The reviews I found prior to contacting with Montway looked good. Wish I had seen the Yelp reviews…read more I contracted with Montway on 4/1 for first available pick up on 4/3. I paid their broker fee and was told I could pay cash to the carrier for the balance. On 4/9 I got notice a carrier had been assigned and would contact about pick up. 45 minutes later I was called and asked if I had another contact number for the sender as they couldn't reach him, the driver would be canceling in ten minutes if we couldn't get the sender because the truck is in the area. So that was canceled because we weren't given the hours of notice we were told we'd get. On 4/11 I got notice that it would be picked up on 4/12 (Sunday). It was picked up. The eta was listed as Friday 4/17, I thought that's fast, great. On Monday, after the car was picked up, I was sent a text from the actual carrier asking how I was paying the balance, and that they do not accept cash. So I told them the motor carrier that I contacted with specifically said to pay cash, and I'm not paying with zelle, PayPal etc etc. So this went on for days with the carrier and the broker, and the eta was never updated from Friday the 17th. So I had to rush to a bank after work to get a bell check for Friday. Friday came and was late when I reached out for an update and was told it would be saturday. Saturday basically through the whole day no update, so I reached out again and was told Monday. Although I was promised Monday the car again was not delivered. On Tuesday i was told by the driver that the radiator in his brand new truck needed to be replaced and he had just picked it up at the dealer. So even if the broker didn't know the truck was having issues the carrier certainly should have known. Not only was the truck having issues but he was three large states over. The driver told me he would be there Wednesday. On Wednesday when the driver didn't update me I called him directly again and he told me it would definitely be Thursday. Thursday morning he called and said his last delivery before me was finally complete and he would be to me within a few hours, and he was. So although I was told the ETA was Friday , Saturday , Monday , Tuesday , Wednesday, I finally got the delivery on Thursday. TLDR: Communication is terrible, scheduling is worse, the disconnect between the broker and the actual company doing the hauling is pathetic. I'm not sure what the answer is because the brokers all use the same haulers and the haulers don't seem to care about communication, only efficency. And I realize in trucking that things need to be efficient if you're going to be profitable, but you cannot ignore your customer and you have to let them know what's going on. Even with all the scheduling issues, as I told the driver when he promised Wednesday and then on Wednesday said it'll actually be Thursday: I don't care what day it is, just give me a truthful answer so I can plan around it. Edit to their response - while I had issues with the carrier, the bulk of my issues were with the broker, Montway. THEIR inept communication is where the majority of my issues started, THEIR terrible scheduling and over promising and potentially lying is where my problems started. Not wth the carrier. The carrier was just a continuation of the problems that I had with the broker. The comment about 20000 different carriers just agrees with the fact that all brokers are dealing with the same haulers, and you need to select the best broker to get t the best service because it all starts there. IMO I did not select the best broker. I would not use Montway again.

I packed some of her belongings only to find out the week before move we couldn't get the trailer to move her! I called around to find a cross country mover and was receiving quotes higher than 6000! I found State to State moving on Yelp and was desperate at this point as we were needing to be out of her townhome within a week. I was received a quote that was more reasonable than I got anywhere else! Moving day came and they movers who arrived were hard working, knowledgeable and great! I couldn't have asked for a better moving team. They also kept me informed of where they were all along the cross country trip. In Los Angeles the movers again were the kindest, hardest working guys imaginable! Everything itemized and arrived in good condition. I can't tell you how relieved I was that State to State movers turned out to be better than I could have imagined. I also shipped my daughters car cross country with them and a great experience all around! What could have been a horrible disaster turned into a wonderful blessing!

