Dr Tse is my grand mother's renal doctor. Dr Tse is easy to talk to and genuinely cares about the well being of others and of course their kidneys. Dr Tse definitely knows whats he's talking about. If you or your loved ones need to see a nephrologist in San Jose he would definitely be one of my top choices. 4 stars for Dr Tse overall 4 stars for the location 4 stars for cleanliness 3 stars for ONE of the front desk girls 4 stars for the rest of the staff

    Nice parking area ;)

For my 2300th review, I would like to brag about my medical office group and the staff over at One…read moreMedical in San Jose. I've been a member of One Medical for quite a few years now. I converted over to this group when my doctor out of Emeryville joined their practice. It's worth every dime to be able to have the service I need, when I need it and have seen the value in being a member. I love booking my own appointments, when and where I need them and can find offices all over the city and the bay area. I have access to all my own health records online and can reorder prescriptions at one click. I never have to wait more than 5 minutes for an appointment, because no one has time to sit around and wait when they are sick or have things to do. Michelle Benrath is my Primary Care provider and I'm very happy to have her on my side. Since finding her, I've made her my primary and since then have gotten to know each other well. The doctors and staff give you respect, truly care about your well being and follow up when they say they will. That's everything you can hope to find in a doctor and medical group, especially in this healthcare market.

Less than One Star for just this 1Med Office on The Alameda…read more 1. they tell you to give yourself extra time - I did but there is absolutely no parking in a 1.5 block radius - parking is really bad even without the construction zone to negotiate - so I painfully sprinted to an appointment that I knew I would be 5-10 minutes late but if you get there by 10 m after they will take you and my need was very small. I am a retired health care professional and knew I would need an Xray before they could treat. 2. The lab tech went in through the side door and let me in there with a smile. I was really stressed and you helped Arisa (sp?) TY btw 3. The receptionist- oh yes the receptionists there are often not as customer service oriented like at other 1Meds or like at Stanford Clinics. This one was one of the worst. The first thing he does is give me a tight lipped mean eyed once over and starts acting like it is so difficult to check me in. No greeting. No smile. No let's see what I can do. Is it a sexist thing? Is it Age-ist? Ethnic prejudice? Or is it just this guy Aussie (sp?) power trip? Someone completely insensitive and lacking compassion. There is no one there but they do have a big camera on the waiting area! 4. After wasting 5+ minutes doing whatever the heck he is doing, in the unwelcoming / unsympathetic way, and making me wait there uncomfortably while he silently types away (punitive?). I say I know the rules and you need to check me in quickly and tell the DNP I am "f-ing" here - I did not actually say the f word though pretty ubiquitous now days, but still I have to be treated pretty badly to even use the short reference. He was really bad at communication - how does he even have a job doing this? 5. This DNP Katie comes out completely unwelcoming, says the apt will be shorter. I say ok I understand. When we sit down she wants to use the AI. I say no because there is so many articles out now about how it's not HIPPA compliant/private. She says it is. I say not necessarily. She says she doesn't like being called a liar. Whoa way to spin it up, as I did not call her a liar! I said I just have read about it, I don't want it, and she may just not know. Still in a huff (am I supposed to be helping her?) she complained "it's going to be slow" in an irritated voice. At that point with the lack of welcome, empathy, compassion, use of soft touch people skills for an anxious harried patient (how many other patients stressed arriving w/ the parking , etc) - I walked out. The lab tech saw me and asked what happened. As I told her Katie came out and said she did not even say that the non-ai notes would be slow. OMG I said I just heard you complain about it! I will never go back to this 1Med this one is the WORST of ALL their offices which are generally pleasant welcoming and with good staff with a rare exception. 6. The biggest problem is the quality control is not good. At Stanford Clinics if a staffer messed with you like that, someone would know right away. But it is also just their culture. One Medical used to be a concierge before purchase by Amazon, need to fix their culture as it has dissolved to lowest common denominator if this bad EQ spreads. 7. Calling their main number most of the people there are helpful. The problems is when you have a problem with a staff member and your complaint goes nowhere, and might even boomerang in the mix. They defend their money making staff not the sick/in pain patient who had to deal with said dismissive staff plus.

I must admit that has left me with the conviction that Yelp is a tool for people to be libelous and hence I have not left a review but ten years have past that is water under the bridge. Dr. Kapoor took excellent care of me when living in Santa Clara for 7+ years between 2017-2016. She is affiliated with O'Connor hospital and her office is close by. She has her own practice, so does not have the overhead of a medical group and takes the usual insurances. One thing I noticed is that she is very good at referring to specialists that are both very competent and price competitive, i.e. colonoscopy, eye and ear doctor. I am very well taken care of here in Massachusetts but my colonoscopy was 2-3 times the cost. She took over the practise from my previous doctor 1996-2006 and kept in touch with that doctor when she was very sick of kidney disease more than ten years later. For me, that shows that she cares.

When I pointed out all of the clinic's one-star Yelp reviews, she said "Those don't matter." I can't even imagine how bad the doctor is if she tolerates such incompetent staff. Believe all of the one-star reviews and look elsewhere for a doctor.

I've been reading reviews and notice a lot of negative reviews on someone the name Monica.... At first, I was going to give it the benefit of the doubt as all patients go through different scenarios but when I called I encountered Monica and geez, she must really dislike her job to be in health care and be super rude to everyone! SMH. As amazing as Dr Josephine sounds and would love to have her as a primary, I now have to look elsewhere since little Ms Monica over there told me I have to call back in 4 months, they don't take waitlist and apparently not taking new patients when I was advise different from my OB doctor. Health care is very important and if you have people working front desk like Monica, please rethink your approach as who should be at the front desk.

One staff member in particular. She very clearly hates her job, and hates the patients. Has a chip on her shoulder and is extremely combative. It was like arguing with a child, not an adult in a professional setting.
