This is a real authentic Philadelphia deli. They have old photos on the wall of Pat, Ginos, and I thought I saw Jims too. I have had their philly cheese steak, it is true to form real philly style. The meat was tender, and the size was a solid 12 inch. I have had steak sandwiches on the dry side and will occasionally put a bit of ketchup or mayo on a sandwich, however this sandwich was moist enough that this was not required. We also had a turkey bacon ranch wrap, a meatball sub, a blt, and fries. Everything was really good, fresh, and I feel a good size for the money. The place is a bit old maybe not the most up to date style, or trendy, BUT the food is really good and a good value. This is a great place to stop on your way to or from Fort De Soto Beach. The woman who took our order and served us was efficient, polite, and made a point to inquire if we needed any condiments , which she provided happily. I hate places that try to sweat you on the condiments!, and my family happens to like alot of ketchup on our fries! Had the philly sandwich which was good but not as good as I have had. It came with potato chips but I decided to $1.50 more for fries. I'm not against paying more for the fries but it was such a small serving that their cost was probably less giving me fries over the bag of potato chips would of cost them. Moving to Florida nearly six years ago this was my biggest heartbreak - the things that pass for 'A Philly' or 'Steak and Cheese' are miserable. THIS PLACE IS THE REAL DEAL! Small place, kind of off the radar and easy to miss; you want to search it out. Take out, a couple tables, beer and wine.... the steak sandwiches are the reason to go. I literally teared up when she brought it to the table - beautiful, firm but soft Amoroso Roll, tons of thinly shaved beef cooked on a flat top grill, I added sautéed onion and cheese... I normally don't do reviews unless the product/service is either outstanding or terrible. Unfortunately this time, Phila Deli fails to meet my expectations. I have previously been there a few times over the last three years with outstanding service and food. They were always busy too, no matter what time of day. Today, as soon as I walked in, I almost immediately noticed something off with the place. It was empty, except for me and another couple. Anyway, I sat at my 'usual' place at the bar and first ordered a mimosa. The gentleman who served me was prompt, and the mimosa was good. I ordered a Western Omelette, but the gentleman didn't know what that was. He had what I believe to be a French accent, and I've never seen him there before. That's when I started to think that maybe this place has changed ownership recently. After I explained to him what a western omelette is, he took the order. A few minutes later I received my breakfast. The omelette was very undercooked, and not even close to previous omelets I had there. It was terrible actually, but I didn't have it in me to tell him. Definitely not the same cook. Come to find out, that yes indeed, there is new ownership. Hopefully they figure out how to properly cook an omelette. Time will tell. read more

Prices on the menu are not what they charge you. When questioned/challenged on this, the staff shrugs it off and points to the fine print in a disclaimer at the bottom of the menu saying prices may change. They can pay for 100 new menus for every bagel they over charge you for currently. Felt misleading and scam-like. Shame on them. Do better. Updated in response to business' answer: glad to see the professionalism of the owner matches that of his business operation. You could have just said you were sorry and that you are working on it, but your defensive answer confirms the fact that you are taking advantage of unwitting customers with fine print. Hopefully the market conditions reverse and you can go back to offering your bagels at their previous cost, but unlike the tone of your response, I will not be patronizing any time soon read more

I went in here after a couple people had told me about it. I have had cheesesteaks from many different places including a cheesesteak from Tony Luke's in Philadelphia, obviously the best one was in Philly but as far as the Bay Area goes, this right here is the best cheesesteak I have had to date! Phila Deli is a small delicatessen on the Tierra Verde peninsula near Saint Petersburg and St Pete Beach, Florida. Open after the owner from Pennsylvania could not find a good Philly cheesesteak shop in Central Florida. They are home to an amazing chicken cheesesteak and some of the best Philly steaks south of The Original Pat's King of Steaks. Enjoying our time in the sun and bought sandwiches here 4 times so far and all were Great! Started with the Cuban sandwich, full of ham and toasted just right. Then the Philly cheesesteak without onion, jalapeños or hot peppers and loved it. Next tried the Italian sub with Italian dressing stacked with lots of meat and very good. Lastly went back for another cheesesteak with everything but jalapeños and a little more spicy but still very good. We also had the fresh cut fries and nice and meaty and cooked just right. A few friends and I were starving after a bike ride at Ft De Soto and this little spot popped up in the Yelp App search. Upon arrival we noticed it was a cute and quaint little mom & pop in a small shopping center. The woman at the counter was really friendly and told us to help ourselves to coffee or drinks from the cooler. The coffee was great and as we sat back down and read the menu she was quick to come over and grab our orders. The menu is small but with just enough items for a great breakfast. The food came out quickly. I had eggs, toast, bacon, and home fries. Told ya I was hungry. The home fries portion was a bit on the small side but the toast was thick and delicious. And for $5.99 I really can't complain. Our group of four enjoyed our meals and will definitely go back after our next bike ride. read more

Stopped by to check out the Philly cheese steaks because of all the reviews. Well let's just say don't bother. The only thing Philly in the place is the amoroso rolls which isn't hard to find here in the area. Go to Tobys Little Italy for the best cheesesteaks in all of St. Pete. The cheesesteak had chopped up little onions and way too much cheese so I couldn't taste the meat. The onions were so small that I couldn't taste it see them. Such a shame. The fries were dried out and the ketchup taste funny. It was some off brand. Anyway I would avoid this place if you're looking for a taste of Philly, but if your looking for a sandwich like Publix, stop in, they have Boars Head meats. read more

Some of the best pancakes I've ever had. We ordered the crunch wrap (comes with crispy potatoes inside a toasted wrap, sausage, egg, and cheddar cheese), egg sandwiches (designed and cooked to order, just the way we like it), corned beef hash (crispy on one side) and rye bread. My family and I were looking for lunch after a day at the beach. Really delicious sandwiches and hot dogs. The hot dogs were enormous - easily twice as thick and long as your at home hot dog. I had a Philly with hot cherry peppers and I was in love. We took the items to go and they held up well during travel.