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Before my move, I was promised that my furniture would be professionally disassembled at my old home and reassembled at my new home. The movers did disassemble my furniture, but they never reassembled it after delivery. I paid for a full-service move, yet I was left with furniture in pieces and had to figure out how to put everything back together myself. This was not the service that was promised. I was also charged additional fees that were not clearly explained upfront. For example, my contract states that one flight of stairs is included, yet I was still charged an additional stair fee without a clear explanation. If these charges were going to apply, they should have been disclosed before the move--not after. Communication throughout the process was poor. I informed the dispatcher in advance that my mother would be meeting the movers at the destination because I could not be there. She arrived approximately 30 minutes after they did. The driver was initially willing to wait, and I immediately notified the dispatcher, Vanessa, of the situation. Despite keeping the company informed, I was later charged a waiting fee. If waiting charges were going to be added, they should have been clearly explained before they appeared on my final bill. To make matters worse, after the movers had already left, I received text messages with additional charges that had not been discussed during the move. It felt like the cost kept increasing after the service was completed. Overall, I felt misled, overcharged, and extremely disappointed. Moving is stressful enough without having to deal with broken promises, unexpected fees, and poor communication. The company failed to deliver the full service they promised, lacked transparency with their pricing, and left me with unfinished work after I had already paid for professional moving services. I regret choosing this company and would never use them again. If you're considering hiring this company, make sure every promise, every service, and every possible fee is clearly documented in writing before signing anything.

I went with a cheaper competitor and he proceeded to warn me about cheap quotes and then bait and switch extra charges at time of delivery. Upon telling him I went with a different carrier. He texted me this," okay, do they have exact driver for you? and how much?" I texted him," Yes $600 at delivery no hassle or hidden fees written in contract." Then Oscar proceeds to tell me the following," Carshipping Express Inc ?.. LOL, You were lied and scammed, I am 100%sure that they will never do it for $600. and contract is nothing for them, I told you above, be careful with low ball price, they attracted you by offering low price, on this road, any drivers did not accept the load for that price, if there were any driver I could have updated you about it.." So now here is the kicker..Oscar from Royal auto shop says texts this to me since he didn't get my business and is sure I got scammed.." IF THEY DO IT FOR $600, I WILL GIVE YOU $500 FROM MY OWN POCKET, it is my word, I am serious about it, if they send you written contract, did you ask them exact driver info, ask them the driver name, phone number, truck pictures and driver's license and plate number of the truck and insurance of the driver which were written the driver truck vin numbers. ". This was all 6/27. Then 6/29 he texts me asking if they picked up the car. Ironically 7/2 the carrier delivered my car and charged me the amount of $600 that Oscar said they'd scam me and charge me more or he'd pay me $500 cash out of his own pocket. Oscar calls me twice 7/2 so I call him back and he asks me to send me the proof because he was curious so I sent him proof Carshippers inc shipped my car for $600 Instead of paying me Oscar texts me this," I have calls to talk with other customers, I just finished conversation I did not get anything, except your text messages, and I asked you to provide me driver information if they have for $600, on 27th, but you did not send me 27th any driver info. it means, I will not send you $500, if you provided the driver information 27th, I would have sent you money but You are calling today." So Oscar Harris changed the terms of his word as u can clearly see in his own texts exchange. If he won't uphold his word then what else will he change when he delivers your car. CARSHIPPERS INC true to their word took care of me. ROYAL AUTO SHIP OSCAR TALKED A GOOD GAME but failed to follow through on his own promise to pay me $500 if my car got transported for $600. Watch yourselves because Oscar is right, there are a lot of car transport companies scammers out there that won't stand by their word.

I was referred to by a family friend and I couldn't be more content. They responded promptly to a competitive quote compared to other movers (I had quotes from dozens of other movers and Kerb was swift and considerate when providing his competitive quote). No one could beat it! They showed up promptly to our house and greeted us with a genuine smile. It's hard to find movers that are genuine - most of them just want to get the deed done, get paid, and move along with their day. What really stood them apart is how they made conversation with us, asked us what EXACTLY we needed from them to make this experience seamless for us, and their overall process. They even provided special bins and create for our valuables! Not only that, but a lot of bubble wrap and blankets to wrap around. That's what my mother was most afraid of... she didn't want any damages to her valuable belongings, so the fact that they were able to provide these special bins without us asking made us very grateful. Overall, I'm satisfied of choosing this company. The movers were considerate and professional at all times. And the best, most important part of the whole process? The items were all undamaged and arrived on time. It was a great experience and I'm glad I chose them! Communication throughout the whole process was smooth, from the initial quote, payment, to the final move. Thank you for all the help!
