All they did was mix up a batch of cement and dump it into the hole. Wet cement. Into a hole. Filled with water. Figured they knew what they were doing, but all they did was watch the water rise to the top of the hole and flow out, carrying wet cement all over the lawn and driveway. Their only reaction was, "We don't clean up. You signed a contract." Now we have to spend several months smashing apart chunks of cement and removing debris from our grey lawn and driveway.

He not only came out but worked overtime and at the end gave me a bill that astounded me for how fair and low it was. Just a few days ago there was a mechanical issue that necessitated a major repair of the well. We lost water for just a few hours because on a Saturday John West showed up and figured out how to turn our water back on until he could do the necessary repairs. It turns out that a pipe to the house from the well was broken. John brought out a temporary water holder, hooked it to the well, ran a hose into our home to restore all water, and then told us to have the hole dug to get to the damaged pipe 4 feet under the ground. The day this was done he came out that afternoon and fixed everything. The man is as honest as the day is long. His prices are the best I have seen. The man and his family were a pleasure to deal with. After having tried other well companies we will never again go with anyone else.

I can't tell you how many times companies give time slots and show up hours AFTER the time frame. But not Markool! They are on it! Jorge and Jose were my technicians. They were both very friendly and went right to diagnosing the issue. After about 30 minutes, they figured out I needed Freon. I asked the pricing and they had a tablet to look up the pricing right away. If you need Freon be warned it's expensive! Not this company's fault though it seems to be commonly expensive when I looked online out of curiosity. These two technicians were knowledgeable and explained everything. Sahara Dry's proposal had them doing more than the others and for less money. A recent snow melt followed by several days of heavy rain had ground water leaking through my basement walls and bubbling up from the floor where a previous owner had drilled some holes. Sahara Dry's owner, Jeff Smoot, and representatives from two other companies specializing in fixing wet basements come to my property, look over my situation, and write up the solution. All three pretty much proposed the same solution which included an installation of a French drain. But only Sahara Dry offered to do the entire perimeter, drilling behind the small space between the wall and my two furnaces and two water heaters. (It's a duplex.) The other companies wanted to dig in front of my furnaces and water heaters. Not Sahara Dry who did the extra, hard work of drilling behind these obstacles to provide me with a complete solution rather than an easy solution. The other companies wanted me to arrange to have the water heaters moved out of the way. Not Sahara Dry who took care of that. One company said my adjacent crawl space was fine; the other did not even offer to look at the space. Not Sahara Dry who took the time to investigate and offer a proposal for a total fix of my problem. Working with Jeff's sons, Keenan and Aidan, was a pleasure. They really know their stuff and worked hard alongside their crew members. It's a real drag to have to deal with a wet basement. Working with Sahara Dry Basement made it as enjoyable as possible. And now I am no longer afraid of any forecast for rain.

Whenever they and their helpers were on site, the work was first-rate, and I'd welcome either of them back without hesitation. My one real reservation is staffing. We gave the company our strict timeline a full six months in advance, but for the first four months the crew was here only sporadically; which delayed our project and pushed our other contractors behind schedule too. The last three weeks they were here almost every day and accomplished a tremendous amount, which honestly just made me wish that commitment had been there from day one. For anyone comparing bids, the rates run a little higher than some but the quality of the work backs it up. If the company dedicates its people to your job from the start, you'll be in great hands.
