The reviews I found prior to contacting with Montway looked good. Wish I had seen the Yelp reviews. I contracted with Montway on 4/1 for first available pick up on 4/3. I paid their broker fee and was told I could pay cash to the carrier for the balance. On 4/9 I got notice a carrier had been assigned and would contact about pick up. 45 minutes later I was called and asked if I had another contact number for the sender as they couldn't reach him, the driver would be canceling in ten minutes if we couldn't get the sender because the truck is in the area. So that was canceled because we weren't given the hours of notice we were told we'd get. On 4/11 I got notice that it would be picked up on 4/12 (Sunday). It was picked up. The eta was listed as Friday 4/17, I thought that's fast, great. On Monday, after the car was picked up, I was sent a text from the actual carrier asking how I was paying the balance, and that they do not accept cash. So I told them the motor carrier that I contacted with specifically said to pay cash, and I'm not paying with zelle, PayPal etc etc. So this went on for days with the carrier and the broker, and the eta was never updated from Friday the 17th. So I had to rush to a bank after work to get a bell check for Friday. Friday came and was late when I reached out for an update and was told it would be saturday. Saturday basically through the whole day no update, so I reached out again and was told Monday. Although I was promised Monday the car again was not delivered. On Tuesday i was told by the driver that the radiator in his brand new truck needed to be replaced and he had just picked it up at the dealer. So even if the broker didn't know the truck was having issues the carrier certainly should have known. Not only was the truck having issues but he was three large states over. The driver told me he would be there Wednesday. On Wednesday when the driver didn't update me I called him directly again and he told me it would definitely be Thursday. Thursday morning he called and said his last delivery before me was finally complete and he would be to me within a few hours, and he was. So although I was told the ETA was Friday , Saturday , Monday , Tuesday , Wednesday, I finally got the delivery on Thursday. TLDR: Communication is terrible, scheduling is worse, the disconnect between the broker and the actual company doing the hauling is pathetic. I'm not sure what the answer is because the brokers all use the same haulers and the haulers don't seem to care about communication, only efficency. And I realize in trucking that things need to be efficient if you're going to be profitable, but you cannot ignore your customer and you have to let them know what's going on. Even with all the scheduling issues, as I told the driver when he promised Wednesday and then on Wednesday said it'll actually be Thursday: I don't care what day it is, just give me a truthful answer so I can plan around it. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Edit to their response - while I had issues with the carrier, the bulk of my issues were with the broker, Montway. THEIR inept communication is where the majority of my issues started, THEIR terrible scheduling and over promising and potentially lying is where my problems started. Not wth the carrier. The carrier was just a continuation of the problems that I had with the broker. The comment about 20000 different carriers just agrees with the fact that all brokers are dealing with the same haulers, and you need to select the best broker to get t the best service because it all starts there. Despite me having photo documentation of proof that the carrier damaged my car, Montway denies accountability stating that they are only third party brokers and I must take it up with the carrier. Very unprofessional, they don't have anything to track the drivers so you can't track your vehicles whereabouts, also I was promised 3 different times for a certain time and date for my delivery and it never came , I finally raised a huge concern because both Montway and the carrier accelerated Co, which is a private truck company that uses the umbrella of montway , both were very disappointing, the driver had a language barrier that wouldn't allow me to speak to him , as well as montway pretending to reach out to them , multiple times, the supervisor also approved a discount of 25$ and then revoked it through email saying that she can't issue a discount anymore after I paid almost 1300$ for my car to get shipped , and literally was on the verge of calling the police after noticing that I wasn't being treated correctly or properly communicated with about my 200k car . I was referred by a friend and i didn't have the same experience my number one suggestion is never ! Book through them they do not communicate well and they are rude ! We hired this company due to their advertised "door to door" service - not realizing they meant a door, just not our door. Drop off and pick up had to be done at other locations due to "narrow streets" which is nonsense. They originally wanted my daughter to meet them at a random location 20 miles away in downtown LA, finally agreed to a public place (store) and then never showed up after she spent over $100 in uber fees. After 2 hours of waiting we told them she was leaving because it was late and stores were closing and then they miraculously were able to meet at her house an hour later. Also we tracked the car and they took it through Mexico for some reason. Only use these guys if you want a chaotic, potentially unsafe, and painful experience with limited communication and you have someone standing by to give you a ride to drop off and pick up. read more

Mint way did a great job transporting my vehicle from Texas to Florida. Great price, on time, delivered on time (early) and took good care of the vehicle. The only issue is the cash on delivery requirement. They take an initial payment with credit card but don't mention that cash will be required for final payment at delivery. read more

