, but that appears to be intentional and fits the concept. The wine selection was enjoyable, and I really loved the overall idea and atmosphere they've created. When it gets busy, it's easy to see how challenging it can be for a two-person team to balance service and hospitality while keeping everything running smoothly. Even so, the effort, passion, and attention to detail are obvious. Overall, a wonderful addition to the area. 10/10--we'll definitely be back and hopefully snag one of those sandwiches next time!
