Eggs Benedict with French onion soup.
    David N.

Went for lunch. Fantastic food, I had the eggs Benedict, and French onion soup. My companion had the vegetable paella. Which she liked. Not only was the food great. But tge service was fantastic. Always there but never in the way. Next time I am in fort collins I will try and go back.

We came in for a small midday snack, little hen pattee with fresh baguette, gherkins, and a delightful Dijon mustard! Although the entrance was a bright deli mustard yellow, the inside was a quaint softer yellow, with wood accents. Our server was wonderfully attentive but never seemed rushed with the busy noon crowd.

Absolutely loved my experience here! The food was fresh and delicious, the coffee was smooth and rich and the atmosphere was perfect. I love that there was no rush to turn the tables, we were able to sit & enjoy our food in a leisurely fashion and really enjoy the whole experience. I will definitely be back and I can't wait to try something new from the menu as all the choices looked amazing.

Very cute place in old town. We just returned from a trip to Paris, so I was hesitant to try Colorado French cuisine. Very glad I did, and you will be, as well. Strive was excellent. Our server knew every detail of every menu choice and had solid pairing recommendations. The food stands out. Im a French Onion soup afficiando, and the had the best flavor profile of any I've tried--clear winner. It could have used a touch less salt, but the herbs made up for it. My wife had the eggs with smikes salmon and it was perfectly done. I had the Nicoise salad which was a risk since I have a big appetite. I was full, and the taste was awesome. We were here for lunch and definitely intend to try dinner here to see if it's just as good. No reason to believe it won't be. Joie de vivre!!!

Great food and ambiance! We loved it and would definitely come back. I do wish they had more crepe options, especially savory ones. But I highly recommend the house soup-- it is zesty and refreshing!

It's been two years since the last visit to Fort Collins, and Philippe's remains an outstanding choice!

This was the perfect way to start Easter Sunday. My brother and I decided to try this place for brunch since I've been meaning to go here for a while. We both got the croque madame, and let me just say croque maDAMN it was good! The soft and slightly sweet bread paired with the French ham and runny egg made my taste buds quite happy. Although a seemingly simple dish, it is well executed and something that I will be thinking about for the next few weeks.

We visited this cute French bistro for dinner. The service was very friendly and prompt, and the atmosphere is very nice. It wasn't too loud and was nice for a calm dinner. Two of us had the bouillabaisse, which had a decent amount of seafood (one piece of cod, three mussels, and two shrimp) but was lacking in any real flavor. The bread with rouille spread was the best part of the meal. I would suggest ordering something else. The steak frites was the other dish we ordered, and the steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The sauce and fries were both good. We did not order dessert, but nearby tables seemed to enjoy them. Overall, worth a visit, but some entrees may be better than others.

The ambience is really simple but clean. It's a relatively small restaurant but they made our party of 8 work. I liked the decor and lighting which fit the restaurants theme very well. The coq au vin had really tender meat with a savory sauce. I really appreciated the addition of pearl onions and the sweetness it added. I thought the scalloped potatoes were a good texture too. The escargots were also really tasty. It was swimming in garlic/scallion butter and had good texture

I had the absolute pleasure to dine at Philippe for dinner tonight. When writing a review, Yelp asks you to talk about the food, service, and ambiance. Well I'm happy to say that on these three categories Philippe hit a trifecta. Let's start with the ambiance. Located in the heart of Old Town in an historic building, as you approach Philippe the charm of what awaits you inside becomes apparent. Upon entering, the restaurant host greeted us with a smile and showed us to our table. being my first time for dinner I took a loom around and the restaurant simply exudes French charm. Our server came by promptly for our beverage order. When it came time to order, while my dinner companions knew what they wanted, I had narrowed it down to three menu items. I asked the server for his recommendation and that ended up being the Coq Au Vin. After tasting it, I am glad he did. My dinner companions had the Saumon A L'Harissa and the Moules Frites Vin Blanc. When the food arrived the presentation was fabulous. I eagerly took my first bite of the Coq Au Vin and the deep rich flavor of the red wine along with the tender chicken was amazing. My companion who ordered the Moules Frites said they were delicious but she seemed to enjoy dipping the frites in the white wine sauce even more. The Saumon was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. The ambience, the service, and the food all came together to make our dinner at Philippe a perfect evening. We will definitely be back.

The bar almost resembles something you might find in a small European hotel, which may suggest they are aiming for a slightly upscale tone, though it never feels pretentious. The seating is varied, with small tables and retro chairs that seem intentionally chosen rather than bought in bulk. The spacing is better than most coffee shops, which makes it easy to settle in without feeling crowded. The back area opens up even more, and the soft drapery adds a touch of personality that appears to hint at events or just a bit of flair. The staff continues to be the standout for me. Everyone I spoke with was kind in a way that felt natural, and they knew the menu well enough to help me navigate dairy free options. I usually order the avocado toast on focaccia because it is consistently fresh. The bread looks oversized at first but is airy and soft, and the avocado and radish topping feels simple in the best way. The matcha made with water has also become a go to since it tastes smooth and well-bodied without that chalky, thin finish some places have. My partner and I visited during their Dia de Los Muertos weekend and tried a few themed items. Everything was good, and they were quick to suggest dairy free choices. Prices seem fair, even with the general bump everywhere lately. The only thing I wish they had more of is outlets. It is still a nice place to work for a couple of hours, but coming with a charged laptop helps. The overall vibe is calm with just enough energy to keep the space from feeling sleepy. It works well for coffee dates, casual catch ups, or solo work, especially for anyone who prefers a relaxed atmosphere without too much chaos.