We were quoted a price and supposedly the transporters want to charge more. We stuck to the quote and they found a transporter for the quoted price. We were told the car would get picked up on Monday or Tuesday. The car wasn't picked up until Wednesday. Then the driver in Philadelphia was not going into work on Friday. WHAT only 1 driver???? The lot is closed on the weekend but we can drive there to pick it up on the weekend. And on top of that, Monday was a holiday so we didn't get the car until Tuesday. This was absolutely the WORST experience. Oh and the driver wanted more money and didn't want to take cash. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Be aware of this company and who they contract to deliver your vehicle. They contracted Starway Logistics LLC who has a less than reputable rating anywhere online. I recently moved from CA to MD for work and had my car shipped July 23rd with their expected arrival being July 27th. Due to circumstance, I was not able to arrive until Aug 2nd, which Montway and the driver were aware of. They assured me this would not be a problem and they would have my car delivered on the 2nd. Throughout this time, I never received status of the vehicle. Upon arrival I had not heard anything about the delivery status of my car. Needless to say, it did not arrive on the 2nd. Instead I was informed it would arrive between 6-8PM on the 3rd. After being told I would be informed when it left and given a heads up for arrival, I came to find out at 9PM that it never left and I would not be getting my car with the carrier lying to Montway and stating they called me for delivery but I was not home. I was told by both Montway and the carrier that it would arrive the next day and that I would be given status updates. I was never given status updates. On the morning of the 4th no one could inform me the location of the car or when it would be arriving. Instead they said it left and it would be here in the afternoon. I was also informed to call the driver which i did, and he told me he was not on his way and hung up on me. Again, I never received my vehicle. Later that evening I was told I would receive the car on the 5th and I was again informed that the driver was on his way. Still having NO idea the physical location of my vehicle, I never received a call or an update. Later that afternoon a Starway rep told me the truck broke down, Montway stated they had no record of this, but that the driver could not drive anymore due to late hours and he was tired (this was ~4PM). At no point did anyone ever contact me to assist me. I was constantly getting the run around. By the 6th, finally a supervisor contacted me and stated that the car was on the way and that the car had been in a Lot only 3hrs away!!! Still I did not have the physical address, and still did not receive my vehicle. The supervisor informed me that Starway was not returning her calls, texts, emails, or voicemails. The next day I was informed the car would be arriving between 12-1PM with the driver having left, but that day both the rep and supervisor both informed me that they were also having trouble contacting anyone via call, text, voicemail, and email. I was never notified about the status, and eventually the driver arrived around 430PM. This was a horrible experience as I am completely new to this area with no family and friends across the country and the services I expected were not honored. I delt with constant lies and excuses and ultimately received my car much later than expected with terrible communication and professionalism along the way. I also have screenshots of them telling me a supervisor was contacting me in that moment, which didn't happen until the following morning after multiple requests. I was quoted $1,449 to ship his Jeep from CO to PA. I understand that they provide a 5 day window for pickup but I strongly preferred not to involve anyone else - I wanted to be the one to hand off his car to the driver. They targeted a Friday pickup. I said I needed Thursday. They called back and said "how about Saturday or Sunday?" They were not listening and were wasting precious time as my departure date from CO was approaching. They found someone for Thursday pickup but changed the $1,449 to $1,549. I told them I thought they were holding me hostage. They called back and said they could reduce the fee to $1,549. They must have failed math because that was no reduction. The driver originally said he'd be there at 6pm. Then he said he was 120 miles away and would be there at 8pm. Then 11pm. I reluctantly agreed to $1,549 in order to get the car loaded before I left CO. But the pickup driver said it would be an extra $100 because we had too much luggage in the back if the car. I ignored him. This afternoon, when he delivered it to PA, he reiterated the $100 request. I pointed out that it did not take up any extra room on his transport truck and that I was already charged $100 more than my contract. He eventually left without his extra $100. The overall experience was not 100% terrible. However, they did try to charge me more than what was originally agreed upon. I ended up paying about $900 or more total. When my vehicle arrived, it was a very unprofessional man with his son following behind him in a separate car. He stayed on my driveway for about 20 minutes talking about politics and other strange topics, and when I opened my car door a VERY intense smell came from inside. It smelled almost like human fecal matter. I am very disturbed, and now feel like my car needs an insane detail job. Would not recommend using. I have used them a couple of times in the past. They always seem slow to get my cars shipped. I think they low ball their drivers (which are all subcontracted) and cause delays. worst experience ever. i was told i would get 24 hours notice and they would come near my house. they called and said i had 2 hours to get to the drop location that was 45 minutes away or i would miss my entire window and have to rebook. then i receive my car a day late, the windshield is cracked, there is a basketball sized dent in the trunk and the alignment was so messed up i had to drive to the nearest auto shop with my steering wheel sideways. ***the worst part is i bought the bogus insurance and i was told it doesnt cover any of the damages that occurred. seriously???? what the heck does it cover then????? second worst part- the bill of ladding was changed at some point during the trip and they added the dent to the rear acting like it was already there, but i have photos and the bill of lading from the pick up to prove they altered it on the road. and they didnt even use the same color ink when they added the next dent. so dishonest! $1535 and its going to cost me another $1500 to fix everything they messed up. never ever, ever again. read more

***Hire Montway at your own risk***. My order number is #959843. Montway transported my vehicle from NJ to GA, they delivered the car with a hood full of rock chips which can cost up to $8k to fix. The driver didn't pick up nor deliver the car on time, but I overlooked that. The Monday night when he was supposed to do the delivery, I had to call him around 10 PM when I didn't hear from him, that's when he informed me he would deliver the car the next day, Tuesday. When he delivered the car I didn't see the damage at first, because, there was dirt all over the area hiding what's underneath. It wasn't until after I had the car washed I discovered the damages, which was four days later, the Saturday of the same week, because, I am very busy with work, I parked the car in the garage and didn't use it. Now, they are hiding behind the fine print on their web site telling me I should have transported the car in an enclosed container, and according to the disclaimer on their web site, they are not responsible for rock chips. They refuse to take responsibility for the damage. I am caught between Montway and HK Transport LLC, the company they hired to transport the vehicle. Classic bait and switch, they had my car booked for 5 days before anything was even done, and the only reason they even did anything was because I called for a update and when I did I was not assisted at all, blown off and treated like trash. I called back and asked for a manager, I spoke to Joe who I suggested should review their recorded message for training purposes and train his associates. In the end someone else called me and said they could pick up my vehicle that day but it would be a extra $160.00, they had already wasted 5 days.
